I have been a customer with Ultra for a while now and I must say I absolutely LOVE my beautiful stylist named Cassie! Cassie makes me feel comfortable and appreciated, Cassie goes above and beyond to make sure I leave Ultra feeling and looking beautiful, I am so grateful for her service and dedication to her craft. I am picky about the color and cut of my hair, but I never feel worried, I know I'm in great care with Cassie. I went to this location for my hair twice, and I'll NEVER go to Ulta for salon services again. Never. Ever. Again. The first trip; I was just a bit early, so while waiting, the person at the Dermalogica counter wanted to do a "skin evaluation"--they told me this was a short process. It took nearly an hour and ended not with me being told about my skin's specifics--but rather trying to twist my arm into buying about $500 of them on the spot. No samples, no treatments--just wasting an hour of my time and a high pressure sales pitch. Worse--my salon appointment--now PAST it's start time--still. Hadn't. Begun. When I got in the chair, my stylist was a very chatty female but not memorable in terms of skills. She sure had a LOT to say, which is fine, but I began to see why they were running behind on appointments. It took two hours or so for a basic cut (Where I wanted the dead ends trimmed and lost 3 inches without warning, after being assured I would not!), wash, and blow dry. The second time, I saw a gentlemen who mentioned he used to work in finance before becoming a stylist. I wanted a fade from my roots to blonde, which he said wasn't a problem--I mentioned I had dyed my hair in the past. He walked away to get something, and when he came back, said he had spoken to his manager and we'd be taking a risk and couldn't do what I asked because I had dyed my hair. I assured him it would be fine, because I have been dying my hair myself most of my life. It can stand up to a lot of abuse, and I was unconcerned. . .until he told me that, to do this process, the cost was $250!!! Without warning!!! While I'm already in the chair with wet hair!!! There was no escaping or saying no and I 100% felt he KNEW it. Remembering his background in finance, I also doubted the manager had anything to do with this. He also trimmed off a lot more of my hair than I wanted, saying that old line of "There's no avoiding it--you have SO MANY split ends!!!", nearly forgot to style it, and what I ended up with was not my goal; My entire hair, from root to tip, got lightened, rather than the roots remaining natural and fading beautifully to blond. I paid, but did not tip, which the cashier seemed shocked by and kept asking if I was sure; I WAS BEYOND SURE. The original quote was far, far below what I got cornered into. I also had my brows done here once, but as I recall, the person who did it contacted me via phone and tried to 'remind' me of the next appointment was due to make! I hate that. I really, REALLY do. Companies who use my number to text or call me into another appointment or to sales pitch me? You'll never see me again. You can email me--but don't freaking call me during dinner, lunch, etc! Outside the salon, that's up to you; I just wouldn't darken the door of this salon for any reason ever again. read more

So tired of this location NEVER having simple items in stock. They never have my very common shade of makeup in stock. They didn't have dermatologica clear skin sunscreen in stock today. I know it's gross but they wouldn't sell the tester either. At least could have offered a sample of the product or something. Cashier says shipping would probably be 5-7 days. First off let me start by saying I do not go to the salon often, not really at all and I do not try new or different things. So when I saw a style on one my favorite beauty bloggers I thought "I'd like to try that" especially since I had been debating the silver hair look. This is where I went wrong..... dreadfully wrong. I felt at ease when I saw my stylist had her hair colored too and she showed me her Instagram. Ok... I'm in. Nope... again wrong. First look after bleaching and color application, my hair is blue with purple at the ends- nothing like the picture below. I had to say stop. The only thing that kept my anger in check was her age and the repoire we had built in the last 2 hours (I felt motherly). It was BAD! It is now two plus weeks later and I am going to see a master stylist at another Ulta for a correction. The stylist was sweet and I could tell very upset that I did not like her work, but it was DEFINITELY not what I asked for. The GM was very helpful in making it right by refunding my payment and setting me up with a top notch stylist who came highly recommended at another store. I am trusting this mishap will soon be forgotten. Moral of the story.... be sure, very sure of the stylist, your choice, the stylist, and the stylist's abilities! read more

Rude and hostile are the first words that come to mind when I think of this Ulta. I buy my shampoo/conditioner here because it's the most affordable place to buy it, but the staff is just nasty and toxic. They are unrelentingly conceited, sarcastic, tepid, curt, insincere, arrogant, catty, snotty... you get the idea. It's a very unpleasant place to shop to say the least. My lovely cashier today was "Nakisha," who stared daggers at me across the store as I approached the beginning of the line, and made it clear in our brief interaction that she wanted nothing more than for it to be over. Before even deigning to hand me my receipt, she resumed her petty, self-important little chit-chat with another co-"worker." I absolutely DREAD going here. EDIT: I've changed to a product I can order online when I need it. Ulta will NEVER again get my business. read more

