I will say I love Ulta and I do love geting blow outs. But I was very disappointed in this one. I get them 4 times a month from differnt places and seeing how they took less time, I just knew the results weren't going to be great. I do ask for pin up curls to hold more volume. The side by side pictures shows it did not hold its shape , I did see Lourdes do this blow out and I am sorry but this time she did not do a good job. I however saw Adrianna a few days prior and she did a great job! And listened to what I wanted. I shall be back but hoping to see Adriana next time. read more

I love going here because they carry my favorite brand of nail polish, OPI. Every time I come in here they always greet me with a hello and someone always ask me if I need any help. There prices for the other products they carry can get a little pricey but they often send me a $3.50 off coupon of $10 or more so that helps a bit. But other than that I only really come in here for my nail polish and during the holidays they usually have sails for OPI too. read more

I can't say enough about the two young ladies I've encountered and had the pleasure of their services over the last few days. I saw Kristin for a calming facial. I felt fabulous and my skin looked amazing afterwards. She didn't push products on me at all. She gave me a few samples and then showed me a few things she thought would be beneficial for my skin. It was relaxing and I felt completely comfortable and pampered. Price was great and very affordable. Prices are listed on the app when you make your appointment so it's pretty straightforward Michelle B did my hair. When I tell you, I haven't gotten so emotional from someone just touching up my roots and giving me some amazing layers..she knows hair, after she blow dried my hair and turned me around I had tears. I looked FABULOUS. I feel like I've met "the one" finding a stylist is difficult sometimes. She listened to me before she even touched my scalp. The one star is for the pleasant young lady at the register. Otherwise, I would give zero stars. They have the option to order items not in the store online, pay in store, and free delivery. Since I've had a UPS box for over 20 years, I have packages delivered to it to avoid porch bandits stealing them. I attempted to order a lipstick color that they never have in their stores anymore. I was told that they can't ship items to a UPS or PO Box. I used a credit card that uses the UPS as its address. If Amazon can ship to it, they should as well. Now, I'll just go to the lipstick company and hope I can order from their website. Wasted gas coming out here after trying to find at their other stores. read more

I'm pretty sure I only shop here when I am in dire need of something specific that I know Ulta carries. It is just not a fun place to shop. The ladies in black (the sales attack force) does not allow browsing without supervision. So, I do not browse. Don't need obtrusive sales women. There are way too many clearance aisles in this Ulta, which are completely disorganized and messy at all times. Makes me feel like I am at a flea market or Wal Mart or something. This ulta is such a disappointment. The employees always cheap out. Whenever there's a deal with a Free gift with purchase, they never give it to you without you asking for it. 90% of the time they say "they're out of stock" I consider this to be false advertising. Don't put a label on a product claiming it comes with a free gift with purchase but refuse to abide with the rules. Customers shouldn't have to ask for the free gift every time a purchase is supposed to come with it. At the very least if the item is out of stock then replace it with a different item. Have had this experience 9/10, definitely not going to be going to this Ulta location anymore. read more

About ten years ago a friend discovered that I had never been to Ulta and it was like she had discovered I had never worn shoes. She went on and on so much that I thought I had to check it out for myself. I don't wear make up mainly because I am lazy. The advantage of this is that I never have to worry about running into people before I have "put my face on" as they are pretty much used to this face. But my daughters do wear make up and this store was great during the Christmas Stocking years because I could get them little things to fill it up. From the tips of her toes to the top of her head, the beauty industry has a product to improve every single aspect of a woman's body and it is all here. Whether you are shopping for yourself or others you will find the product. I used to be intimidated by the women who work here but I found over the years they have been really helpful in tracking down the products others wanted so they don't make me nervous anymore. My "beauty" routine consists of keeping clean! Yay! I shop here consistently because they have the very shampoo that I prefer. I wish I could just pick something up at the drugstore but I really like this one brand. When I buy it, I get points on my frequent shopper card which means they send me coupons. You have to use the coupons, right? So I also come here to buy my face wash because if I use the coupons, it's cheaper than at the drug stores. The line can be a bit long and they have to always ask you if you want a magazine but overall, shopping here is pretty easy. Plus, it's next to a fabric store and across from a Starbucks. So once you have gotten your supplies to glam up or just clean up, there's lots to do in the area. read more

I went to this Salon in January 2008 to get a trim and some hair coloring done. The stylist dyed my hair blonde first, and then put the purple dye in. I asked if I needed any color protectant gel/shampoo/etc, and the stylist said no, and I asked if I needed to wait a day or two before washing my hair so it can set, and she again said no. So, I went home, like 5 hours later, I did a light rinse and the color just fell out. So I come in the next day, they recolor it for me, and you know what color they give me? Auburn/Red. I mean, I WANT PURPLE, and they dye my hair red, and it's just not worth it. However, I've never had much trouble with the haircuts themselves, just the ruddy colorings. I paid way too much to have my hair colored completely different from what I asked for. read more

