I like my stylist at the Oleander location, however I showed up today at 12:15 for my appointment and the appointment was NOT in their system. When I made the appointment, on July 24th, I received a confirmation text. I showed the text to my stylist but there was nothing she could do. All appointments were filled. This is so exasperating, I arranged my schedule to be at "my" appointment on time plus I wanted my hair styled. Their on-line reservation system is terrible!!! There is no guarantee you will have an appointment when you show up. Appointments can Not be made over the phone since this salon, unlike others, does not have a receptionist. read more

One of the cashiers at this location was extremely rude and tried rushing me while I was paying. And when I was leaving all she said was "bye." It's ok if you're not having a good day but you shouldn't take your bad attitude out on paying customers. I'd much rather take my business to the smaller Ulta in Target where the employees are kinder and not rushing me or passive aggressively calling me "babe." read more

I decided to try the other location in my town, and truly a positive experience. It is set up differently than the other store , but no problems finding things. I was helped by two great associates finding what I needed. One was Angel , she is awesome, has a wealth of knowledge and helped me pick out products that were better suited for me. She directed me towards a more natural based product compared to a more chemical based product, which is what I prefer. It will be my go to place for products now. read more

Well, I just realized that the nice review I put for Ulta went to the Mayfaire Ulta instead of here at the Oleander Location...sigh. :(((( So please look at that review before reading this one... Today was another great visit to Ulta...and want to give a special 'shout out' to Sierra, who was so helpful to my daughter and me. There was also another gal (tall and blonde hair), whose name I failed to catch :/. She was so helpful helping us find a brush and even went and asked the salon which would work best for my daughter. This definitely was not one of my favorite Ulta's. The set up is long and narrow and some of the items were empty in the shelves (especially sale items.) I wish I would have gotten a picture of the bare shelves. The workers were walking around like they didn't want to be there. One girl was very friendly and she did help me find what I was looking for. I love Ulta in general but will go to the one across town instead. I really just like the set up better there. read more

I have to start this review with "SHERI IS AMAZING", just to grab your attention. From the moment I met Sheri, I could already tell that she was going to be the right one to take on the extremely difficult task of cutting 9 years' worth of my locs and repairing a rough hairline. She was very informative and knowledgeable of what she could do and always kept my options realistic, she also always made sure I was comfortable. I went into to see her with high hopes, a bit of nervousness, and a to be honest a gut feeling. No words will ever describe the work of art this woman created out of the remains of my locs, no gratitude will ever be enough, so I'm just going to keep going back -shrug- I was not disappointed, and I promise you will not be either. I honestly don't know how Kelsey made this possible, but while I was getting an entirely new hairstyle, she took amazing care of my eyebrows. I opted to have her pluck them and it was the least pain I had ever felt getting them done. She did an amazing job with the arch, and to be honest I don't how she got them to look so good, but they look the best they ever have. I will definitely be going back to her very soon. I went about 2 weeks ago to Ulta in Mayfair in Wilmington. I just wanted my goatee and mustache colored gray as most of it was already gray. Three people heard me and entered it in the computer. The woman colored it but did not let me see it till she was done. When it was done my goatee and mustache were solid black! I told the manager which was one of the people who had heard me say what I wanted. She scheduled a appointment the next day to fix the mess up. The next day I waited 30 minutes past my appointment. The manager then came out and said they were not confident to lighten my hair and thus I would have to deal with it or shave it off! Do not go here. The woman who did the color has been there 10 years. When I and my wife complained to her she said she colored my hair black instead of what I requested because SHE thought it would look better! If I could give a minus score I would. I called corporate and they said they would call me back, they never did. read more

Lindsay (dark clothes and dark hair) yesterday ( 02/03/2024) this attendant was extremely rude with me. I wasn't receiving my email, and this month it's my birthday, she even said anything about it, so I asked her if she was seeing anything on the system.. she asked me if I received the emails I said no.. she checked my email address, the only thing that i asked her was if my surname was spelled with m or n she made me repeat everything.. she was with a rude smile and when finished she said very rude if I finished... I will NEVER come back to any Ulta Beauty store.. I also want my money back. I prefer to buy everything on Amazon or Sephora.. I hope that that ridiculous woman will be trained and have more empathy and know how to treat customers better. My daughter has been going to Jennifer for hair cut, style and color for years at J.C. Penney in Independence Mall. On a couple of occasions she has gotten die on the back of her neck that was difficult to remove. She now works at Ulta in the same mall. Today my daughter came out with a half a dozen die (dark brown) drip spots on the front of her new shirt. She went back and showed Jennifer what happened (immediately when I picked her up) and Jennifer sprayed them with hair spray and told her to take the shirt home and wash it! Are you kidding me!! $100.00 for that kind of service!!? She should have done much more to make it right. We called the manager (who wasn't working today? in an effort to make it right.
