I'm still on my journey with Frederick Periodontal Associates (F.P.A)...and I am Still having the BEST experience ever thanks to Dr. Synder! I am beyond amazed at the positive experience I just had this morning. If you need a dental implant and are afraid of the process, a dental tooth extraction, don't be! I was until this morning. The novocaine injections painless at the skilled hands of Dr. Synder! The tooth extraction, in my case, was removed before I even knew it...within a minute or so, for me, this was nothing short of, MIRACULOUS! Forget the adage, 'no pain no gain'! At F.P.A. for me, it's been "NO PAIN, JUST GREAT PERIODONTAL GAIN!" Thank you so very much for the positive and blessed experience at your office Dr. Synder, assistant, and staff! I am still on my journey at F.P.A. however after today I have a deeper understanding from this mornings experience at how brilliantly skilled, and yet how compassionate and understanding Dr. Synder is. Thank you! There are not enough stars again to provide a proper rating with my experiences at F.P.A with Dr. Synder. Previously: At Frederick Periodontal Associates, I have had the BEST experienced ever for dental and periodontal consultation and care! The office staff is friendly, helpful and exceptionally competent and 'compassionate'! I was treated as if I was a member of thier family, or a close friend. I felt that I actually matter, and was not a number or a dollar sign! I called myself in as an emergency and though I had never been to this practice prior, the practice stayed open to make sure I was seen by the doctor. I also wasn't billed as an emergency patient, that is the definition in action of, The Good Samaritan! Dental, endodontic and periodontal procedures can be quite intimating and downright fearful for many people, myself being one of these people. Upon meeting Dr. Snyder I could feel myself start to relax, which I didn't think I could as I was told by a dentist that I had very real and serious concerns that involves, dental and endodontics. All the procedures I was told I needed performed, NOW, leaving me feeling overwhelmed, the shock hadn't even wore off yet. Having an abscess my check had swelled, I had had a low grade fever and had chills previously as a result of the infection and was concerned for my health. Upon meeting Dr. Snyder, his manner and approach had a positive effect melting away my fears, I was able to start relaxing and could breathe again and felt hopeful! I found out too that I did not need everything performed as I had been previously told I did, and there was NO pressure. Dr. Snyder wrote out a prescription for me too, to address the infection. I am now feeling like me again, healthy and not going to die of sepsis. Upon my next appointment, I had a Maintenance cleaning. The dental hygienist Star was kind, capable and reassuring to me regarding my fear of dental work. I also had the best dental cleaning at F.P.A. I was amazed at how beautiful my teeth looked and felt. This has been the first day that I can honestly say I feel no longer overwhelmed. There are not enough stars that honestly reflect the care they provide. Dr. Snyder, his wife Kathy (who is the practice manager and the brilliant designer of F.P.A's state of the arts practice,) and thier team are the most positive, caring, knowledgeable, kind and gentle health care providers I have ever encountered! Dr. Snyder and his entire team have been exceptional. It is rare to find the combination of skill, compassion, and empathy that was shown by each and every person in Dr. Snyders office. I was referred to Dr. Snyder by my primary dentist for an extraction and an implant. Despite being very anxious Dr. Snyder and his team assured me the procedure would be done with great care. The end result was virtually no pain or discomfort after the procedure with Dr. Snyder following up that evening to assure that all was well. From the moment I called the office and talked to Dee Dee I knew this office was going to be unbelievable. Dee Dee was so professional and helpful in setting up my appointment makinG sure she got my xrays from the general dentist so I wouldn't have to pay again for the same thing. The girl at the front desk was so friendly and made me feel like I was part of the family right away. Another great experience with AIP. I had a simple cleaning after the major scaling last time. It was followed up with a consultation that laid out my future procedures including costs and what to expect after. I got the good news that my gums won't need surgery. I'm set up for four implants and two crowns. It's a time-consuming process. They were able to make an appointment with a dentist to expedite the process advancing the timeline by a month. I have had nothing but good experiences with the entire staff at AIP. I would recommend them to anyone who needs extensive dental care. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!......I typically dont review anything unless I believe it is worth talking about. That being said I used to say that I wasn't the biggest fan of visiting any dental facility either because of nightmare previous visits at other locations but this place completely changed the way I perceive getting dental work done. Dr. Snyder and his AMAZING CREW are so professional, caring and laid back (in a good way!) That it doesnt even feel like you are there to receive treatment. Great people and conversation. I'm very impressed and not at all surprised that Dr. Hal's expertise is recognized by his peers, and that he serves/ has served as President of the Frederick County Dental Association. The office space here is beautiful, "spa-like" in fact and unparalleled in the medical community. Dr. Hal Snyder and office manager Kathy Snyder are clearly concerned with not only providing the best health care available to you and your family, but are also working very hard at ensuring your complete experience is relaxing and stress free. After a nightmarish experience with my last dental office... for which I wrote a review that should be 100 percent disregarded... I came upon Frederick periodontal Associates and I can't say enough good things. The office is immaculate and so perfectly decorated... you feel like you entered a swanky spa, not a dental office. The exam rooms also comfortable and equipped with modern equipment even have flat screens for your viewing pleasure while you're being worked on. The Staff is amazing as well. Katie, the hero that handles insurance and such, was so helpful, kind and PATIENT... even with my billion questions And frustration. Dea, who did my X-rays was thorough and quick and a pleasure as well. Kathy, im assuming the office manger, was super as well. Always checking in on our level of comfort, providing clear and responsible answers for every question I could come up with from teeth, to X-rays ,to insurance, to possible mal practice situations... to where they found their amazing decor...she knew it all. While simultaneously being entertaining and offering me a snack to maintain my blood-sugars (guess she really pays attention because she knew I was diabetic ). Dr. Snyder was knowledgeable and thorough. He went over my X-rays in great detail making sure I understood the reasoning for his decisions. He was patient and kind too... it just seems to be a job requirement in this office. Dr. Snyder ended up referring me to a specialist, who Kathy confirmed was wonderful, and sure enough... they were right about the specialist. It was everything they said it would be. It's hard to find trustworthy, reliable, and truly knowledgeable people... even in professional settings. This office is full of them. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend and from now on, will be using them as much as possible even for basic dental needs such as my yearly cleanings. read more

This practice is just simply awesome! The waiting room is tastefully done - if you need to wait at all. They offered me the use of an iPad while I waited but I didn't even have to wait for more than two minutes. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I have always been seen on time in my five visits to this practice. Dr Snyder took time and explained all of the proceedures I needed in a language I could understand. I felt he was genuinely concerned for my dental well-being. I even watched a relaxing film on the ceiling while my surgery was being performed! I had three cleanings done here. Every hygienist that performed a cleaning was highly motivated, gentle, extremely thorough and knowledgable. The only thing I didn't like was the white chocolate flavored tooth polish, but I guess some people like that... All in all this practice sets the standard and I very highly recommend it! read more
