Carmen had the best pressure when it comes to massages/pedicures and knows how to carry a conversation and make you feel welcome! I've seen reviews about the gentlemen that's "rude" and I can tell you that he does great with my fill ins and jokingly tells me to stop trying to control my hand. Tip number one: if you don't think he's joking, you need more humor. Tip two: don't look at your hand while they're working on them, it helps you to relax them (that's what you're there for is to relax)! Kim always goes a great job with my eye brows! I came in for a full set. I did not know the name of the place because there wasn't a sign. I did see a small window sign that said Nails 4 U. I was greeted quickly and sat within 2 minutes. I have never been in such a more unclean, disorganized, messy nail place. I feel like I need to get a shower now. The pedi chairs and furniture are so outdated and there is dust and nail residue everywhere. I don't know how they are allowed to be open. So far this is the worst nail salon I've been to & It sucks because the workers were nice and friendly and worked in a timely matter. HOWEVER, they are not following COVID-19 guidelines. They do not check temperatures, they do not make you wash or sanitize your hands before working on your nails, they do not sanitize each station before sitting a new client at that station. They use the same tools (buffers, files, clippers) on everyone's nails throughout the day which is disgusting especially now during Covid! My gel nails which cost $10 extra, are already peeling after getting them done a week ago. Gel nails should last 2-4 weeks. read more

From the moment I walked in, the lady (owner I believe) who did my nails was absolutely one of the rudest people I've ever came across. She rushed my nails & was mad at me for coming in late, BUT SHE ACCEPTED MY APPOINTMENT KNOWING IT WAS AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSE. While she was preparing my nails/filing/buffing , she was practically yelling at me to pick a color bc apparently even though my nails were nowhere near ready to be painted , that was causing her to stay longer ? ? Made no sense to me , she hadn't even finished prepping my nails and was adamant for me to pick a color bc as if it was going to magically make time go faster. Overall my nails were decent but I will NEVER return here. This is my second time going to this salon since I moved to Wilmington & they're just not nice people & the customer service is very unprofessional. I'm paying YOU for a service , treating your customers like s* & acting all hot & bothered all the time is NOT the way you run a business. If I could give -100 stars I would. If you're looking for a decent mani/pedi with a negative atmosphere & tons of judgement & disrespect than I'd highly recommend. While there is no shortage of various nail salons in Wilmington - Yelp really favors those that have reviews .... Walked in on a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty busy - about 8 nail stations and half a dozen pedicure massage chair stations. I was seated pretty quickly, but I had to wait almost 15 minutes before someone actually started on my pedicure. The water was lukewarm by then and my feet very pruney. $28.00 for the pedicure (which is expensive compared to what you can get in Oakland), but it does come with a 2 minute per foot / leg massage. The lady did a nice job on my toes and didn't tickle me too much - so as far as pedicure goes, it was a success! Yes - they take credit cards. Drying station is just a bunch of fans though ... My experience from start to finish was horrible. The middle age man that did my feet was horrible. He had a horrible attitude, unprofessional and rude. He was really aggressive and acted like he did not want to do my feet. Then a woman came over to polish them because I asked them for someone else to finish. I went to get a full set French tip and French tip pedi 5/6/16. I got my pedicure first. It was nice, Nancy was friendly and even though she had to get out a slightly ingrown big toe she did a great job at minimizing pain and asking if it was hurting too much. I appreciated that. I used to get my nails done religiously but haven't for a few years so maybe it's a northern thing, but I found it odd she did my French tip with a a nail art brush. Everywhere I have ever been either airbrushes with a stencil or paints on a uniform strip of white and then wipes away a perfect edge with acetone and a brush. It seemed like a lot more trouble than it was worth trying to paint the tip of my nails with a long skinny brush, it was streaky and started to get thick where she was trying to get the edge straight, she did use acetone to clean up the edge so it still came out nicely. My acrylic full set wasn't so great. Ken I believe did my nails. He was also very friendly and gentle, didn't cut me once and moved pretty fast. Things went downhill at the french, same thing, skinny nail art polish. Now it was worse because my finger nails are larger than my toes. It was getting thick, streaky, and the edges were not straight. He painted my nails clear b4 the white so he couldn't use acetone to clean up the edge. I asked him to straighten out a few nails a few times but I realized this method was just not going to produce what I wanted and I was in there 20 minutes after closing at this point and he told me he was leaving to Gboro for his daughters grad so I didn't want to hold him up. I got under the dryer as quickly as I could and left as soon as I thought they were dry enough out of courtesy. When I got home and really inspected my nails I was sorely disappointed. My French tips not only had wobbly edges, they were slanted (see pics). And my acrylic did not reach the edge of my nails beds so it looked like I was due for a fill in! I did go back Saturday and another girl fixed them beautifully. Ken was there but chose not to say anything to me at all. I would think a "I apologize, that's not our level of quality, sorry for the inconvenience" nothing. I'm on the fence about whether I'd return because I did like the other two girls work, but the customer service just wasn't what I felt it should be. read more

