US Bank is not a good bank. I used to like them, but now I don't. Here's why:…read more A man - a very bad man - assumed my identity and racked up $38,000 in my name through US Bank. I found this out when US Bank called me one day and said, "You owe us thousands of dollars. Pay now or we report you." I explained that I had no idea what they were talking about. They weren't helpful at all. After some investigation, I found out what happened and started legal proceedings against the person who perpetrated this fraud. US Bank still doesn't care. They have reported me to all three credit bureaus. My once-perfect credit score has dropped dramatically. They call every other day. I tell them the story: "This money was stolen from me. It was fraud. I have spent thousands in legal fees trying to prosecute the guy." They say, "Not our problem. Pay now. Or else." They are greedy and heartless people. Once I am able to transfer my stuff out of their bank, I will never go back. And I will let everyone know that even though they tout that their accounts are covered by "Fraud Protection" it only means that they will decide which party is more apt to pay, and approve a case based on those facts. They decided that the thief would be too hard to prosecute. And since they already have me on the line, they will try to get the money from me. Yeah, I have $38,000 just lying around. Shame on you, US Bank. And shame on you, thief who stole my money (I cannot name his name due to pending legal proceedings ... but I will when it's all over).

I just opened my account and my direct deposits hadn't kicked in yet. Today, they added an additional 25.00 fee for continuing to be overdrawn (2 days.) I'll be moving back to STCU and staying there!!

I was in constant contact with Kevin at STCU because I was advised by my legal team not to make the payments. Then I found out that Kevin was trying to auction off my house (during COVID). I paid the arrears, thousands in legal fees and late fees. Fast forward two years, I've been on autopay for my mortgage payment for the current amount due each month. Recently, our mortgage payment increased by $13.26 per month (property taxes). STUC didn't process the last payment for the current amount so it left a $13.26 balance. They charged us an $87 late fee because their system didn't pickup the change in the monthly mortgage amount. Frankly, this should be illegal. I called them, they argued with me. Finally, they let me use my once in a lifetime late payment waiver. As soon as interest rates come down I will leave this bank. I am also going to contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to make a complaint. The home Loan department is the worst for it's customer service and taking advantage of its customers.

This branch is one of the worst I've seen, with extremely rude employees (Cameron Rose among others) who don't provide any solutions and rather are trying to rush you thru as quickly as possible. I tried to call ahead, but like every BOA, they never answered. So I just showed up. When I asked if there was a better way to ask questions, Cameron, who had a f-u attitude, tried to prove to me I didn't call ahead. Instead of looking for an email address to provide me, he started trying to disprove my story, claiming that they always answered the phone. When I showed Cameron the call log on my phone, he fell silent, but still refused to provide any emails, since he claimed that employees can't receive emails from outside sources. When I pointed out that I'd seen emails on BOA business cards before, he changed his story and said some employees can receive emails--just not the people at his branch. It was a pointless conversation that went in circles. Cameron was so eager to get confrontational it was surprising. Why anyone chooses to live with that sort of stressful approach to life is beyond me. Cameron, I truly believe, is just a product of BOA and their policies, but for someone who is a middle aged man working as an entry level employee at a bank, you'd hope they would have learned how to treat customers with some dignity and respect.
