Store was upgraded this last year and the personnel also. I'm a PMB customer and very satisfied with their services.

Always helpful. No problems whether it's UPS, a return or mail. Very close to my house. They also work extremely well with AMAZON; returns only take a few minutes. UPS is more expensive than regular mail; but if you're willing to pay you get quick delivery and never have to worry about your package. read more

Today I made an online appointment for 1 pm at this location. Evidently there is a communication disconnect between the local franchise and the larger entity--they were not scheduled to have a notary on the premises today. They called other nearby locations until they found me a notary who could help me today, and arranged for me to go there (Central Street in Evanston--excellent service as well). read more

I prefer to shop around. When my family or friends mail something from this location, I tend to be miffed, mad or rather not have something mailed to me via this locale. They never messed up a shipment. I just hate how things are like way to costly for what it should be costing. THey double pack here which ads to dimensions increased costings and added weight costs as well. I just say shop around I just find this place is Way too expensive compared to other shipping options, stores or services. read more

The team is this UPS store is beyond helpful. Heather had so much patience for me with my ridiculous amount of packages to ship, and made me feel at ease throughout the transaction. This store is absolutely horrendous. Save yourself time and go to the Lincolnwood store or downtown Evanston. The store manager is rude and very unprofessional which is fine but it sets the tone for the other employees and overall customer service. Terrible parking too. read more

We use this location alllllll the time for returns and such, employees are always friendly. I encountered an issue with an Etsy return to Canada and reached out the GM of this store, David, and he was incredibly helpful. He dealt with the endless red tape at customs, getting the package returned, resolved incorrect charges - he was fantastic! Sparkle (Assistant Mr?) is very helpful, as well, and has notarized documents for us. I think it's best to call and make sure she'll be there for that, though. This was my go to UPS store for several years until this past Friday. I had to give a star rating but 1 star is too good. My experience was WORSE than NOT GOOD. The customer service I previously received was superior: friendly, efficient and helpful - 5 stars. This is consistent with other reviews...in the past. However, at my recent visit I was greeted with a cold demeanor, it descended to rudeness and finally I was told to get out of his store... he did not want my business. Perhaps there has been a change of ownership and the new owner wants to service only a certain demographic. I will also note that I was quoted a price of $50 to ship my package. When I went to a different UPS store the price I paid for the same package with the same shipping service.... the cost was $38. Perhaps store 1037 has different charges for different customers. read more

My husband picked the last possible day to do an Amazon return. Normally, he chooses the option where you drop off at a UPS or Kohls and let them deal with it, but for some reason this time, hubs chose the option where you have to create a shipping label yourself. Normally that wouldn't be a problem except, as I mentioned, Friday was the last day that the return could be made and for some crazy reason our printer went on the fritz and I'm not working at my office because of COVID-19, so I couldn't just abuse my work printer. So I went to this UPS store and begged for help. The employee was very kind-- he had me email him the label, printed it for me, dealt with my package, and wouldn't let me pay for the printing. He said normally I'd have to pay, but I think because of this stressful time he took care of it for me. (I wish I'd caught his name). I wouldn't have minded paying for whatever it would have been, but I appreciated this kind gesture at a difficult time (made more difficult by a procrastinating spouse), and I'll definitely be back there when I have other shipping needs. BTW, the parking lot is weird with one way in & out rules. That's not their fault, but I thought I'd mention it. There's a spa in there that's closed right now because of COVID-19-- I wonder if it's any good. When this is all said and done, I'll be wanting a facial. read more

ZERO STARS. We entrusted this store with a 100 year old heirloom to pack and ship to California. They have a "pack and ship" guarantee that they advertise. We insured The item. The article arrived totally destroyed. After montIhs of back and forth they "settled" the claim for 63 cents on the dollar. Loopholes and print so small it was never presented. Their settlement is entirely unacceptable to me. Buyer beware! This business and its corporate owner have no intention of honoring their commercial commitment to pack and ship faithfully and stand by that commitment of they fail to do so. Stay away! read more

