Great first appointment here after moving into the neighborhood. Professional staff, clean & inviting office, and very thorough cleaning! My only two gripes are the following: 1) I believe I filled out all the forms online before arriving, but those were somehow lost and I had to use their iPad to fill them out again. It took maybe 20 mins in total, and there's a lot of info to provide on your first visit. Maybe check on the online process to see what broke and why my info didn't come through? 2) I think someone may have called out sick that day on their staff, as it appeared that they were double booked throughout the AM. After being seated in the back, I had to wait 20-30 mins for a dental assistant to come back and do my cleaning. It was worth the wait as she did one of the best and most in-depth cleanings of my life, so please give her a raise! That being said, had I known ya'll were double booked in the AM, I might have come in a bit later than scheduled if I knew that morning of the pending delay. That being said, I'd say this place is most definitely where I'm going now that I live in the area. Hands down one of the best dentist offices I've ever been to! read more

I have been a patient at The Dental Group for over 3 years and unfortunately I can no longer recommend them after my most recent experience. They do not do well at supporting patients with sensory issues or dental anxiety, or conditions like TMJ that make dental visits difficult. With new patients they are kinder, but with every visit I have made they have become less supportive and less accommodating. My last cleaning was extremely unpleasant and I was shamed into not taking breaks over the course of multiple procedures and fittings even though holding my jaw open causes my TMJ to flare. Then there's the high-pressure upselling. For several years, the dentists and hygienists at this practice have been trying to get me to buy a dental-grade night guard out of pocket, even though I had an over-the-counter one I had been happy with. I finally agreed because they told me it would help my gums and that I would face severe consequences if I did not "make the investment." I had to pay $750 (!!!) out of pocket. When the night guard arrived, it was so bulky and uncomfortable that I could not get a good night's sleep in it and I woke in the morning with severe jaw pain on both sides of my jaw. I went back to have it adjusted and suddenly I was being told that having a night guard means sleeping with your mouth open and accepting dry mouth, that jaw pain often gets worse at first, and that I would have to accept some bad sleep in order to become accustomed to the night guard. I cannot stress enough that this was NOT disclosed to me prior to when I made the purchase. Since the practice knew about my sensory and dental anxiety issues, I feel strongly that they should have talked to me about what the night guard would be like before pushing me to buy it. When I explained the above, the practice offered me only a partial refund, which would mean that I spent hundreds of dollars on nothing. I feel my trust was taken advantage of and I would encourage others to look for a different practice. read more

Dr. Nathaniel Bullock is an AMAZING dentist. He's extremely knowledgeable and has the BEST demeanor. He's thorough and the consummate professional. I have followed him wherever he practices, even though I live a significant distance away. He's well worth the trip. Dr. Bullock receives FIVE STARS!!! You'll absorb love him!!! I have been coming here for years and all of the staff with whom I've come in contact, have been pleasant and helpful EXCEPT for BARBARA SHORTER BULLOCK...no relation. Not only is her tone demeaning, she had the gall to talk about my personal informational at the front desk, where other patients could hear. She's also thought it wise to argue with me. Barbara is a dark stain on this establishment and should be dealt with accordingly. Barbara is the ONLY reason for my rating being shy of five stars. read more

Not very well run or organized, and they are either terrible at keeping up with accurate billing or they purposely bill you for amounts already covered by insurance. Not sure if it's incompetence or malicious, but they repeatedly sent me bills for services either covered by my insurance or just completely made up amounts. Only when I inquired further did they say I actually didn't need to pay. I'd hate to think what happens to people who just pay when they get a bill and it says there will be a late fee if you don't pay. Not to mention sitting for ~20 minutes after my appointment time each time. Or having my 6-month appointment with no dentist present. Unable to reschedule an appointment even with multiple weeks notice. Cannot recommend this office to anyone read more

Place feels like a rip off. Did X-rays and exam but was never told if I had any cavities or not. Said I can schedule a consultation with a specialist to "see if I need any fillings or root canals". Mind you, you have to pay for that consultation and IF I do need those services then that consultation fee goes to my bill. What if I don't need those services? Then I'm out that $150 fee. That is a total scam. Not to mention, they didn't even clean my teeth!! read more

