Five Star Flooring Company! Great quality products, great customer service and great workmanship. We had a couple of the flooring companies advertised on TV to the house for quotes and had to sit through silly sales pitches. We purchased carpeting and vinyl plank flooring we were able to pick out our products and the owner Frank came out and measured. No nonsense no sales pitch, they answered every one of our questions without throwing in any type of sales nonsense. Ultra Floors has been great to work with! They were very nice and informative when we went to the store. They let us borrow as many of their samples as we wanted. They came out next day to provide a free estimate, and returned the samples for us since we were already done with them. The installation guys were great. Back in March of this year, Ultra Floors installed Vinyl Plank Flooring to our master bedroom along with two other bedrooms. I can't say enough good things about the entire process from the initial visit to determine the style/look of the flooring to the gentleman who came over to get dimensions to finally the installers. Years ago, we had the carpeting removed in the two spare bedrooms. They removed the carpeting and the pad while only putting down the vinyl flooring. Naturally that flooring was about 3/4" below the hallway flooring. Ultara Flooring compensated all this with the appropriate amount of new sub flooring. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the flooring to the workmanship of the installer and finally to the staff calling us to make sure we were kept informed on the timelines and to make sure we were totally satisfied with the entire process. read more

Everyone in the store was kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. The owner worked with me on price and gave me a good discount. Lots of choices and everything was explained in detail to me. Loved it. It took about two and a half weeks to get my carpet installed from the time I paid for it, that's okay. The problem is with the installers. I wasn't there to witness the installation, my dad was, so I'm not sure how that went exactly, but the carpet looks good. However, when I came home there were black hand prints all over the walls, doors, and handles wherever the installers touched. Not sure if it's dirt, grease, oil or what. There are also faint marks on the lower portion of the walls, maybe from where the edge of the carpet scraped from unrolling it. I think the black marks were from the door hinges because the doors had to be removed to properly install the carpet. Luckily all the marks easily came off after wiping them. The owner even contacted me about the incident and ensured me it would be taken care of by him personally, which it was. I am very happy with the end product and the professionalism of the company as a whole. The small family-operated businesses are generally better than those big corporate stores like Lowe's or Home Depot, when it comes to customer service and good deals. read more

They've been extremely helpful in designing the kitchen and cabinetry, as well as helping with selection of colors. After much online research and a couple of different stores, Ultra Floors, along with their staff were a relief to find. The carpet we were wanting was difficult to vacuum because it is so silky soft (Smartstrand by Mohawk). They allowed us to bring in our own vacuum and test it on the sample. We were sold. Would most definitely use them again. From the sales staff to the installers, everything went according to schedule. Their showroom has a great display of different flooring's to choose from and I happened to notice they sell kitchen cabinets along with granite. Their selection of floors was huge and their prices are very competitive. I liked the idea that they allowed me to bring samples home to get a better idea in my own lighting. Their samples are a very nice size, not like the index card size that you would get from the big box stores. My whole flooring experience with this company was fantastic. Wow, I don't know where to begin. Buying my first home was an amazing accomplishment and a struggle all at the same time. After having Ultra Floors come in and take a look, we knew we could do what we needed within our budget and give the house our own special touch. I will go phase to phase on what they did for us. When we were closing on the house we immediately asked for the stores owner Shawn Jones to come in and take a look. He is the third generation owner and KNOWS his field. Ultra Floors holds a Michigan builders and Contract license and are insured and will fix the problem if something goes wrong. Had to add this because I have seen too many times (father was in construction) something goes wrong and whoever did the job suddenly disappears. He immediately noticed the run down floors from years of improper care and dogs. He also noticed water damage to some boards due to a faulty window which had been replaced. He gave us a plethora of options on what he could do for us. We decided to sand the floors down and stain them. The price for this annihilated competition as their is a big need for this throughout the Metro Detroit area. We went with a dark brown to give the newly installed white crown and base (done by brother-in-law, ask for referral) molding that special pop. All of these things done were strategically orchestrated by Ultra Floors. Ripped out carpet, fixed floor boards, floor board treatment due to animal damage, removal of baseboards, wood floor sanded, wood floor stained, crown molding installed, new baseboards put in, wainscoting (beautiful) in dining room, all trims painted, new tile in all 3 bathrooms and laundry room (duraceramic installed by Ultrafloors), shoe molding installed, painting of all bases and crown (Ultra Floors contracted guy who demolishes PROFESSIONAL painters competition price), painting of doors and walls, and finally the finishing touch, the carpet which was Dream Weaver. I hate to skip so much detail (longest review ever), but it is important to talk about the carpet. My wife went in 3 times to find the texture, feel, and look. The staff was phenomenal letting us take home samples to figure what was right for us. I could honestly sleep the entire night on what we choose. I haven't gone all night, but have been known for a ciesta or two after a long day at work or golfing. read more

We went to Ultra Floors initially for new carpeting in our home and it turns out they do more than just that! We had plans to renovate our kitchen and we found out they do that as well. Shawn was amazing and offered many great recommendations as far as colors and design. Our kitchen turned out absolutely perfect & me and my husband could not be happier. We went from a traditional 90's style kitchen with honey oak cabinets to an off white color (we resurfaced our cabinets to save on costs), beautiful granite counter tops with hints of grey, white, and black, and a rectangular glass back splash.