I came in at 4:00, completely confused about how the entire online salon scheduling system works and they were able to get me in in about 10 minutes for a signature haircut. I've had some really bad experiences with color treating and hair cuts, but Kayla was able to give me the PERFECT haircut! It was exactly what I wanted and she was so sweet throughout the whole process. The staff was so nice during my haircut and my hair feels AMAZINGLY soft! Will definitely be coming back. I freaking hate this ulta. I had to run in (HA. That's a joke because every visit takes at least 30 minutes) to grab foundation and of course they're out of my color. No worries, says the sales girl when I finally get someone to help me. There's more in the bunker. Great! Not really-now they have to track down the mythical Keeper of the Bunker Key. Of course no one can find her and of COURSE there's only one key. At this point I've been standing in line for 15 minutes because there's one person on the register while no less than 5 other associates wander around aimlessly not helping customers and apparently not capable of ringing people up. My foundation is finally located and I get to the register. I ask the associate if I have rewards points ($20 dollars worth) and she literally rolls her eyes at me because she has to void my transaction and start over. Shouldn't you ASK people if they want to use their points, especially if you're gonna have a shitty attitude about it when they do? I blame myself really because every time I come in here I swear it's going to be the last time, but this store is just so dang close to my house. This really will be the last time though. I had an eye brow wax and tint appointment at 5:30 I got stuck at work and told them I would be 10 minutes late they said they wouldn't be able to tint them but they could wax them I showed up and the waxer Jessica said she cancelled my appointment because she leaves at 6 and she already broke everything down. The ulta is fine but a little disorganized they have a shelf in the back for clearance and the items are thrown around in baskets to where you have to dig. The coupons are terrible I tried to use 10 dollars off coupon and I was told I couldn't use it on name brand blush. Also if I ask for help I should get it right away or at least in 5 minutes top, but no the lady was finishing up with a customer their wasn't anyone behind her so I asked for help, the women said one minute after the customer all of a sudden 6 more showed up and I was waiting 10 more minutes finally I got posses and told her what she's done and she came to help. Once you become a Platinum member you get early access to new products and additional discounts and exclusive perks. You are definitely rewarded for shopping at Ulta. I love how some of my favorite products like OGX, Soap and Glory and Shea Moisture are normally on sale or have frequent sale promotions. The products are normally stocked up well which is great when you need something. This location is great with inventory but will definitely call another location for you if what you need is out of stock. read more

I am in love with with benefit brown at that ultra offers. Morgan asked me everything there was to ask to make sure my brows turned out exactly how I want them! I've been looking crazy for almost a year growing these caterpillars out and she perfected the game. She asked about how I wanted them tinted, how I wanted them arched, if I wanted them filled... not your average joe salon that just waxes them. Worst experience ever! I don't write reviews but this Ulta was awful. I made an appointment with the salon and when I arrived the stylist insisted that I canceled. She insisted that it was either me that canceled or someone playing a joke on me. She opened her calendar and my appointment time was still available but she refused to honor it. The manager came out repeating the same idiotic story about someone playing tricks on me and that the stylist was unavailable. They were rude and accepted zero accountability for their actions. I love Ulta very much but the past couple of times I've been to this location I haven't felt like an appreciated costumer. I went a few weeks ago and one of the managers (I'm assuming) named Angel didn't have the best of moods with me. She was very short and made me feel rushed to leave. I came in today and she checked me out again and had the same attitude. Didn't ask me how I was, didn't smile, was smacking on her gum and was very very short once again. After landing a new job, I walked into the store so excited to try something new and ready to stock up on new makeup. I was prepared to drop some cash in there, but I was greeted by awful customer service. I was approached by a lady in the store. I explained to her that I needed blush and told her what I normally wear but wanted something new. She gave me a suggestion, and I told her politely that I wasn't sure if the makeup was the best fit. "I think I like this shade best," I told her. I was was expecting her to give me some feedback. She said, "It's your face; you have to wear it. Wear what you want. Let me know if you need help." She quickly walked off. Unsure of myself, I put it back. I still needed foundation and concealer. To another lady: "Ma'am, can you tell me where to find XX concealer," I asked. The lady responded, "I'm not working right now; you'll have to find someone else to help you." She couldn't have just been nice and pointed? In the time it took her to be rude, she could have just been nice. With no one to help, the store appeared to be under staffed. Another lady approached me, and I told her what I was looking for and was looking for suggestions. "I'll be right back," she said. She never came back. I am a bigger woman and I was there on 9/29/14 in the afternoon when a black woman that was working the register and another woman claiming to be the Manager that stood there laughing and snickering at me. And I overheard one of them say "Instead of needing make-up this fat cow needs liposuction. And the other laughed and said "more like gastric bypass to help that one." My weight is a medical condition which I cannot help and have been receiving treatment for, for years. To not only know they were making fun of me behind my back, but to also hear it when they thought I didn't hurt so bad, I ended up crying myself to sleep and still crying today. I never experienced something so rude and disgusting especially from somewhere I used to spend alot of money at and supposedly is a high end cosmetics store. I will NEVER shop there again!! I am a fairly regular Ulta customer. I went in today to purchase perfume for my daughter's Christmas present. They were having a special of a free candle set with $50 purchase. My purchase was $55 so I asked for the set. They were out. I asked for a substitute. The manager told me it was only while supplies last. I explained that the sign was still up and asked for a substitute. They had very cute promo bags, etc. I was told they were all for other promotions. I asked if there was anything she could substitute and she offered me a trial size dry shampoo. Umm no thank you. Here's the thing, I understand "while supplies last" but retail is dying and I'm in the store spending money on something I can get cheaper on line. As a store why wouldn't you throw ina lip gloss or something? I didn't purchase it. I'll go over to Macy's and get it and if they run out of the gift I know they will substitute it with something or I'll just buy it cheaper on Amazon . Stupid move by Ulta, you lost a sale and pissed off a good customer for a couple of dollars! read more

I was talked down to by what I assume was a manager while I tried to make a return for a gift I'd received. She was downright rude to me, and made me very uncomfortable. Let me just say - customer service is off the charts wonderful. I came in there yesterday looking for an umbrella while it was a gully washer outside because I had just gotten a spray tan next door. Well the manager told me they don't sell umbrellas, but they searched all around the store to help me find something to cover up with. Well they finally found an umbrella and they actually walked me out to my car and held an umbrella over my head the entire walk there. It was the sweetest thing. I was so impressed and I appreciated it so much. The girls over at Palm Beach could've cared less what happened to my $60 tan, but go on over to ULTA and you'll find the sweetest staff around!! I didn't even buy anything there and they helped me just to be friendly. It really warmed my heart. read more
