Long story short, I custom-made a t-shirt here and it was great. The quality of the final product was very high, and it was exactly what I wanted because I had complete control of the design process. The Absolute Worst Experience! I worked w the Evanston location. Sent my design a month ago, finalized everything and submitted design. I had to reach out to see how the process was going a week later, told things were moving a bit slower because power outage but still on schedule. Then receive an email that they can't do my design because of a trademark. I call email and text to try and figure it out and fix the issue, I have not received a call or email explaining the issue or seeing how we can get the issue fixed! Great costumer service! I used to use "One Hour Tees" for some of the printing I was trying to get done. Lately they seem to have this attitude that they're the only game in town. I was fortunate enough to find "Underground Printing" on my first shot trying a new t-shirt printing service and I have not been disappointed. I have worked with Sophia on two small projects now and her customer service is first-class. They'll send you proofs with a mock-up for approval and double check all of the details before finalizing your order. I cannot recommend Underground Printing enough for any custom screen printing needs. We use UGP for all of our company custom shirts and they are great to work with. Their people are very professional and are always able to turn around our orders very quickly. In the one order where we had a small stain on a shirt they let us keep it and got us a new one within a few days. When doing custom shirts their artists have been able to turn my ideas into exactly what I was looking for and the turn around for product always seems to be very quick. We just used them last month to make custom bowling shirts for all our employees for a company event and the shirts were a HUGE hit with everyone. BIG THUMBS DOWN for lack of customer service. From my sole experience with UGP, they have come across as flat-out unhelpful if you want anything out of the ordinary. I am an Evanston local and asked if they could simply burn a screen for me. The person I spoke to gave me the "it's not our policy or in our business model" speech. I said, "Why don't you do this? It's obviously in your capacity." Says he: "It's just not in our business model. And we reuse our screens." So? I'd be buying the screen from you. I've run businesses before, and my business model is, you know, serving customers. Even if the request is slightly out of the ordinary, but well within my means. What he didn't know was that I was making mockups for a series of 3 much larger t-shirt runs. I'm going to un-recommend this place to my boss, even though she lives pretty much around the corner. read more