As a Client for a decade it's very disheartening to have to give this kind of feedback. Although I'm well aware that every service based business have certain policies in place, I was given false information when I needed to reschedule an appointment a few times. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THE RECEPTIONIST IF THERE WAS A RESCHEDULING FEE. I WAS TOLD NO! I came in today and was charge $200 WITH NO SERVICE RENDERED. Highly disappointed. I then went online on the website and there is no official policy listed. I asked in office to be shown where that policy was. I was told no one is available to speak to me about that and I would be "called back" at a later time. I think this is very poor customer service and I'll be finding another dentist moving forward. $200 with no service is insane as a hard working woman who doesn't have it to just GIVE AWAY because I was given FALSE information when asked MULTIPLE TIMES. I couldn't be more disappointed and will be taking further legal action. read more

The Dental Group is Amazing! Second to none. Two days before my daughter's wedding my tooth fell out and cracked in half. I called my dentist and got no answer. Called again and was told to come tomorrow the day before the wedding and they will see what they can done. I called the Dental Group and not only did they give me an appointment on the spot, but they were compassionate, caring and thoughtful. They were determined to find a solution to fix my tooth for the wedding. They did just that, in less than two hours I had my tooth back in my mouth as if it had never fell out. I have been going to the Dental group for 2 years. My experience has been great until today. The dental staff is amazing and knowledgeable about what they are doing. However, the account management staff are very questionable. I was charge for services I didn't received and when I inquired about that the office bitch "Danielle" had the nerve to have an attitude. Granted the charge was only $21, but its the principle of paying for something I didn't receive. To say I won't be returning is really sad because beside this issue, it's really a great office to go too. But I just can't go back because if it happened this time, who's to say it hasn't happened in the past and I just was paying attention. read more

The office is clean the front desk and dentists are very nice knowledgeable and friendly. The problem is scheduling. You try to make appointments especially for the pediatric side and they give you appts three four months later. If you have to change the appt or even cancel within a 24 hour time frame. You get charged a $50 fee per person. On the adult side there's never any problems with my spots or billing. On the pediatric side the scheduling person Elenora is not a people person. And she's never there or left early. So when you eventually get to her to change appts in a timely fashion. She will tell you that you are being charge the $50 fee. read more

I'm disappointed to say that the quality of service at this facility has gone way down, from the professionalism of the doctors and staff, to the quality of care, to the accuracy and efficiency of the billing processes. I have been very disappointed by my most recent experiences with The Dental Group. There is way too much to type here, but I have changed dental providers and learned some of the procedures I've had done here were not performed correctly (complete with photos as well as xrays) and need to be redone. This means an additional investment of countless hours and thousands of dollars for me. Don't be fooled by all of the smiling faces, the quality of care is what matters most. I thought that I was receiving quality care here, but my most recent dental photos and xrays, not to mention the root canal I just had, say it all. Glad I took my business elsewhere. read more

I came here for the first time to take care of a loose filling. The experience felt like I was being handed from one salesperson to another. Instead of earning my trust and dealing with the problem at hand, they tried to upsell me immediately on both orthodontics and teeth whitening. (No, I'm not from England). While those are things I would consider, it felt like all they cared about was scheduling me for the highest cost treatment possible. Additionally, I told them I was self-employed at the time and did not want to do anything drastic. That fell on deaf ears. The last salesperson I met with said I needed a filling replacement and they recommended a crown. It would be $950 and they wanted to do it that day. He seemed offended when I said no- like it would affect his timeshare quota. At that point, I didn't trust anything they said. I left after being passed off to the billing people and charged $150 for one x-ray. Go somewhere else unless you like used car salespeople in your mouth. read more

