Store can be busy at times, but the staff is always helpful and will find you what you are looking for or something similar or better. If they don't have things in stock, or they don't sell it in their location, they are more then happy to order it for me, have it sent to my house, and I don't get charged shipping. Me and my friend went to ulta a few weeks ago, looking around the hair spray, the cap was off so we assumed it was a tester the lady with short blonde hair snatched it out of my friends hand and said "that's not a tester" in the most rude tone. i'd understand if she politely said it wasn't a tester but she was very rude about it. i'm still upset about it after a few weeks later, i've never had a bad encounter like that EVER. read more

I went in and asked for the picture with the darker greys, and I walked out with my hair the absolute mess you see in the picture. I was told I could achieve the look in one day and so I sat there for 7 hours and did not get anywhere near what I asked for. My hair is completely fried and damaged now due to the bleach and it is several different colors beyond what is seen. I also paid for a style and walked out with no style at all. I got my hair done on my birthday and cancelled all plans because it is just horrible. I will be going back today to hopefully receive a refund and fix this. read more

I went to this Ulta for their Brow Bar services from 2017 - 2019 when I lived in the area. First of all, Jesi H. is the reason this review is getting more than one star - she is such an amazing human being and honestly going to see her was the best part of living in the area. Such a sweet, funny, awesome girl, and I actually have thought about going back just to have her do my brows again, hah. I think I have reviewed this location on another site a while back but it's been a while and I definitely feel like folks should be aware of the issue I had in June 2018 (a while back, sorry about that). I had made a last minute appointment over the phone with an employee for a brow wax with Jesi for a day or two before I was leaving for a trip to Los Angeles. It had been a while since my last appointment and I wanted to make sure I looked decent. When I arrived at Ulta, I informed them of my appointment and they said it wasn't in the books. Ok....no big deal, I'll just wait if she's on break or something. No, she straight up wasn't working. The employee I was speaking to asked if it was urgent...honestly, it wasn't urgent enough to see someone who had never done my brows before, but she claimed she was great at brows. So I agreed. She took me back to the actual beauty service area (not the Brow Bar) and talked me into a 10 minute facial/blackhead removal in addition to the brow wax. I always have to let people know when they do anything involving my face that my skin is VERY sensitive to products, heat, waxing, honestly I think if you even looked at my skin it would probably turn red and start breaking out lol. She started with the facial - putting the steam pretty close to my face, which started to hurt after a while, obviously, so I mentioned it. Then came the most painful and painfully long blackhead extraction I have EVER had. Oh my god, it's like she was trying to dig through my skin to my soul. I've not had such a painful facial before or after that one. Then the steam went back onto my face for a few minutes while she prepared the wax. I really wish I hadn't done this brow wax. It was horrible - she ruined the shape of my eyebrow. It was completely flat on top, no dramatic arch, and the tails were practically non-existent. Sadly, that's not actually the worst part of this. She BURNED MY SKIN in between my eyebrows, closer to my right one. So much so that I looked horrific even after applying extra foundation and concealer. It was painful, oozed for several days, scabbed up, and I had a temporary mark on my forehead for about 7 months afterward. My trip was 4 days, and I was still struggling with this burn on my face when I went back into the office. Sadly, the pictures I took on my trip were all filtered because it looked absolutely horrifying, and filters were the only way to make me look somewhat normal, but I'll attach one or two where it's more visible. It wasn't a small burn, either - it was the size of a quarter, very dark and red, and then turned brown. Covering it with makeup was impossible due to the texture and color. Honestly, the worst part was that after the facial and wax, my technician gave me a card for her PERSONAL micro-blading business and told me to make an appointment. After talking with another employee at this location, that is DEFINITELY not allowed. Completely ruined my trip, sadly. read more

I came in with red hair that HAD to be fixed because of my job. Kayla and Aly both worked hard to help me and get it fixed. It's still partly red however, you can't even tell. It looks so much better than any of us expected. I am so thankful for their help. read more

I normally don't have any problems but when I just went in recently the manager was very unpleasant and speaking horrible about the beautiful people in the store. I was quite disturbed by this seeing as everyone is equal. I hope this is resolved soon! read more

I didn't want to give them my phone number and the customer service person told me I couldn't make returns without giving them a phone number. Even with a receipt! What kind of crazy nonsense is this? In the day of so many privacy issues one would think a progressive store like Ulta wouldn't have such an archaic policy! Customer service is non-existent. You ask for advice on products and the workers are impatient and instead of helping they watch your every move like you are going to steal. Being non-white it is obvious my looks are a target for them to assume I'm there to rob them. I went for monthly facials and at one appointment the facialist left me under the steamer that was dripping with scolding hot water. It is obvious customers are not important unless you look a certain way. read more
