what an amazing little store just on the border of illinois and indiana tmy experience was great from the moment i called to the last second of my purchase! I called in prior to going in as i was coming from illinois and its memorial day the response i got was jaw dropping! they told me they were going to be open until 8 but if i needed to come a little later they would wait for me!WOW! when i arrived my son and i looked around and for a little bit before finding an associate we let them know we were on a budget and they helped us find what we were looking for! and even supplied my & year old son with a few gifts after our transaction was over they even carried our purchase to the car mind you this it was only a paper bags worth of stuff and put it in my trunk for me!THank you guys so much i will deffinately recomend you to all my family and friends! I have nothing but good things to say about Uncle Sam Fireworks. When I visited their store a couple weeks ago I was very impressed. From the moment I walked in the door their customer service was top notch. They greeted me and helped me in my selection process. Speaking of their selection, it is absolutely huge, the largest that I have personally ever seen. I have shopped around and I know for a fact that their prices are the lowest, especially when you factor in the quality of their products. I am highly recommending Uncle Sam Fireworks for their great customer service, huge selection and low prices. It is easy for me to see why they have been in business for so long. I was in Chicago for the 4 of july and we found this place and thought we should give it a try. Best thing about this store is you can find it from a mile away BIG SIGN lol that says fire works.... well we went inside the firework store and theyyyy had everything you want. it was literally unbelievable!! I was sooooo surprised !! Well i bought some stuff but being a girl i didnt know much about fire work so the guy working there was really cool he helped me out on what to get and at the end everything i bought was 100 times better than all the guys that "thought" they know everything. A great fireworks store! Been going here for years and they really are the closest to Chicago literally on the border with Hegewish. Prices are same or better than Shelton and save 2 hours of driving. As people have noted the store isn't very large but they do have a nice selection that the staff seems to doing it's best to keep stocked - the staff is nice and they seem to have a controlled chaos on the July 4th weekend almost carnival party environment. It's an experience in itself and walking away with something that can make me appear magical for my kids for a couple hours is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks Uncle Sam! read more

As a child you enjoy your parents, family, friends coming by to pop fireworks to put a smile on your face. And as you get older you discover that its more enjoyable for you to do the same with the next generation. This is place is my hook up! My first time a went they showed me around and took time to explain what everything did. They showed me videos on the television of the fireworks. Thanks Aaron for your help. I can see how the store would get a bit crowded on the weekend before the forth, so it's probably best to go early. Really good prices compared to the other places around. Right on the Chicago border. When we went this year, they through in some extra gifts at the end for my kids. They were very happy on the way home. We can't wait to go back next month. read more

This is hands down the cheapest fireworks store in the area. I was shopping around and found that the best deals were here. I shopped early and it paid off as the staff was able to help me more. I found they were extremely knowledgeable and they had a TV screen that had demos of the items they carry. I knew exactly what I was getting and thats a huge plus when it comes to fireworks because sometimes you gamble on what you buy. Not here, everything shot off and looked excellent. We came here after searching on the web and stopping by a few other places. The outside of the store itself is nothing special - but inside was great. Great prices. Nice selection and the staff was helpful. They even threw in some free stuff when I paid at the counter. I have been going here for a few years now and am always happy with my selection and quality. BOOM! This place has it all. I grew up in Pennsylvania and the firework stores were a joke in PA. I walked into this place and felt like I was in 4th of July heaven! They had a great selection and the peroson who help me was very nice. Spent a lot more than I would have ever expected, but I couldn't help myself. Went to Uncle Sam this past weekend and picked up some fireworks. Shopping here in the off-season paid off as I received a 10% Merchandise credit on my entire purchase. I've been impressed with this store since I started shopping here. Always has great prices and a helpful staff. Plus the TV has demos of the fireworks so you know what you are getting. I was in town visiting relatives an bought some fireworks from this place. I was blown away with the selection. It was my brothers birthday and we wanted to have a little fireworks show for his 50th. I walked into this place and the service was friendly from go. They sorted me out with what to get and what the kids like to see. Everything worked as it should with no duds. They had very reasonable prices and did not try to sell me crap. I got the kids good stuff and the big stuff really impressed all the adults. The only negative was the music playing in the store. Last 4th of July my kids wanted fireworks. From the moment we walked in, we we greeted at the door by a salesman, who was very knowlegeble. He asked us our budget, which was 300 dollars. We bought everything from mortars to sparklers. Fireworks always seemed expensive to me and not worth the money, but my kids really wanted them. They had the best prices in town! Went here for fireworks last year was greeted and felt welcomed right away, they did not pressure me to buy anything which i think is a plus , they had a pretty goof selection to choose from and the prices were great, i have bought fireworks from other places with much higher prices, but this one was my best experience and will be going back this year! read more
