Having an abscess my check had swelled, I had had a low grade fever and had chills previously as a result of the infection and was concerned for my health. The dental hygienist Star was kind, capable and reassuring to me regarding my fear of dental work. I also had the best dental cleaning at F.P.A. I was amazed at how beautiful my teeth looked and felt. This has been the first day that I can honestly say I feel no longer overwhelmed. My only issue was the heavy meds they prescribe as a matter of course. Another friend mentioned that too. I did not need the oxy pills and I never intended to take them, which I did not. The second time, I had gum grafting done. Again, during the surgery, Dr Di was very caring and professional. My follow up appointment was about six weeks later, and I still was having lots of discomfort and had another adjacent tooth that was numb. That was a very difficult appointment, not because of the doctor, but because of rough handling by the two assistants. I also have never regained normal feeling in the roof of my mouth (the donor tissue site), and it has now been over two years. I was told after the surgery it might take up to a year a year for the nerves to heal. I wish there had been more review of possible complications and negative potential outcomes before surgery. I don't recall seeing an informed consent form or discussing that with anyone on the team.

Dr. Miele was recommended to my wife to do a complex procedure that should have been quite painful, but my wife told me that Dr. Miele performed magic, as her procedure was painless and perfect. Dr. Miele sets the bar to the top as an incredibly warm, compassionate and extremely professional doctor. I think the warm and compassionate traits are somewhat rare in the medical field, my wife and I are truly lucky to have found Dr. Miele. Now, to my procedure, magic! Yep, that's about all I can say. It was the second to the back, top tooth, close to my sinus and tricky to extract without any complications. Dr. Miele, again, demonstrated warmth and compassion, while being a top doctor in her field. What a master Dr. Kaufman is.   Ably assisted by his very bright and cheerful associates, who explained everything to me as we went along, Dr. Kaufman removed the old cracked (but recalcitrant) tooth effectively and efficiently.   Then, he built up the area and later, after a rest of several months, implanted a metal post successfully.   Now, he has completed the job and readied the mouth for a new crown to be placed over that post. The pain has been minimum, but the results maximum. In addition, his office is on the side of the patients, operates with great ability, and actually argues for the rights of the patient with the insurance company. This is the state of  the art for periodontal work.   Any person with teeth should definitely go to Dr. Kaufman when it is time to schedule tooth repair or tooth replacement with an implant.  It is worth traveling many miles to obtain the services of Dr. Kaufman and his skilled associates.

I received inconsistent information and encountered dismissive communication from the office manager, Indrian, including being spoken to in a condescending tone, having my question dismissed rather than clarified, and having the call end abruptly. What should have been a straightforward request became unnecessarily complicated. Patients should be able to expect careful treatment, clear communication, and timely access to their own records.
