Awful, I was quoted 80$ for a fill in on my acrylic nails. I go up to pay and the old lady told me 88$ so I gave her another 20, she then proceeds to look at me and say 90, FOR A FILL IN?? Unbelievable. The people were rude and had to wait almost half an hour to get in. There was only a couple people in there. read more

RACIST AF!!! Do not waste your time or money going to this dump. Services provided here is horrible and unsatisfactory. The manicure i got here was below unacceptable and saddening. I let the owner know that i was completely unhappy with the job. I asked for a refund and the owner threatened to call the police on me. Being a Black Man I take that as a threat to my life!!!! So I called modern To make an appointment for the 24th at 4 o'clock my appointment I also told my sister to call and also make an appointment for the same day because we had somewhere to go. As soon as I walk in I'm met with a attitude the lady's like show me what you want I show a simple French tip with little dot flowers she's like oh I can't do that and she tries to dismiss me I'm like you just did French tip for me last week wdym you can't do that then she's like okay okay I can do it. So me and my sister go get our toes done cuz there was already a line the lady doing my toes asked me if I was next in line to do acrylics I said yes and my sister is after me. The lady that do nails turns around and is like nonono I'm not doing her nails and I said why not we both called to be here and y'all said you was gonna do our nails. She's like oh Idk ppl from elmira always lying I said why you think I'm from elmira? Cuz I'm black? I'm not even from around here you don't know me wtf and I said why would I have brought her with me if she wasn't getting her nails done then she's just screaming and yelling saying she'll do it tm so that calms down we schedule for tm so I sit down to do my nails everything is calm right when it hits 6:30 she starts rushing my nails the shape is all off she not even doing the design I asked for right my nails are thick as hell the French tip isn't even just a mess so me not wanting to have another situation I'm like can you just add more flowers to cover up the mess your making on my nails she's like idk why you want this design just mumbling under her breath 1. I'm paying for the design 2. You said you could do it 2.why get mad that it's getting late when you put me at this time and it's only one person doing nails 3. I want YOU to cover up the mess YOUR making how you getting mad at me because you can't do your job.so after me being over her rushing my nails I said can I just come back tomorrow cuz your obviously rushing and it doesn't look right at all she literally gets up throws her chair and starts throwing a tantrum I don't want to do your nails anymore your lying blah blah so I call the cops cuz I'm not paying for this shit the cops come and even they said it look like a child did my nails the lady was super unprofessional racist and just straight up not listening I'm just sitting here like wtf wrong with this lady Fr so y'all just really don't even waste your time or money go somewhere else the lady that actually does good designs moved to Texas a few months ago so it's just a bunch of people who dont know what they're doing. Their work is great; however, the service is aweful. I payed with my card and the owner said $25. I looked at the reciept and she had charged me $40. I asked her to give me a refund and she rolled her eyes and tried to give me gift cards. I demanded cash and she proceded to tell me to give a $5 tip. I said no and she threw the cash at me. Went here a few months back it was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I got there at 5:30 on a Saturday. They weren't very busy and I got right in for a set of acrylics. The lady doing my nails was rushing through them and I realized the other employees were started to clean the place up like they were closing. I asked the lady what time they close and she said 6 and said I came in at the lasted minute. She seemed very annoyed and rushed. Never in my life have I ever seen nails that looked as horrible as mine did. The acrylic was so thick and lumpy. She didn't let them dry and rushed me out because they were closing. When it came time to pay I was beyond pissed and complaining. They said it was my fault because I came in last minute. I had no idea they closed at 6 on a Saturday and if they didn't have time to do it right they should have refused me or at the very least told me they were closing soon. I guess they couldn't say no to my money. On top off all this when I first got there and there were other customers there the employees kids were running around the salon screaming. They just allowed it to happen and didn't tell them to stop. Like I don't mind the kids being there but we are there to relax and enjoy ourselves. It was annoying and not relaxing at all. When I went to get a fill else where the guy asked me where I got them done and was showing the other other employees how terrible they looked. Totally surprised to find this little gem in what feels like the middle of nowhere to me as I am from Ft Lauderdale but there it was. Located in a small stripmall, I could not believe what a perfect little salon this was. Super clean, nicely appointed and updated, I got a spa pedi and mani. I love the message part and they did it for a long time, way longer than any other place and I have been to alot of them. It is by far the best place in the area, and if you are reading this and you need a mani or pedi, do not hesitate, this is the place to go. I am visiting family in the area, and came in from Dallas, TX. Because I was visiting for 3 weeks, I was in desperate need of a dip mani and gel pedi. I looked online and read some reviews, and because of the area I was going to be in, I decided on this place. When I arrived, the interior as underwhelming and didn't look very clean and put together. The guy behind the counter started taking my dip manicure off, but instead of soaking them off, he decided that he was going to try to rip them off. Should have known at that moment that this was a huge mistake. I told him to stop and told him that we needed to soak them off. He eventually gave in and brought over the remover in a bowl. After we soaked them off, we went over to the pedicure side to start that process. Same situation....instead of soaking off the gel on my toes, he thought it would be a good idea to pick at the polish with a cuticle trimmer, then rip the gel off of my toe nails. (Taking strips of my actual nail with it.) Finally, I told him that he was not doing that anymore...after I told him to soak them a couple times. I have never once gotten upset or yelled at a nail tech before this experience. He stormed off and threw what I assume was a mini temper tantrum, and didn't come back over for a while. Then he asked one of the girls to take over. The girl that finished my pedicure did a pretty good job. Back to my nails, because they can't do both at the same time. They moved me back over to the nail seats and another woman finished my nails, because the man refused to. All in all, my nails actually look pretty good, but the experience was probably the worst I have ever had at a nail salon, and I have been going for 20 years. read more