This is the BEST dental office. I've been going here since I was younger. The staff makes you feel so welcome. Dr. D and Dr. K are absolutely amazing and are so kind. Dr. Hagan and his team were so patient with me when I was dying to get my braces off. Dr. Hagan gave me perfect teeth and I can't thank him enough for that, he's also so personable and makes you feel comfortable. And Lynn! When I visited the Dental Group for the first time; I knew that this was going to be a special place. They genuinely care about every patient. I had to have a filling done - this was first time since I was a kid. Dr. D and his team were great! I was nervous because I remember what get a filling was like as a kid. It was nothing like that - so much easier and Dr. D talked me through the whole procedure so I knew what was going on. They are also great with kids - my boys have been coming here for years. We have had repeated horrible experiences with this office. While the staff overall were kind and attentive, we had one dentist tell my husband "there's no way he's flossing daily" and that I just wasn't paying attention to him because he grew up in a country where dental hygiene isn't a focus. I paid $1200 to have two crowns put on, and it took them SIX visits (and over six weeks) to match the color of my teeth-- while it was the best option, it still doesn't match my teeth. And there's a dark line at the top of the tooth, which is very unattractive. I asked about this, and I was told that it was bruised tissue that would heal. It's been nearly 3 years, and it hasn't gone away; I believe it's cement. My husband also got a crown at the same time. Their financial person ran the procedure through our insurance and gave us an estimate. After the procedure was done, we were told that they actually called our insurance for the first time (they hadn't before), and our insurance didn't cover it, so we'd have to pay $1200 for the crown instead of the $600 we were quoted. Very dishonest. We have refused to return. read more

I really love my dentist who I've been going to for longer than I can remember. I love the early appointment times (7:00am) and the super friendly people who work here. They also have lots of cool perks like a phone charging station, a very relaxing fish tank and very short wait times. There are two downsides to The Dental Group: -- they have a habit of upselling you on various procedures and "appliances" as they're called (like night guards) and -- their billing practices get under my skin. If they get the right insurance company (which is no sure thing), it seems to take forever and in the meantime they are sending me bills and tacking on finance charges for "late payment". Sometimes they get the insurance company wrong and then have to resubmit. The bottom line is it may take months and months to get everything straightened out and in the meantime I keep getting bills. Other than that, the people who actually work on your teeth are great and do a wonderful job. The dentist I go to is thorough and goes out of his way to make everything as painless as possible. I've been a patient of "Dr. D" (DiGregorio) at TDG for several years now and have found seeing Dr. D and his staff to be the best dental experience I've ever had. I go for twice-annual cleanings, but have also had a cavity filled and an old root canal re-done. The service is excellent and virtually pain-free. Dr. D's touch with the novocaine shot is gentle, and his manner is very calming. TDG has all the latest technology. This makes it pricer than at some other places, but it eliminates waiting -- for example, they made the crown for my root canal right on the spot, with some robotic arms that hold and shape a cube of porcelain. (That was pretty cool). Their hygienist, Marcia, is very fastidious, and I always come out feeling like I have the World's Cleanest Teeth. Nobody *likes* going to the dentist, but I can honestly say that I don't mind seeing these folks! I highly recommend this practice. Also they are conveniently located for the Maryland 'burbs, at the intersection of Route 1 (Baltimore Rd.) and 410 (East-West Hwy). read more

I went in last year to get a cavity filled and ended up today with an abscess in my face, swelling, constant pain, and a permanent crown that these dentists had their DENTAL ASSISTANT place. After I had my crown placed, I have been bleeding from the tooth ever since and they say they don't know why. I had to go to urgent care to get antibiotics and pain medication. After my first adjustment of my tooth, I went back and they said that I don't need another adjustment I will " be in pain for close to 2 years...just use sensitive toothpaste" he said. I told him I felt a ledge with my tongue on my tooth. He said that it wasn't there and that his "instruments are more accurate". I requested another dentist that did about 4 adjustments on the tooth at different times but still it didn't help. I asked them to refund what I paid out of pocket today and they were trying to give a partial refund in exchange for me not pressing charges. I refused to sign it.The office manager is very unprofessional! I was suppose to talk to her after her break and when I called back, she told them to tell me she wasn't taking calls anymore that day and to call back the next day. I've been going here since I was a little kid and I am now 27. My issue is they have 1 doctor who can perform oral surgeries and he is a chronic canceller. I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth pulled today and he cancelled on me same day 2 hours before my procedure after taking off of work for this procedure to be done. This is his second time cancelling and rescheduling my appointment and at this point he needs to be replaced because the vibe I got from the receptionist is that this is something he does all the time. read more

