I went into the Ulta Beauty on Sand Lake ready to purchase three different gifts for my sisters, fully intending to spend a good amount of money. Unfortunately, the experience made me walk out without buying anything. From the moment I walked in, I felt constantly followed and watched. I couldn't move through the store without another employee immediately approaching me. This wasn't helpful customer service -- it felt like being stalked, and it became extremely uncomfortable and annoying. Offering help is fine, but being on top of customers in such an excessive way is not. It completely took away from the shopping experience. Because of this, the store lost three guaranteed sales, and I chose to shop elsewhere. I won't be returning to this location unless there's better training on how to assist customers respectfully and without hovering. read more

I love coming to this Ulta, it's near my home and it's so convenient to stop here when I need some things. Today I came for a brow wax and tint at the Benefit Brow Bar. I have been coming to get my eye brows done for years with Ulta. The lady today was absolutely amazing and I was so happy with the look she gave me. Love this large, stand-alone location, it's so much more convenient than the one close to the mall. This store is generally nicely stocked, although trending items can be tough to come by - as with any other physical location. The staff here is generally friendly and helpful, as well as plentiful, offering assistance as you browse, so it's nice to know there is always help close by! The pricing here is competitive, and they offer great discounts/coupons throughout the year. Their beauty rewards program is fantastic, and even better if you have their credit card. They also have in-store pick up, or quick shipping options for online orders. Ulta is my go-to for cosmetic & beauty products! This location is located in The Marketplace, which includes many other businesses we frequent, so popping in is too easy! There is ample parking here, including accessible options for anyone in need. They also have a recycle bin for beauty & cosmetic containers that accept any containers whether bought at Ulta or elsewhere...Love this! Every time I visit this Ulta, I always leave frustrated. The employees never help and if they do they are super rude. Most of the time the employees are in groups laughing and judging customers. I love this location! It is larger than some of the other locations I have ben to. They do a great job of pulling you in with the ever changing front sale displays. Home Goods is a few steps away - which I frequent more than I should - so often I will just pop my head in Ulta to look at the front to see what amazing deal I can grab quickly. The staff seems more well trained/helpful than other locations - an added bonus when I need help. My skin is changing from menopause - so changing a lot of my products is frustrating - but necessary - I've never felt awkward even when discussing an issue with a younger helper. read more

Didn't assume anything. I especially liked how she consulted with a staff member to confirm that the color selection was correct. It's great to see staff interaction and made me feel more confident. I really like this location because it's close to my work. This time a was greeted by Renata, she was so friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Because of Renata friendly and welcoming spirit I end up buying more products than I went to buy and I don't regret buying them. At the register Nicole was another superstar . Nicole recommended to take advantage of the hair Bogo offered at the time and she personally left her station for a brief moment and got the second product for me. She was fast , friendly and kind. When I explain the problem I was having with my computer and placing my neighbor Kayla immediately took me to her register and helped me with the whole order and getting the free shipping! This is by far my favorite Ulta in the Orlando area. The team members are always super friendly and helpful. Any questions or product comparisons you inquire about they always give honest and well informed advice. I never feel pressured to go for the ultra expensive products like other makeup stores tend to push rather than suggest products that will benefit you and your budget. Also if there is ever any issue or you are not satisfied they always honor their 60 day return/exchange policy. I have yet to return a product they referred me to that has not been beneficial. I recently purchased one of their misting sprays and I did not notice the one I grabbed had it's top loose. I purchased, came home and found almost all the content spilled in the bag. Came back the next day and explained the situation and got a brand new one in less than a minute. I highly recommend this Ulta in Dr.Philips for their customer service and overall great experience every time I visit. read more

