Upon arrival, Claire and my makeup artist (Ariel) went over my preferences, and I cannot praise Ariel enough; my hair and makeup were absolutely flawless! Claire will talk with you about the process, which made me feel more comfortable, then she'll go through the outfits to see what would work best for the shoot, and set up your wardrobe in a private room. Claire and Ariel will check your outfits and jewelry to make sure you look flawless, and your shoot begins. Don't worry about posing; Claire has a ton of poses for you and guides you on how to hit your marks. My time with them was so much fun, exciting, comfortable, and empowering. When the shoot is done, you'll have a break, so make sure to bring lunch! During this time, Claire is setting up your photos for the selection process. Again, there is no pressure to pick or discard photos from your gallery. The hardest part is declining photos because her photography is gorgeous! I couldn't believe how incredible these photos looked, and that takes a lot for me to say about myself; I have never felt so confident about my looks until seeing these photos. After the selection process, I always received an email when my prints or artwork were being shipped to me, again continuing her fantastic communication process. BEWARE OF SCAM. If I could give 0 stars, I would, as Claire is extremely unprofessional. Applied to a giveaway and "won," but was required to schedule a phone call to discuss. When I needed to reschedule the call because I would be on a last-minute flight for a family emergency, Claire was extremely rude and very persistent that I needed to opt in for promotional texts. I found this suspicious but went ahead and rescheduled anyway, explaining that I do not receive short form texts on my cell and asking if we could communicate over email. The answer was no, and I began to question the grammar and punctuation in the emails, as it was extremely unprofessional and inconsistent. When my emergency turned into a death in the family, I promptly wrote her back requesting to cancel. Her responding email was absolutely abhorrent and I am shocked she gets any business if this is how she speaks to customers. Edit for clarity to owner's response: the email correspondence attached is the only communication I received from Claire. I received no additional messages, no calls, and no texts. "Repeated communication issues" (as stated in her response to this review) seems to be a stretch, as the time stamped emails can attest. To potential customers: I caution against working with someone who promotes empowering women yet seems to lack both empathy and professionalism. If this is how this owner chooses to conduct herself with a potential client (who was ready to pay to hefty photo package price, by the way) I shudder to think about the energy created in the studio. read more
