I've been having my yearly eye exams at the Ultra Vision office in Eagle Pass, Texas and I love it. Just recently, I made the decision to finally get Lasik and I knew that the only doctor that I would trust for that would be Dr. Tomy Starck. I went in for a post operation appointment on Tuesday February 9th, and got my Lasik scheduled for the following day! I am currently at my one day post operation appointment and let's just say that I am seeing better now than I did when I was using contacts! This is the first time that I am able to see without the use of contacts or glasses in 11 years! And the billing portion of all this was so easy! I can't express how thankful I am to Dr. Tomy Starck and all of the employees at both Ultra Vision locations for making this such a fast, easy, and most importantly PAIN FREE experience. I can not recommend Lasik with Dr. Tomy Starck enough. If you've been thinking about Lasik, this is your sign to go for it!

I'm so glad I chose Dr Starck for my procedure. He is an excellent doctor and offers a very professional and caring environment. Thanks Dr. Starck for your wonderful care and friendly service. If you are ever in Rome, you are welcome at our house for a cup of coffee. Have a blessed Christmas!

They charge $500 non-refundable fee for lasik screening exam. Others in town offer a free exam. Shop around.

He said he understood and in fact my insurance would pay all costs associated with my operation. After an examination from Dr. Starck I was led to the coordinators office and he greeted me like I was a long lost friend which was very odd as I had never seen this man before. While signing several pages of agreements and forms there was a sheet that wanted me to agree to pay $1000.00 that day for the upgraded lens the doctor wanted to use that was not discussed during the conservation with the doctor. When I questioned the coordinator and reminded him about my desire to have my insurance pay 100% of all charges to which he had agreed to, he said he had told me of the charges during our telephone conversation. I said I was happy with the standard lens which my insurance company would pay for. He then said the doctor always uses these lens and does not vary from using them. I told him that was not acceptable and then he offered to pay $750.00 using his personal credit card if I paid $250.00 that day. When I refused his offer he said I could borrow the money from a company called Care Credit and he would co-sign if necessary. This all sounded so scam like and unprofessional I left Ultra Vision and found a more professional Ophthalmology Center. Ultra Vision seems like a great place to stay away from.

I cannot emphasize enough the immediate attention and care that I received in a very professional environment. They listened very carefully. After an assessment a procedure was decided upon. The procedure used was clearly explained to me and delivered with the utmost care and exceptional knowledge. Their technical skills were remarkable and I felt safe and confident in their ability to restore my visual capacity. The results were outstanding and I remain profoundly grateful for having been referred to this practice. I will look forward and enjoy a continued affiliation with them. If you are in search of quality care for your visual health, in a caring environment, I highly recommend San Antonio Eye & Face Institute.

I don't believe they do surgery at this facility but they do micro needling, botox, and injectable fillers. I can only comment as to #1, as I've been taking my ladyfriend to this facility for two years now. Parking is easy, the lobby is spartan but nice enough as a waiting area, and they do keep to within 20 minutes of their appointment schedule. The ophthalmologist we deal with is the wonderfully named Dr. Relief Jones. He's remarkably knowledgeable, willing to explain complex issues, and does NOT push you towards drugs or surgery while conditions are still manageable with supplements or corrective lenses. Highly recommend their services.