Not only did the guy act like he didn't wanna do my nails, they cracked in half the first day having them and eventually ripped not 1 but 2 of my nails off. GET THIS the lady charged my card for what was only supposed to be $45 ended up being $89 on accident which is fine just void it. But no at first she said you owe $45 more on top of that and your money will go back on within 24 hrs.... 5 days later they charged me $45, I have no nails on any more and I was left crying with burning ripped nails. I am a licensed cosmetologist so I did everything safely as far as removal but from the cracks (I got the powder dip with extensions) my nails are ruined. So no never again!!! read more

One of the worst nail salons I have been to. We're very rude, unsanitary, and my nails look awful. The man doing my nails refused to cut them even though I like them short. He only filed them, which I didn't want. They are all different lengths. I asked for a gel manicure. The gel is uneven, bumpy, and I can still see parts of my nail on each on. I am extremely unsatisfied. I will not be returning, and I don't recommend anyone tryjng this place. TLC nails is way better. read more

I tried this place one time before and are used to like it because like I know like you're not supposed to judge you please buy the first time going there but I did anyway so I got my nose in another place actually then just went there to get a topcoat and on the Silas at six dollars I want to pay in then they charged me $10 and they were kind of rude and they kind of cheated me out of four dollars just like make sure you know what you're doing and make sure you double checked and I didn't want to make a big scene about it so I just paid the extra four dollars even though I planned on going to the store cause I had a budget and I didn't want to spend all my money and the nail salon because I paid for my nails in someone else's except for they didn't have theirs so I had to pay for a full set for gel I had to pay for a nail polish replacement soI thought I knew what I was doing and I overpaid which I should've said something and yeah and by the way I also called the people right after I paid $10 for my nails I asked how much would it be and they said six dollars literally like two seconds ago and just know not to get cheated out of your money and you go there your quality is good I guess from my experiences there is that for they jack the prices the little bit and I've noticed that I don't know if the man needed four dollars or whatever but he charge me way over the nails aren't even that pretty the paint is not on the side kind of thing and it's not really pretty so yeah read more

I just moved here and I'm on the hunt for a nail salon. The owner is greedy... Very greedy. I went for a pedi and a fill. The pedicure was good. No complaints there. I'd go back for that.... Or maybe not due to price. $28 for a basic pedi is a bit too much. The girl I had was VERY sweet... I want to leave a 1 star but she was just so nice and bless her heart, she tried. Once she began drilling, I knew I was doomed. I had a clear top coat of gel polish on my acrylics. Every nail tech I've had, applies this top coat complimentary. It helps the acrylic from staining and provides a solid shine over the acrylic. The owner wanted $10 just to paint the same top coat of gel polish over the acrylic. That is absurd. The bottle of gel polish only costs $10 so no girl.... I'm not going to pay you that for a measly paint job. Moral of the story.... My nails look terrible. I didn't have her paint them. She filed them too low so the old acrylic is showing. I'll just re-do them myself and apply the top coat myself but I wonder what I paid $17 for? Complete waste. Didn't want to complain at the salon because I didn't want to get the nail tech in any trouble. The boss(es) don't look too friendly except for when they want your money. read more

I am very disappointed in this salon. I went in for a pedicure and the entire thing lasted 15 minutes! The man didn't work on my feet at all, I had to ask him to cut my cuticles. He didn't buff my nails or even file them. I was shocked when he started painting, literally the laziest pedicure I have ever had! I love this salon. All the pedicurists are really friendly and good. I've had almost all of them at one point or another. They use good nail polish (OPI, etc.) and have nice products for the spa pedicures. The chairs are all massaging and there is even a smaller chair for children or smaller people.
