The Jobs are not very reliable. It appears these are only 2-3 month contract jobs in which the employer has no desire to hire perm. I experienced a ton of sexual harassment from the previous employer and was afraid to say something in fear of loosing my job in retaliation. I was originally contacted by Victoria from this location of Ultimate Staffing in response to a job posting I applied for online. I called her back the following week. Victoria told me the job I applied for was no longer available but she wanted me to come into their office for an in-person interview with another recruiter, Doug Vaughn. A couple of days later, I came into the Cerritos branch and met with Doug Vaughn and the branch manager, Sonya Suon. We discussed my career goals and my job history based on my resume. One interesting thing they had me do which I had never done before was make a short video file giving potential employers a brief introduction, showcasing my strengths and experience. Since then, Doug has contacted me with a few leads. Unfortunately, none of them have panned out. I realize these things happen and are beyond their control but so far, not a very fruitful experience for me. :-/ A few positive things I can say about this agency is that for one thing, they are prompt to respond to phone messages and emails. Second thing, everyone I've dealt with has been very warm and friendly. Lastly, their office is located in a fairly new, beautiful office building across from the Cerritos Library and Towne Center, and I wouldn't mind working in that building. ;-) I will recommend this agency with the caveat that you shouldn't rely solely on them to find you a job. I was actually looking for work for 3 months. As a student I felt like nobody wanted to hire me or take the trouble to train me and take the chance that I would leave in 2 years. I have worked with other staff agencies, and I have to say, Ultimate Staffing, Cerritos was the only one that met my requirements, and they really made me feel they had my interests in mind. Back in 2017, I sought out help from Ultimate Staffing. Sonya was my recruiter at the time. She listened to every single detail of what I wanted and in less that 2 weeks, I had a job!! Fast forward to late 2019-early 2020. Sonya is no longer at Ultimate. My new recruiter is Haley. Back in October, I completed a certification program and was looking to further my career somewhere other than where I was at. Because the company is small, I reached out to Ultimate Staffing AGAIN because they placed me in something so effortlessly, I figured they could work their magic again. I explained to Haley everything I was looking for. He mentioned the industry I am looking for is hard, but he will keep me in mind. 5 whole entire months have passed. I called again in the beginning of March, and he told me once more that this industry I am looking into is hard, and I need experience, etc. This conversation with Haley was such a let down. He ended with, "circle back with me in a few if you cannot find anything, and I will flag your resume if I find anything" A week passes, and he finally called me mentioning a position I am looking for, but left me hanging AGAIN waiting to hear back from him. I am working with a new agency, and have already found a new Ultimate staffing location that is much more proactive, and is helping me take the steps I need to get the job I want, or at least find a bigger company to grow. First off let me just say the entire staff is amazing from the greeting, to the part where they reach out to you about potential assignments, all the way down to your in office experience this office is amazing. I initially applied for an admin role and I got a call back within two days to come in and discuss the position further. unfortunately that one was then quickly filled but this team made sure they kept putting my skill set out to different clients that they had so that I could be placed as soon as possible. I had interviewed for a customer service role on a Thursday and had been offered the position within two hours of my 10 minute interview. The level of communication that my recruiter Haley displayed was phenomenal he made sure he kept me in the loop and informed of the process and my status during the entire time before my placement on assignment. Even when he was out in the field someone from the office was in constant contact with me letting me know the status of my background check and the status of the overall process. Mr. Haley Cawelti was my recruiter and he along with Jessica helped me get a permanent position within a mile radius from my home. I loved how quickly they were able to place me.
