if I could give this Ulta negative stars I would. the store manager Bev was extremely rude to me and overheard/saw her going off on an employee for matching me with a foundation. This is not my first run in with her but it will be my last. And she is always rude and not welcoming. And I will be shopping at Sephora instead. because of Bev the store manager. This was my first time at this particular Ulta location, and I was pleased with it. Definitely needed a bit of organizing on a few shelves, but they had a good selection of products (doesn't look like any supply chain shortages here!) and the staff was all very sweet and helpful. It's nice to see that Ulta now carries Mac products, so of course I had to grab one of their lipsticks! If I'm in this part of town again, I'll probably drop in and see what's new and what specials they're having- when I first walked in this time they had a table of products marked up to 70% off- hard to resist! read more

My boyfriend went into this store looking for items I had wanted for Christmas. When asking for help he was met with no help and a literal "I don't think we even sell any of that" with direct screenshots from ULTAs website. No offer to help him find similar products, no offer to help him purchase a gift card, no suggestions for best selling products! I'm honestly so glad he left empty handed because we won't be giving this establishment any of our money. Glad he went with the Sephora in Town Center instead. We have just moved to town, looking for a new hairstylists. Lexie was recommended by my sil. We did go in rushed, hoping to get an appointment. We did!!! Lexie was wonderful. She is accommodating, did a good cut for my daughter. She loved her haircut and said "I found my stylists!!! She will be back for her cut now, again and again. Thanks Lexie!! Please let me start by saying that this poor review has no reflection on the young lady who did my hair. She was bright and upbeat, cheerful and happy all the way through. Her personality shined. However, given the fact that Ulta is far from an upscale salon, I was a little (a lot) taken back by the amount they charged for services. I spent $250.00 for a hair cut and highlight. My hair is the length of a pixie so even the amount of time I spent in the chair (2.5 hours), was extremely excessive to me, and totally unnecessary. In short, their fees are way overpriced. I have been going somewhere else for years (unfortunately, I couldnt get in to my normal stylist), and even with a brow wax included, have never spent more than $130.00. On the bright side, I did rack up 214 points, which is worth $6.00 on any product or service available in the store. lol 5 more highlights and cuts to go at the rate of 250.00, I might get something free in that store. Do I like my hair? 250.00 I better love it and love is a very strong word here. Given my hair type, dont ever plan on spending less than your car payment here. read more

My hairstylist ghosted me I don't know what happened to him and my sister referred me to Ulta. I googled and I don't know who's giving this place less than five stars but they need to visit Nicole if they're getting their hair done. She is absolutely amazing and knows what she is doing. We had my 16 year old daughter's makeup done here for prom and we were thrilled with the experience. I booked online about a week before prom and requested a certain advisor based on a recommendation. About two hours before the appointment, I received a call from Anne telling me that our advisor had an emergency and wasn't in but that she had someone else lined up for us. We got there and were introduced to Suze who did a wonderful job with my daughter's makeup application. She took the time to understand what "look" my daughter was going for, explained what she was doing and what products she was using during the process, and was very friendly throughout. We did spend $167 on products but I never felt any pressure to do so. We would recommend Suze any day! read more

I called there to see if they had an item or would be getting it in soon so I didn't have to drive all the way to Belton. The salesperson who answered the phone was rude and didn't ask how she could help me or what item I was looking for. If she was really busy, she should have politely asked if I could hold. Instead, I was abruptly put on hold for 2-3 minutes with very obnoxious (death metal) music before getting the call disconnected. I drove an extra 30 minutes out of my way to Belton after double checking they had the item I was needing. The sales staff in Belton were polite and helpful. After reading other reviews, it seems folks at this 135th street location need to have some customer service training or get replaced. Staff at other Ulta locations have generally been very helpful, so next time I will know better than to go to this location. read more

I've been an Ulta customer for years, usually at the 119th St location, so I was initially excited when a location opened closer to my office. That excitement was short lived. The reason for the 3 stars is most of the time when I go to both the 119th & the 135th locations, there are 2-3 employees playing make-over off to the corner. I can hardly find any help. Prior to this experience I have NEVER had any issues shopping at Ulta. The employees are always knowledgeable and helpful throughout my trips. Unfortunately last night was an exception. Although I had no issues finding what I was shopping for, an employee NEVER ONCE acknowledge I was there (I was in store for over 30 minutes). I found what I was looking for and then some and proceeded to the checkout line. The cashier rang my purchase up to a total of 68.51 where I used a gift card my dad gave me for Christmas ($25). I am a platinum member (for several years now) and I have saved up 56.00 in points and wanted to use them. The cashier (Kennedl) informed me I had 0 points. At this point I open the Ulta app and show her I have well over 1000 points and 56 dollars saved. They told me that they were unable to use my points and that they could not cancel my trajnsaction so I had to pay the remaining balance of $43 out of pocket. There was NO manager at the store or anyone else who could assist me and my transaction. If I had really not wanted to purchase these items please tell me how/why they couldn't cancel and start the process over. On a different register my points popped up so why was I unable to use them? All of these questions weren't answered by the employees so how do I know this won't happen again. read more

I got my hair done at the salon here. I needed my ombré reversed and my hair dyed one color. The color turned out great, however the service was terrible. I booked my appointment online. It told me it would take an hour and 45 minutes, which was fine. During my visit, the stylist that was doing my hair started dying another customers hair. This left me sitting in the chair until she asked someone else to shampoo my hair. I then returned to the chair and continued to wait while she was still dying someone else's hair. I finally asked for a comb to brush out my own hair, paid 150 dollars for the service, and left 2 hours and 15 minutes (would have been longer) after I arrived with my hair soaking wet. read more
