No one should be angry selling weed. My favorite neighborhood spot for some good tree at a reasonable price is breaking my heart. As a frequent flyer, at many locations, I love the consistency in the vibe we've grown to expect from our fav bud tenders, but unfortunately White Center is missing the mark...Lou will be the primary reason I stop shopping Ike's period. I can deal with an impatient bud tender right before closing, or inventory issues as I prefer pre orders...but Lou's attitude and blatant racism is the same reason why they no longer work at your Belltown competitor. I don't necessarily think this place deserves 1 star so I will give it 2.. however this isn't the first time I've come into this shop and it probably will have been my last. First time, I wasn't the one smoking so I just tagged along for funsies however, the two others I was with did not have the most friendly or sociable interaction with the budtenders. They were kind of cold, almost hostile, and not suggestive at all. Second time around, you can guess exactly what happened... Only this time around, I came by myself and one of the female budtenders kept eyeing me suspiciously and I thought, "what could I possibly look like for her to look at me that way?" Oh wait... I just thought of something but I won't say in public in case it is the wrong assumption. Anywho, lo and behold she ended up being the one to help me and I am not really knowledgable on marijuana and was hoping for some expert suggestions and opinions on what I'm looking for. Right off the bat, I showed her an image of what my roommate said he bought here last time but later on I found out it was actually the shop across the street but regardless the female behind the counter looked at me dirty and was like, "we don't carry that brand" and I immediately felt uncomfortable being in there but I didn't want to leave empty-handed. So I tried to describe to her what type of feels I was going for and she kind of looked at me funny again and then was like I'll bring you some suggestions. At this point, I'm so uncomfortable to where I wonder if she's just going to try and sell me the most expensive ones or something... I chose 2 of 3 she recommended and when I smoked one of them, it was the feels I didn't want and the other wasn't even an indica... my roommate confirmed it was sativa when I asked for indica? I tried to make this trip quick and get out of there as soon as possible because who would have thought I would feel this uncomfortable in a shop? P.S. I'm not a total stoner or anything like that, my sister was in town and I happened to smoke with her and the next day found out my psoriasis which has not been clearing for the past 6+ months no matter what I ate or didn't, smoking actually helped??? Unexpected results now led me to smoke every night and it's almost gone! Woohoo! P.P.S. the lines waiting outside in the cold suck... I had to wait almost 30 minutes to get in and I don't know what the wait times are like pre-COVID but... it sucks. I ended up giving away that weed and went across the street with no wait, friendly security, and a super nice budtender. First and last time going to this shop. I'm a medical marijuana patient and I was charged the same as a recreational user. They did not accept my authorization to get the medical patient discount as established by the state of Washington under RCW 69.51A. They say that if they have flower already discounted they give no medical patient discount. My go to dispensary let's me use my loyalty points for 35% off and my medical discount. Seems they're saying it's discounted to get around the Medical Patient discount. Also the flower I got was not completely sealed with the control board sticker. Seemed lighter than 3.5 grams. This is a shady business and I wonder what the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Control Board might think of this? I only went to this place because it was convenient while I was I. The area. This is hands down one of the worst decisions I've ever made and I wish I had more information on this product ahead of time before I purchased and consumed a bit! Taste like a tobacco vape and if your into that it's for you. Me personally I prefer the Og or Mints / animal mints sherb etc terps the experience of smoking a good quality cartridge! Why just ok? The face of your company, the first thing you see walking in the door, is "Security". Rude, smart a**es, are all descriptors I do not like. Yeah, the area is not great... I get that, but Unkle Ike's first impression is lacking. Attitude is "NOT" security, security is calmness, politeness and then "wham IF you need too"..... Zero excuses allowed on that matter.
