If it was, I would NEVER thrift again! This place is a claustrophobic nightmare! First, you walk up a flight of stairs. According to previous posts, it's supposed to be different booths but I feel there is no way to discern that. I felt if I bent down I would break something or push something over and have a domino effect. It was just junk; rusted tools & stuff most people put in the trash. Could you find a gem? As per their Facebook page they are described as the owner had a dream to purchase property, have her own store, and provide affordable housing to women in need. This store is considered for profit, however she states that she uses the funds to renovate the upstairs apartments in hope to help women escape bad relationships by providing affordable housing options. I support her vision. I was lucky enough to visit the store a few weeks before Christmas when the parking meters were covered. Normally there's a fee for street parking however I'm not sure if it's because of the season or covid that street parking was free. It's a bit hard to secure downtown and difficult to back out of since the spots are slanted but not impossible. Inside the store has an overwhelming amount of stuff. Not quite hoarder level but there's alot to take in. The property is a series of small rooms, you walk thru one to get to another, with lots of nooks and crannies. It is a challenging space to set up for retail and she does what she can to make it organized. It is hard to walk thru some areas and definitely leave the stroller and big handbag at home! Some areas have nice displays and she does have a good eye for showcasing more precious items. Overall there's every department that a larger thrift store would have, just separated a bit. What surprised me was everything was yard sale prices - like .50 cents and a $1! While some of the clothing items were dated I did find some nice kids pieces that I couldn't leave without for .50 apiece! Many of the house and glasswear pieces were vintage and still priced at yard sale prices. I honestly don't know how she makes any money. On the porch was a free clothing pile which I didn't investigate. The owner was very friendly and let you walk around and explore on your own without being intrusive, but was available to help if you needed her. They are cash only so be sure to bring some and definitely allow yourself some time as this is not an in and out kind of shop. Worth adding to my thrifting rotation whenever parking is available.

Despite finding very reasonably priced pieces for my home and a potential gift item for my collector husband, the shipping charges equaled the subtotal of my cart. Too rich for my blood. Their "sister" store is a few miles down route 23 on the opposite side of the street. The clerk at this location told me go there for the items I was searching for. After being at both locations and reading Cindy's review and viewing her pictures I think her review is for the other store; Lucky Dog thrift. This store, although run down, cluttered, and more of a co-op is not organized but is better than the pictures depict. A few parking spots line the side of the building, which is run down. An abandoned store is next door. Although items weren't as jam packed and cluttered as the pictures it wasn't the greatest as far as organization. Isles (if that's what you want to call it) are narrow and maybe booths representing different vendors although not outlined as such. Fragile items and glassware are in abundance so do be very aware of your large handbag. I wouldn't even think to take a child in here. Overall the place is dusty and musty. Prices are very low, like yard sale prices. There's a table of jewelry for $2 each or 3 for $5 that are worth a look. Vintage and current pieces alike are in that pile. Most of the inventory is vintage (like 70-90's) and nick knacks. I was able to find two porcelain unicorn figures for my granddaughter that I purchased for $1 apiece. It was extremely cold in there, to the point that you could see your breath, and the clerk had on her coat so I assume the building is not heated. The elderly clerk was very, very friendly and engaged in conversation with other customers. I was surprised that I wasn't charged tax. When I inquired she said they didn't have a "tax account" so they didn't collect it. I probably shouldn't be advertising this but that was her response. The store looked and felt like it was there forever so I doubt they opened recently and assume they've been selling like that for some time. I hesitate to call this thrift because clearly it's a co-op/junk store. You won't find clothes or toys unless they're from the 70-90's and what I did see had condition issues. If you're into knick knacks and glassware and enjoy rummaging through inventory this is your spot. For me it was a miss and I wouldn't make a return visit.