Here's the scoop fans! Were talking a stand alone Ulta. For those that don't know Ulta is typically nestled smack dab in the middle of a busy shopping center. Just your typical box store. At this location they separated the store itself from the shopping center making parking and access optimal. Also huge plus its at a light and on restaurant row! Also this location has a "skinbar" Im assuming makeovers? One thing Ulta lacks in comparison to their competition (which he whose name shall not be mentioned..... but you know what store that is). Ulta is Ulta don't expect a greet at the door or a welcome unless a brand specialist there. Know what you need and get it for cheaper than.... well you know the competitor! I honestly REALLY enjoy coming here! I started to come here just to get my brows done. Brandi is literally so sweet! She's incredibly nice, fast, and her work is flawless! My brows always look great after seeing her! She also KNOWS HER SHIT when it comes to brows! She helped me manage my eczema around my brows and gave me suggestions AND she helped me with make up tips too! Telling me which primer is the best and which brow pencils are great too! Great place to shop, I've found that the sales associates are super helpful when you're looking for products. The times I've shopped at this location, it hasn't been super busy like other stores in Orlando. I love that I am able to get M.A.C. products at this location. However, I had a horrid experience when I scheduled an updo at this location two years ago (out of pure convenience since I was getting my makeup done at the M.A.C station). When I booked a reservation for myself and a friend, I asked if they were able to do updos and they said yes. The day came and the stylist had no clue what she was doing, ended up frying my hair and making me late to the wedding. So I recommend this Ulta for shopping, but a hard pass for hair styling. read more

Amazing service at the benefit brow bar. They offer a multitude of different waxes and are very professional. I was created right at my appointment time and the whole appointment was a breeze. Somehow not painful, even though they are literally waxing your face. Karla consults with you to see what kind of brows you want, maps out your face to make sure they are perfect, and she is very precise. She even does makeup on you and fills in your brows so you are good to go afterwards! No harsh redness! I would highly recommend, although I would suggest calling the salon real quick to make sure she is available, as she is very popular. read more

I love that this location is in the Dr. Phillips area, although, this might be dangerous for me, as I'll be tempted to splurge on makeup everytime I'm in the area. I got the pleasure of coming during grand opening and I'd have to say that the staff handled things quiet well. It did seem like they were understaffed that day for the grand opening since the line at the register was a bit long. But its grand opening, sort of to be expected. Just like any other Ulta, this location has may varieties of makeup, skin care, hair care products that will make it easier for your everyday beauty needs. The only thing that disappointed me a little was that there weren't any signs that items were on sale. I know for a fact that the naked pallete was on sale that day I came in, but there were no signs that it was.. making me a bit skeptical about wanting to get in line to buy it. And all the other staffs were too busy to help. Be sure to follow ulta on a regular because they pop up all sorts of great deals everyday. read more

She kills it and truly nails a combo platinum blonde with multi beige dimensions. The thing that truly blows me away about Julie is that she uses chemistry to nail your hair. The first time I came in she asked me where I lived and after I told her she said, "oh you have HARD water. I have to go more ashy so that your blonde doesn't turn yellow in a week." I was blown away by her smarts and professionalism. And true to her word my blonde has yet to turn brassy or yellow. She is the best! Also kills the color and is just a great all around person. It was my first cut and highlight with Lauren Brandt, and she was phenomenal! Lauren was gentle with my hair and answered all of my questions in a way that I could understand. She offers advice and options if you ask for it, but she doesn't make you feel pressured to make decisions unless you are comfortable with it. Today I went to buy couple of products from Ulta First of all let me start by saying that I love my Ulta and the fact that it is in my neighborhood makes it so convenient, but the staff is horrible no body ask if you need help. I want to purchase Lancôme serum I asked one of the employees and she said sorry but we don't sell Lancôme products I told the lady mam yes there is a whole section for Lancôme her excuse was sorry I didn't know. That's is absolutely ridiculous that the employees don't even know what products the store has. As I am checking out as usual they ask for my email and I said no need to provided it and that I am not interested in the rewards program the cashier her name is SAMANTHA didn't like that as she bagged my stuff again asked for my email and said "if I want to return a product I will not be allowed to return unless I sign up with my email address " first of all i didn't mention any return Second of all yes I can return if I have my receipt I don't have to be signed up under my email to be able to return. I go to my car and I red on the back of my receipt which is clear enough that I can return with receipt. I go back to the store to let her know she insisted on the fact that ULTA will not except any return unless I provide the store with my email. That is very unprofessional and unethical to lie to customers and use scary tactics just to have them get their emails. It is the principle don't lie to customes I contacted the headquarter office and complained about the worker Samantha. She needs to learn a lesson on who to respect and listen to customers. First, this is a long overdue review and I am a garbage person for taking this long to write it. Lauren B is amazing! She fixed my terrible roots and at home semi- permanent "fixes" , and is bringing me back to blonde. She listens to you and knows exactly how to get your hair where you want it to be. Tbh, I never would have considered going to an Ulta for my hair, but I was new to the area and crossed my fingers it wouldn't be a disaster.
