You get west coast mid century modern that feels cozy and hip. The band played from 3-5 which I admit I originally thought was weird. But quickly realized why. This place was created for three reasons: good food, vibes, and family fun. You look around the room and EVERYONE is having a great time. Someone's Grandpa and grandma are having a blast on the Dance floor, kids are laughing, and everyone eating and truly having a wonderful time. The food was SO SO SO good. My husband got the pastrami ribs and I wish I had taken a photo because HOT DAYUM they were fire. And the coolest part about this place is they don't accept tip. Instead there is a surcharge so all employees can have a livable wage and that's so appreciated and you can tell by the service. Everyone we encountered had a genuine smile on their face. For the owners- my husband and I weren't sure if we wanted children and have been going back and forth about it for so long... but being in a safe family environment where fun and good vibes and inclusivity is possible- it hit us like a ton of bricks. Food came out quickly. We did have a server visit our table to answer questions and bring us anything needed after our initial order. He was great with giving us some recommendations. The restaurant charges a flat 20% service fee (so no tipping). Parking was a bit of an adventure as there seemed to be a lot of apartment parking on the streets and the lot was pretty small but we found a spot a block-ish away. Great stop!

I sampled 3 items from Mario's, an appetizer (Ciabatta Parm Bites), a small 8" pizza (Meat Eaters), and a dessert (Classic Cannoli). Every bite of my food was wonderful. And judging from the number of people lining up to get food, many other people agree with me. The employees at the brewery were also grabbing food and raving about Mario's. Yum! As a final note (to avoid confusion), this truck is NOT the same business as the bricks n' mortar restaurant in Watertown. The truck is an independent business that simply licensed the name from the restaurant several years ago. I had a nice conversation with the owner and he explained it to me. Luckily, I also had Turbo Taco on site, they pulled through and were able to serve double the amount of people than planned for, they kept up, had enough food, and most of all had a great attitude and were happy to take on the extra work.
