I'm in Minot, North Dakota. Like, I Minot want to be here. Lol. Actually, it's a small town of about 50,000 people. There seems to be a lot of local places here. I ordered a 16" "The Max" pizza with tomato basil sauce, pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The sauce is not overwhelming the pizza and is not tart. In fact, it could use just a little more. The mozzarella cheese was stringy when you picked it up. My only complaint was that the center of pizza does not hold its shape when you pick it up. I ordered it as take out. They put wax paper between the pizza and the box which really helps the cardboard flavor of the box from seeping into the pizza. Overall, not bad. I would go here again and order a smaller size. Don't order when you're hungry. At least I'll actually eat these leftovers! read more

Vegan friendly pizza! You don't know how excited I was to find vegan options in North Dakota! I ordered a 10" pie with a bunch of veggies and Daiya cheese. I really liked that you could add five toppings at no extra charge and vegan cheese wasn't extra either! I went with the whole wheat crust, which was vegan. I wish the menus were a bit more specific with what's vegan, but I did some digging and found the answers. The following are vegan: Daiya cheese, whole wheat dough, gluten free dough, Tomato Basil sauce, Garlic Olive Oil, Zesty BBQ sauce, Spicy Buffalo sauce, Balsamic Vinaigrette, all fresh veggies, Grilled Tofu, Black Bean Corn Salsa, walnuts and fresh herbs. (As of January 2022) The only other suggestion I have besides listing vegan options on the menu, would be to add 1 or 2 vegan appetizers and maybe a faux meat topping for the pizza, other than tofu. I would give this place a five for many reasons. The pizza comes to your table hot right out of the oven. They make it like some sandwich shops. You can order a regular or custom pizza. Come on lady, you have like 8 pizzas on the menu. You couldn't figure out what I meant? But then the real tragedy....NO CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES. What? How do you run out of chocolate chip dough mix? Pretty good pizza. We got the classic Margherita because I love having fresh tomatoes and basil on a pizza. Though, the Margherita comes with an olive oil base instead of tomato sauce. It's a bit pricey, but it was definitely some good pizza. Along with the pizza, we ordered barbecue and medium heat chicken wings. Those were meh. Not much flavor and too saucy (and I actually like saucy wings). I actually just knocked this review from 4 to 3 stars after remembering the wings. Here I'm giving a 5 as I wanted to try again making sure the first time wasn't just because I was starving from a world journey spanning the galaxy and craving a mouth watering pizza I kept smelling from outside. This time I sat down, grabbed a pop or soda depending whose reading this. Very relaxing. Now the cooking style is very similar to a joint I once visited that was 30 minutes plus by train in Old South Korea in Ansan. Very lovely taste, great portions too, enough to make you feel satisfied or why not get one more for the journey. Again in another time I tasted these similar flavors was in Misawa Japan, outside the gate. Now all these worldly travels has come full circle, and here we are. The mystical taste is here. This place is reminiscent of the Pieology chain, which is basically the Subway of Pizzas. Lots of parking. Went during lunch time and there was only a few people there so we were in/out quickly. We got medium-sized pizzas. Depending on how hungry you are and how many toppings you get, a medium pizza could feed two people or one very hungry person. It's thin crust so it's not as filling (which is fine with me, I love thin crust!). They also have wings (Buffalo or BBQ) which were good as well. The boy that made our pizzas was obviously very new to the job, but he did good and kept his composure when the pizza dough wasn't cooperating with him, haha. This place was nearby so we headed over. Atmosphere - Another walk your food down the line as they build it for you. Relatively new place and very clean. You can see the kitchen and it is spotless. Food Drinks - They give you a plastic cup and you can select your pop. I had a Coke from the pop machine. Food - I had the lunch special, $8.99. You get a six inch pizza, yeah pretty small, a salad, and a fountain drink. The salads came out rather quickly; I had the Caesar salad, pretty good size for a side salad. Nothing special but the lettuce was fresh, but no croutons. The dressing was in a cup so you can decide how much you want on your iceberg lettuce. The pizza comes with a choice of 3 toppings, even though the cheese is listened at a topping it does not count. I end up with just two toppings; pepperoni and the spice sausage. The pizza is tiny, actually one slice was bite size. The dough is hand tossed so it was not too thick and not too thin, which I really liked. Service - Clearly the trend in fast food restaurants, move down the line and they build your item. Here the cook asks you what type of sauce, cheese and toppings. They do have wheat dough and a gluten free dough. After the cook you move to person the puts your order in the computer, and then to the payment station which takes care of drinks and desserts. Tried this joint for lunch. I had the lunch special which was a 6 inch pizza, salad and pop for 8.99. I had the Greek salad, mushroom & black olive pizza and pop. The salad was great. It was full of tomato, black olive, pepperoncini and feta. The pizza was good. I really liked the sauce and it was loaded with mushrooms. Our family has been going to Uncle Maddio's since it opened and have enjoyed our experience there until tonight. A gentleman went in seconds before we did. We walked in as one of Maddio's employees told the guy she rather he wasn't there .... It was 6 minutes until close but that is not friendly customer service just plain rude. He walked out and we stayed to place our orders. Wow was this girl not happy!! She made sure we knew it by banging things around and slamming doors. She had a complete lack of care that we choose to spend our money there. She acted very immature and made us feel very unwelcome. I wish her the best. I think the restaurant needs to go over their reward program. I walked in with a free pizza reward. I ordered a $7.99 pizza, along with an additional pizza. I told them we wanted water. She tells me a drink is included. I get only $6.21 reduced from my ticket. I'm told it's because it is Maddie Monday (so!) and I got credit for pizza but not the (included) drink.