I have to adjust this review because they aren't open on Sunday any longer. This in and of itself would not be a problem--except for the fact that the UPS website, as well as the site for this specific store, still state that the my are open 12-4 Sunday. I'm not sure why this hasn't been updated but I arranged my weekend errands based upon the info I got from this site yesterday (Saturday). I even checked while I was sitting outside the door of the closed shop to see if I had read it wrong, but the sites are indeed incorrect. I've emailed them about this and hopefully it will be corrected so others won't waste their time. read more

Like the first reviewer, I had to return a package by X date on a Sunday. Sunday? No UPS stores are open on Sunday... minus this location, (til 4?! Woo hoo) the only one open in my area. I went in with a prepaid label and asked if they had a box to fit my item (shoebox of awkward size). The worker (Eric) measureed the box, charged me and I was done! No packing, out in less than 5 minutes, bada bing bada bang I'm done. read more

I always come to this location because I find the employees to be most helpful and kind. Today I encountered someone who - for the first time - made me regret my decision. He was rude, didn't listen to me when I tried to explain what I needed, and then boxed and and taped my package up how he thought it best instead of what I was asking for. Please let the manager/owner know that the young guy working on Tuesday, July 24 around 3:30 PM was obnoxious - a real detriment to the kind of place where someone would want to frequent. read more

Been going to this UPS store since it opened 10-15 years ago. 20-30 something employee, tall guy with dark curly hair & a beard today, 4-2-21 at 12:30 pm ordered me to stand in a blue circle 15 -20 feet away from him when I set a big box down to zip my shoe & grab mail from my purse. No other customers other than a lady right in front of the employee. My right foot was 3 inches from the blue circle he was pointing to, I told him I just wanted to bend down & fix my shoe, he ordered me to stand back in the blue circle. Told him to F off, wouldn't tell me his name, then he told me to leave. Nice store you got there. Retail is a bad job, but dude you're not cut out for this. read more

A young white guy with a bit of a beard and glasses was working the counter by himself. I was the only customer. It was just before 6pm. I handed him a slip to return an amazon package. I put the second page of the slip in the package and closed it. I had a bit of the peel tape in my hand and looked around for a garbage. I expected there would be one nearby, like behind the counter. I saw one by the door so I thought I'd just drop my tiny piece of paper in the trash on my way out. The UPS guy saw this and instead of saying, "here's a garbage can you can use," he said, "there's a garbage can over there you can use." So I walked all the way to the door, dropped a tiny bit of garbage in the trash then walked all the way back. The whole time the guy was holding my receipt and waiting for me to hand it to me. He handed me my receipt. He took something else that printed out of the register that he apparently didn't need, crumpled it, and threw it in the trash right next to him. Oh, so you have a garbage can after all! My god! Would it have been so hard for this guy to just let me throw my trash in his trash can? I mean, I understand that just because I'm a customer doesn't give me some special status. But I am a human being. It was just a piece of tape. Why would he not let me throw a piece of trash in the employee trash can? It seemed like a superdick power move that this guy wanted to play just to show how superior he was to me, a lowly UPS customer. Honestly, I think he might actually be a sociopath or something. read more

Horrible customer service TODAY November 10, 2018. Between the hour of 9:45-10am. She was not attentive. Over looked me to attend to another customer! And did not resolve my problem of not having my retun package shipped for free. I found out later all she had to do was print a label for me and ship it back to the company for free... instead, she charged me $11.01. And that's all folks! Don't go to the UPS Store located at 848 Dodge Avenue in Evanston, IL. When this lady is working. I only rated 1 star b/c I had to give it rating to post my review only. Very friendly and efficient. Went in twice with prepaid packages to return, and while I was waiting in line, they noticed what I was doing and told me to leave the box and they would handle it after they were done with current customers. Also used them for normal shipping and again, found them helpful and efficient. read more