I LOVE this practice. Dr. D, especially. Dr. DiGregorio is amazing. He is simply the nicest person and has the best chairside manner. I'd recommend him to anyone, but ESPECIALLY to people who have any sort of tough time with dentists, whether you're hard to numb, have a gag reflex from hell, anxiety, or simple skepticism of dentistry (thankfully I'm not assailed by all of the above, but I have reliable references confirm for the ones I lack). He respects and listens to his patients and really gives us great choices. He will do sedation dentistry, which is what I thought I'd need after my former dentist gave up on me, but I haven't even had to go that route with Dr. D. The entire practice is great, the support staff are lovely. The dental hygienist is actually a dentist herself. My entire family comes here. My toddler loves the birds and fish in the waiting area. read more

This review is for the new pediatric dentist, Dr. Darden. She is amazzzzzzing and patient with young children. I have to admit, I waited really late to finally get my children to the dentist, so my 5 year old had a cavity that was infected and had to be pulled. Dr. Darden was so patient and gentle (as much as she could be under the pulling circumstances) and sang to my daughter to help calm her. Both her and her staff held my daughters hand and rubbed her arm and they allowed me to stay on the chair with her You can tell she's genuine and very sweet with the way she talks to the children and the parents. I was debating between those fancy themed pediatric dentists and this regular dentist environment, and I decided to go with TDG mainly due to them having Saturday and evening hours which is so convenient for me and my children so that we are able to carry on our regular schedule. In addition, the location is very convenient for me. From a child's perspective, they have a big fish tank with lots of fish and even a built in bird car with tons of birds, which my children think is pretty cool. There is also a small children's section where they are showing cartoons, I've only seen Disney Jr on, which is ok with me since my girls watch that channel. At the chair when you are finally called back, they do have a Tv hooked on the chair with a movie playing so the kids can watch as they wait. All in all, the facility does it's job, but the doctor is the reason I give this 5 stars. We love some Dr. Darden!!! read more

I like it here, they have every kind of oral doctor. The people are fun and easy to talk to. My Dr is pretty hot lol and I like the fact that it's right next to Mc Donald's. Down side, I feel it's slightly more expensive then most places. But I keep coming because they do such a great job. read more

This is the worst dentist office i've ever been too. If you have the opportunity to take your business elsewhere, please do. I don't know how their practice has so many positive reviews because i've only had unsatisfactory experiences in the last four years i've gone there. I wish i could change my office but i am just to fat into the process that it's impossible. This office is extremely unprofessional and you have to bug and badger them for an appointment. It takes them four years to do a job that takes regular orthodontists less than two. If you want to have your teeth messed up, have people talk behind your back about you, have people pull and stab at your jaw harshly, and all together be dissatisfied when your leave, then this is most certainly the place for you! read more

ZERO STARS! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! They told me they accepted my MetLife insurance. I found out $1492 later that they charge out of network fees. When you look them up on the MetLife website, there is a small clause that states "This provider may participate with MetLife through an agreement that MetLife has with a vendor. Providers available through a vendor are subject to the vendor's credentialing process and requirements, not MetLife's. If you should have any questions, contact MetLife Customer Service." This means they can charge you out of network costs. Due to the out of network price they charge, I went over my $1750 limit on MetLife and had to pay not only the 40% copay, but another $1492. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! The dentists are not board certified either. read more

I had a cavity filling here and my tooth has been quite sensitive and hurting ever since. Will need to get it fixed (somewhere else obviously). My wife got crown fixed by the same dentist and she drilled down to a nerve. My wife ended up having to get a root canal. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

I have been coming here for a few years now and the entire team is really awesome! They're all super patient and provide you much insight!! I love this place. I have an upcoming appointment in the next two wks and I plan to bring Panera for my appreciation. I'd recommend anyone to receive amazing dental service here. Good office, great honest staffs and dentists. I am a single parent of 3 kids, and i really appreciate their honesty. Unlike other dentistry that we've been to, they dont make recommendations and exaggerated treatment plans just to make money. The staffs were very nice, courteous and patient in explaining what my insurance pays and which ones are not covered. The kids' dentist was very honest and super nice in explaining to me what really needs to be done and which ones i dont need to spend money on because they were baby teeth and will come off soon. Coming from bad experiences with the kids' dentists, this really makes a big difference! Highly recommended!
