Terrible food. Expensive. Food tastes like frozen microwave meals from ICA. Save your money and stay away from this joke of a place!

However the five dishes we shared weren't all very good, the spicy cauliflower had a distinct burnt flavour, the stuffed mini aubergines were very vinegary and quite awful. The interior is VERY dark and despite the restaurant being quite empty when we arrived 5pm-ish we were seated in the darkest inner room, at the smallest table right at the kitchen and the entrance to the inner room were everyone passed by. The pitabread (very dry) was stuffed in a plastic bag in a basket on every table. When the food arrived it was hart near impossible to fit everything on the small table for two. I did however enjoy the patata brava-like dish, the mushroom/onion/garlic, the beetroots and the passionfruit juice. And I'd love to try the other vegan dishes on the menu, and I'd be happy to give a 4 if the next visit will be more overall satisfying.

We ordered 4 plates between us and that was plenty. Highly recommend the hummus (it really is good) but it doesn't come with pita. The fried cheese rolls were really good but super rich so be wary. We ordered the house red wine and it was actually good, also the service was pretty fast and super friendly!! Great option for a low key dinner.

I had a bowl of the fish stew, which came with a side of cream that was like sour cream. I watched some other gentlemen take a spoonful and put it in their soup and eat it. That fish stew was hearty and delicious. They also serve organic beers here and I had a Stockholm Organic Lager, which tasted like a German Pilsner. It's not a huge place, and when we got there, the tables at ground level were full. They have outside seating, but seeing how this was early January, we didn't want to eat outside, even though it is covered (but still a bit open). They have these "stadium-style" seats with little tables, though, and we climbed up there. They have everything partially made, and when you order, they put it together. There were only two people I could see handling it, but service was great. Some of the best food I ate all trip.

It's a very small place, so a lot of people take their food to go. There are a few tables along the window and then there's stadium seating along one of the smaller walls. It's a cool concept, but it's kind of hard to climb up, especially when you're trying to climb around people. It does provide a good view of the restaurant though. It's fast casual, so you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The service was pretty fast. The food is incredibly good. We did one of the dishes with meat and the other with vegetarian. We got the sauces they recommended with it. It had so much flavor and tasted very fresh. I would highly recommend coming here while you're in Stockholm. We enjoyed it way more than the places you have to pay the times the price.

We were all staying in Gamla Stan and I was able to find this little gem less than a block from our hotel. With solid reviews and photos and an easy reservation system on their website, this was a win-win-win for sleepy, hungry travelers. We made our way to dinner at 7 pm and had almost the whole restaurant to ourselves. They had reserved a lovely, long table for our group of six that gave us ample room to spread out, even in this fairly small restaurant. The ambiance here is totally on point--modern yet cozy with gorgeous Swedish touches. The menu is simple, which I like while traveling. It featured a handful of small plates, six mains, and two desserts--between all six of us, we tried almost everything they had to offer. We started out with the pickled herring three ways, because, well, Sweden. This portion is big enough for 2-3 people depending on how hungry you are--we got two orders for the table. Even if you're not a huge pickled fish fan (I am), I definitely suggest giving this a go since it's such a staple in Stockholm. The plate comes with some crackers, butter, and cream for topping your herring, although I was a fan of the fish by itself as well. For my main dish I ordered the ox cheek, which I'm not sure I've ever tried up until now. This was surprisingly so tender and delicious--I gave my fiancé's meatball dish a try and was super happy with my choice. The meal paired with great company, yummy wine, and killer ambiance made for an incredible evening. Definitely suggest giving Brinken a try!

Ulriksdal Slottsträdgården is a castle garden, cafe, shop, indoor greenhouse and outdoor self-picking field of produce and flowers (when in season). It sits adjacent to Ulriksdal Slott (where you can get a tour of the castle museum!) and the castle's park and Orangerie. I recommend visiting everything together. The day we spent out here was as close to heaven as you can get while residing in the Stockholm area during summer! Absolutely lovely!!! I can't wait to go back again this August! =) =) =) It's an easy drive here that takes about 15-20 minutes from the city center. There are also buses that come out here, but it's a bit more of a trek that way--You'll have to stop at "Ulriksdal begravningsplats" and walk for a while, the rest of the way. However, I think that your going to want to drive if your looking to do some shopping. They sell everything from a full grown trees to small flowers and everything in between. You can take an Uber from the city center, but that will cost you a pretty penny! The greenhouse is fantastic! It houses some of the most wonderful things inside. The cafe inside of it is also lovely. They serve a full vegetarian lunch buffet on weekdays for 155sek. The buffet's different dishes are always made from seasonal ingredients. They are also organic and locally grown as much as possible. I also like that you can schedule a delightful afternoon tea here on a Saturday or Sunday. They serve scones, pastries and sandwiches, all homemade (and mostly organic too.) You can choose between several different organic/fair trade teas to accompany your treats as well. Which, is all great! My favorite part of the day out here was a visit to the self-picking field and orchard! It was beautiful!!! A perfect vacation out of city life for the day! I thought the little hut with swinging daybeds for the occasional visitor to lounge on were exceptionally cute. You can't beat a day of cutting flowers, eating good food and lounging around. You have no idea what a luxury it is to pick your own bouquet of flowers out in the sunshine until you actually get to go out and do it! I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend a visit in August! Tip: Make sure to keep an eye on the their website for when the prime picking time is. I came back in a span of a few weeks between August and September and it was dramatically picked over towards the end. Note: The only real complaint I would have about this place is that the cafe's interior feels a little cramped, unimpressive and disconnected from the wonderful ambiance of the green house and self-picking fields. If they could find a way to clean it up and decorate it more luxuriously and thematically (even renovate or relocate to another structure with a lot of windows and outdoor space) I think it would improve the situation.
