I definitely recommend Animales for barbecue. But, I didn't care for the weekend brunch menu that lacks barbecue. There were four os us. My friend and I found nearby on-street parking. I must mention the large deck. There is also an area for a live band but my review is on brunch. I was the only one with prior (food truck) patronage. Admittedly I didn't read the menu to know brunch is served from 11-2pm on weekends. No barbecue until 4pm. Our orders included pancakes, baked eggs, birria tacos, smash burger, French toast and the breakfast sandwich. Only the one who ordered the burger was wowed as we wanted that great barbecue. Plenty of food in each order. It appears brunch is popular with families. Service was friendly. Do grab some 'cue--after 4pm. I will; on a return trip.

So have you been here? It's worth a go. The food is magnificent and so is the location and decor. It's a bit pricey but you need to check it out. Because you my have a Cadillac budget and I drive a corolla.

We went at 430 on a Sunday. It was a Viking gameday and was absolutely packed, but we were still able to get in within 10 minutes. Food 5/5: We are big BBQ fans, and I believe this is the best BBQ in the twin cities. We had the chips and queso, St. Louis style ribs, pork belly, mac and cheese, dilly beans, beans, apple pizza, peanut butter pie, and both old fashions. The chips are homemade and so good! Lightly salted and the perfect amount. Of crunchy. The ribs and pork belly were warm, tender, and spiced perfectly. Everything we had was well spiced, and overall high quality with exception to the Mac and cheese, not much flavor but would be perfect for a kids meal but didn't match their overall level of the other food. Service 5/5: they use a QR code ordering system. Everything we ordered came within 10 -20 minutes of ordering. Silverware and all other essentials are located at your table, but there were people around to ask if you needed anything. Ambiance 4/5: when this space is full it is very loud. If there is a band playing you won't be able to hear table conversation. Something else to note, you may share a table with another group, so if that's a deal breaker to you know that is their style. They have a kid space which was packed, but overall an amazing thing to offer. Overall if you're ok with a loud and crowded space, this place is great. Overall we loved this new location. The food was great, the service was fast, and the ambiance was inviting but loud.

So sad that they are leaving Bauhaus this week but it's for good reasons. They are moving into their own brick and mortar. I am looking forward to see what other food trucks will find their residency at the brewery. The bbq combo meal was amazing. The pork belly was to die for. Tender and perfectly seasoned. I didn't get to try the ribs but it's telling when everything on their menu is nearly sold out on a weeknight. The price is reasonable and I love that their entree comes with sides. Delicious night out!

I spent a good chunk of my adult life living in Texas. I wouldn't call this the most authentic Texas BBQ experience in Minnesota. That's probably Jellybean and Julia's. But I'm also not sure that's the goal at Animales, even though they did get a review and recommendation from Texas MonthlY. What I am sure of is that the pork belly is the best smoked meat I've had in Minnesota. And they also have the best smoked sausage I've had. I wish they had a brick and mortar establishment. I wish they didn't have such limited hours. But it doesn't matter, I'd still go well out of my way just to have that pork belly, again.

Always amazing!! I have never met any dish or BBQ from here that I did not like. The ribs are perfect, the best amount of pull, flavor and texture every single time. We also got the birria tacos and they did not disappoint! The meat was perfect, was not too much cheese and all in all just so good! I love the mac and cheese.. it is so cheesy and creamy. Also the pork belly... just perfect. Good meat and fat combined along with a nice zesty asian sauce. I will be here again time and time again!

*Bauhaus location* We've been on the hunt for the best smash burger in the Twin Cities, and whoa, this is a top contender for sure. So good we had to get a second one to split in the same sitting!! I love that they're at Bauhaus - makes for the perfect drink and burger pairing. Their window service in the winter is great because you don't have to go outside - and they don't have to, either. Cashier service is very efficient and they call out your name when it's ready. Prices are steep but I have to say the burger is worth the price. We got the main smash burger and holy cow, it's perfection. Crispy, salty, every bite is perfection! Chowing down on it at the brewery is lovely vibes all around. We also liked the loaded potatoes, and the cobb salad! My brother tried the pork belly burger with onion jam, and he loved it too. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Went for the live music! The place was PACKED. Parking wasn't great but there's a lot of street parking, just be ready to walk a few blocks. The environment was fun but it was SO WARM in the building- they for sure need to get some more air flow when it's so busy. We actually didn't have any food this time since we went for the music. But everything we saw looked amazing.

