Their service is far superior to all the others. First of all, the pool water always looks blue and clear. But on top of that their techs are reliable, friendly, tidy, and always on time. And after ever service you get an email report with a photo of your pool. No one else does that. He also showed me every services he does for the pool! All tech pool certified, no more high school kids dropping chlorine tap in the skimmer basket, in my salt water pool! (Celis***) and defensive owner Steve didnt like customer asked questions! Or ripped off screen (Water Des***), dangerous pool to swim in, mold, etc other nightmare pool ruins. We had a couple of issues with our pool and called Ultramarine. Darren, the owner, listened and was appropriate in his responses. He told us he could have someone out the next day. Sure enough, Jon showed up the next day. He knocked on the front door to let us know he was at our home, which impressed us right away. So many pool companies just go out back and start working, so it was really courteous of Jon to introduce himself and tell us he was here. Jon was so patient in answering our questions. He even showed us what he was doing, and why and how what he was doing would address our concerns. We like to understand things, so we are so thankful that Jon shared his knowledge with us! We actually feel bad that we missed Jon today (our fault as we were unavailable when he was here) because he was so pleasant and knowledgeable yesterday that we looked forward to talking to him again today. He's the General Manager, so for him to come out twice is so appreciated! It also gives me further confidence in Darren and his company that he made someone like Jon the General Manager. From our experience, what a great decision! Also, the task sheet that Ultramarine uses is great! It sticks to the window, provides instructions on when we can swim, gives phone number and email, and has check boxes for various scenarios that a pool tech could encounter at a home. In addition, there is space to write, which Jon used to tell us what he did today. Plus, it says, "Hope your day is going swimmingly," which this word nerd loves! We have been using these folks for a couple of years. Lately every time they come it's a different person. Yesterday I was home when they arrived. A very nice woman however approximately 5-10 minutes after she left there was an incredibly strong chemical odor. I enabled the jets on my spa to "stir up" her recent addition. In another 1-2 minutes my eyes were burning and tearing excessively and my chest began to tighten. I have no allergies but considered a trip to urgent care as I could not stop coughing. I stopped the spa and left my home. I also noted the silver jewelry I was wearing tarnished without touching the water. Clearly a chemical reaction occurred. My husband contacted this company and was told "nothing was added". This is clearly false as I have never experienced this before. We received an email asking us to refrain from the spa for 2 hours. If "nothing" was added why the delay. Today my spa is incredibly cloudy with an oil slick on the surface. We are actively searching for a new service. I would NOT recommend this company in Sarasota. read more
