When I opened my small business account at this location I was told that the basic business accounts had no minimum balance requirement and would not be charged a service charge each month as long as I signed up for online banking and opted for online only statements. However, since I opened my small business account I discovered that they've been charging me a service fee every single month since I opened the account when they aren't supposed to be charging me one. I guess it's time to finally take and pull all of the accounts that I have with them and take them to WECU which doesn't play the constant games that they play with small business owners, especially ones that have been long term members!

The interest rate would be changed at that time to the new market value. We received the form letter reminding us of this and letting us know when our term matured. We chose not to make any changes figuring a competitive market rate would still be offered. I happened to check yesterday. The 4-5 month CD is at 4.88%. Our now 6 month CD is at .15%! Yes! Almost nothing and less than our savings accounts making 1.24%. We did not receive any notice that a change this extreme was in the works. We are closing out the CD today and reinvesting. This is not a reflection on the Barkley staff, but rather on the management of the bank and their lack of communication to support their customers in making vital decisions to protect their well being.

Chase has banks in 26 states and is one of the "big four" banks that handle millions of peoples' banking needs. As I mentioned, I have never had an issue at this Chase in particular and can imagine that since it's in Bellingham that it's likely staffed by people who are local and may have even grown up or spent their entire lives living in the state of WA. So maybe, if you have a problem with someone who told you the time frame it would take to open a credit card with them in a fashion you were upset with, you should blame it on that person (who is almost 100% going to be a Washingtonian) and not somehow randomly talk about CA. This was not done and as a result my savings account was overdrawn, pullin money for my loan payments.