The burgers here are delicious, melt in your mouth smash burgers. I had the pork belly one with onion jam and it was crispy, juicy and flavorful! One of the best burgers I've had! Love the pairing with the brewery, there's tons of parking outside and space inside to enjoy a nice beer with your burger. The people at the Animales window were super friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back!

My husband has been dying to go since it opened. As parents to a new toddler always looking for family friendly places to eat that are not chains. They have an indoor playground for kids to roam around. Our daughter found it overwhelming with all the bigger kids and just people watched. Their was a wait but thankful that the bar had walk up service so you could drink and watch your kids and wait. We ended up being seated at a booth with another family. It was a big booth so still felt we had our space. Now to the food. The French fries were perfect no notes 5/5. Hush puppies were underwhelming, over cooked, a minimal flavor though we did like the sauce 2/5. Green spaghetti was shockingly good. We saw so many tables grab it and said why not 4/5. Pork belly 4/5 was also great flavor disappointed for a bbq spot to only have one bbq sauce which was not been good. Nothing special to the andouille sausage 3/5. And the Mac and cheese was lackluster 3/5. Will def be back

Animales food truck outside of Bauhaus. U They're usually busy, which is not a surprise, but the line goes fast. I asked the guy behind the counter for his recommendations and ended up getting the Cheddar dog, which he described as a "slutty hotdog covered in Mac". I was sold. And it was exactly what I wanted paired with a Pilsner beer from Bauhaus. Comes with chips!

The best BBQ in the cities flies out of an adorable pink and orange food truck. Prior to its new home at Bauhaus Brewing, ABC would pop up at the since closed Able Brewing. It's now established itself at Bauhaus (just down the street) on most weeknights and weekends. We went for Brunch on a Sunday - a new offering. BBQ for Brunch? Next question. I've already delighted in their burgers (which sadly weren't offered as part of brunch), so I went with their basic breakfast. It's hard to conceive how they produce mouth watering fare from within a small truck. I certainly hope they open a permanent spot, but there really is something special about ordering from their pink rig and receiving piping hot food moments later. We all gushed at the tastiness, sharing bits and bites from each other's dishes. It was a struggle to give up tiny slivers of my thick cut pork belly, but I needed someone else to marvel with me! The denser, meatier cut of the belly mixed with the sizzling, oily, succulent fatty portion was an unmatched combo. The eggs were cooked to perfection, light and fluffy with chives and a hint of creaminess, while the house made focaccia was beautifully golden, toasty and packed with salty, buttery notes. The other two dishes were equally as fantastic, but again, I had a hard time pulling away from my "basic breakfast." Can't recommend ABC enough. If their burger is on the menu, you need it. If you happen to go for brunch, get something that incorporates pork belly. You will not be disappointed!

Does this place even need another review? It's incredible, and everyone knows it. Everything they're churning out is fantastic, but the pork belly on this tray was insane. Such a great summer atmosphere. Tell your friends.

Giving it 3 stars because the burger was top notch and they delivered it to our table inside the taproom. The food selection was your standard rich fare, which I love: fries, curds, nachos, brisket, burger, poutine, wings, etc. We decided to split the curds with spicy honey sauce and the pork nachos plus fixings for $11 and $12. Everything was a couple more dollars than I'm used to for a food truck but after we got our dishes it made sense, the portions were overflowing! The nachos were a little too wet, taking away the crispiness of the buried chips, from the meat and cheese but at least there was a lot of meat. The fixings included pickled onions, jalapenos, lettuce, cilantro and a pico de gallo made of tomatoes and peppers. The combination of the onions, unique pico and meat was super tasty. On the other hand I enjoyed the curds less. They were overcooked, hopefully a one off, and something about the breading consistently wasn't right. The outside was too crispy and inside there was an excessive amount of air pockets separating the thick outside breading from the cheese inside. I would have preferred a lighter coating, perhaps this could be their style.