I've been coming here since I was a little kid with my mom and it is the only place I buy my cosmetics, so the store itself is great. My main reason for writing this review is BILL, who is a hair stylist at the salon. He gives the BEST hair cuts. Not only is the cut and style beautiful every time I walk out the door but every day when I do my own hair for months, it still looks great (and I am TERRIBLE at doing my own hair). They need a men's section. I just stood in the doorway while my wife went and picked up the things she needed. I mean sure there were a lot of cute girls there, but it's hard to pick up chick with your wife around. The least they could do is to move the store next to Best But so I can go in there while she's in here. I mean that's all this is,right? A Best Buy for girls. But in all fairness, I bought a few xmas gifts here over the years and they always give out free bath robes. This would be a bonus, boom that's one more gift I got you, but women know their given away free with purchase. The prices aren't bad and they have some kind of reward program that my lady loves. She actually was able to get $80 perfume for like $15 over the holiday season by using points. So that's cool. If they put in a TV section or a beer cart I would be more inclined to shop here and would definitely earn them another star. read more

This is my favorite Ulta. By far the most helpful customer service I've experienced with Ulta brands. Great stock on makeup and hair tools. I've also used the Benefits brow station (meh) and the salon (excellent). My favorite areas in this store are the makeup displays and the hair tool displays. Bravo. read more

The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the great selection and good sales. Bad service in both cosemetic section and salon area. The Salon is horrible. I asked for 10 inches off my hair and they cut off 18. I know this because I was doing my 10 inch commitment for locks of love, so they gave me the ponytail to take home and mail it, when I measured the pony it was 18 inches. Not only was the lady being snippy and mean to me but she cut off an extra 8 inches off my hair, then took off some more to make my hair even / style. How can one mistake 18 inches for 10 inches? I made my appointment early in the week via phone for Saturday and made sure they knew it was a locks of love appointment. They called to confirm the appointment on Friday and then I asked to make sure I didn't need to bring anything since it would be an appointment for locks of love. I was told no and simply bring myself. When I got there the lady told me they do no do locks of love appts. on Saturday. I told her I let them know when I scheduled my appointment and she said she would be right back. When she came back she told me she talked to her manager and was told it was up to her if she wanted to do it or not and said she "guesses she would do it". I told her I'd be more than happy to reschedule and come back another time. She said she already blocked off her time and there is no point for me to leave now. That is where I should have left. She was very rude the whole time and she didn't have a ruler / tape measure to measure the amount of hair, so she said she was going to use her comb which was 6 inches. I thought that was fine, so I do not understand how she cut 18 inches off. Using 2 of those would have been 12 inches. She did not show me the amount of hair she cut off before she snipped away. I didn't say anything in the store at first thinking maybe it was my fault and misjudged how short 10 inches would make my hair. When I got home with the pony tail in the bag and measured is when I got really angry. I called the corp. store and although the person apologized they said they could only offer me Ulta Points but then realized I didn't have an updated Ulta Card so was told there is nothing they can do for me. Another time I came here to get new make-up and could not get someone to help me. I admit I was dressed in jeans and a hoodie that day and just took a shower and did not throw on any make-up (I figured I'd try different make-up lines and didn't want to put make-up on top of make-up). I waited around patiently with each associate going to more high end looking customers. I finally found someone another section of the store and asked for her because I kept on getting passed up for more well dressed shoppers. When I told her I was switching make-up lines and wanted suggestions she simply just said a name of a brand. Not asking about my skin tone or needs. I then asked if she could recommened which foundation would work best for my skin she said either and walked away. I then went to Macy's in the Orland Square Mall and went to Mac. I told the sales lady the same thing I told the lady in Ulta. I looking to switch lines of make-up and would like her to help me out. She asked several questions about my skin and make-up habits. She was able to recommend me a concealar, tinted moisturizer, powder, and bronzer. She applied the collection to my entire face to make sure I was satisfied with the look and colors. I even had her suggest me a lip gloss color and I bought all 5 products. read more

Workers were rude. As someone who works in retail, I will never understand why some employees treat customers as if they're a nuisance. I came in because all the lip liners/lipsticks I've been trying have come out orange. I walk up to the employees and they show me a few options. I then mention the lipstick and the woman completely dismissed me and told me that I could get in line to checkout. I was hoping they'd help me figure out my skin tone/undertones so that I could pick a good lip color but instead they rushed me out of there. I always preferred Ulta but I will not be coming back to this location and I'll probably go to Sephora for any questions I have from now on. The workers actually seem knowledgeable on skin tones and which makeup will work on the customer. If you need any advice/have any questions, don't come here. When time to check out the cashier female #1 called me up to the register for me to stand there while she "attempts" to login (and says nothing else to me). Approximately 2 minutes pass (I watch exchange of another employee #2 compliment her outfit from target). I asked Claudia (not employee 1 or 2) if she could check me out (after asking employe # 1 if she is still trying to login in). So employee #1 then steps away from her register to turn to employee #2 (who complimented her outfit) to say "that was rude". So I'm rude because she called me to register and was not ready for work? I moved to Orland Park last spring and I found Ulta Beauty when I was driving around Orland Park. I would watch a lot of makeup tutorials and beauty hauls on YouTube with Products from Ulta Beauty and I was hoping that one day I would shop at Ulta Beauty. My wish came true when I moved to Orland Park back in April 2017. I live 10 minutes away from Ulta Beauty so I practically live at the store. I love all of the makeup products there. I would not recommend the salon. My sister has dark blond hair that she has lightened professionally. After going to ULTA Salon in Orland, she showed up at my house with green hair. It had a brownish-green cast. How do you even get hair that color? Then my mother-in-law, who has always had gorgeous, styled shoulder length hair got her hair cut there. They chopped it off, too short. They made her look old and she is the youngest-looking grandma around. If you are going in ULTA to buy your own haircolor, fine, but I'd avoid the salon. read more
