This group is not all it claims. They continue to transport sick kittens, they have lost kittens, and they have had a kitten taken off a transport,which is a violation of the law, yet it is condoned by Tina LaBlanc, CEO of URRKN. The justification was "as long as the kitten gets a loving home". That is not the law. The persons who took the kitten publicly offered to give URRKN money for their trouble. Tina LaBlanc never did post whether she took that $$$. Now on Nov 7, 2015 she put up a post on her personal fb page, the Underground Railroad Rescued Kitty Network Friends and Family page and the Underground Railroad Rescued Kitty Network public page, asking the members of URRKN to come here to YELP and give rave reviews. What is that all about? Desperation? By the way, Tina LaBlanc, CEO of URRKN also took your logo and may have violated your copyright of the YELP logo by placing the URRKN logo over it. What gives here. The founder telling members of a group to come to this site and post good reviews of this group. If this is going to be the way YELP allows comments and rating to be achieved, then your site will be questionable to all who come to it looking into other businesses. I have been a volunteer conductor with URRKN for about two years. I have driven many legs and transported cats by plane. I also provide similar volunteer support for other transport groups. URKKN is among the most organized and efficient among those I have worked with. This group does a great deal of good with almost no momey. I transport with a number of groups like this and it is standard for transporters to drive for free. That is why they call us volunteers. However, when I have a direct out of pocket expense such as an airline pet fee URRKN reimburses me. URRKN does not require a sending rescue or a receiving adopter to pay for a transport. URIKN covers the cost of Internet service and computer equipment to maintain the Facebook page and website, the crate, printed tags, carabiners and other supplies needed for every transport. Not to mention the accounting fees required to keep accurate books and report annually to the IRS as a regulated 501(c)(3) organization. People are always entitled to their own opinion, but it is hard to give much credence to those who base their opinions on no evidence whatsoever, on the naive belief that nonprofits do not have expenses other than salaries, or some paranoid belief that URKKN can somehow exert influence even large businesses do not have and get valid negative reviews removed. No one forces anyone to deal with URRKN or similar transport groups. Rescues that do use them are able to save more cats. And that is what is all about. read more

The URRKN transported Godzilla to me from a humane society in Ohio. He had been feral prior to his residence in the shelter. He had been in shelter for 3 yrs, with no hope of being adopted. His adoption left another opening for another cat saving two lives) Without this transport I would not have been able to adopt Godzilla. I was given the option to donate money for the transport, It was NOT required. I did not have to donate anything. Godzilla is now here in Utah in a home and loved and safe. It take time to get a transport organized. It was not instant. There is a lot of preparation done to make sure these kitties Get to their furever homes, safely. URRKN gets the job done! period. they have never canceled a transport. Or had one not go through. these ladies and gentlemen make sure it happens. read more

I have been associated with URRKN for almost 3 of its 4 years. I cross post, I drive and I help during transports by coordinating drivers' pickups and drop offs. Most importantly I cheer on those moving kitties from point A to point Z and all the stops in between. URRKN fills a need created by the explosion of social media by helping take the distance out of adoption. There is no fee for folks to use services but there are expenses and for that there are fundraisers. URRKN has helped with travel expenses when conductors take multiple legs and incur expenses above and beyond the typical. Those of us who volunteer with URRKN do it because we believe in the mission, that by saving one sweet kitty at a time we are helping make the world a better place. My husband and I have been volunteers for URRKN since 2014 and have volunteered for multiple legs for many transports. We commend all the leaders for their dedication to each transport. Each transport comes with medical records and supplies for each kitty. We will continue to volunteer for this organization and will definitely recommend this organization to others who love cats. We have never been asked to donate money and have even been offered money for gas when we have been asked to drive extra legs. There will always be people who are very vocal about things they dislike and think it's their duty to tell the world. This applies to products, hotels, airlines and even volunteer organizations. This is a 501c non profit but they are not transparent...if you question anything you are banned and thrown out of their group. If I could give "0" stars I would. They hold fundraisers regularly...they have no employees that are paid, no office...all Internet, do not rescue cats...only transport and charge for that, also fundraise to repair administrators personal vehicle....no office to go to, remember internet only. Personal fundraising is not allowed in 501c non profit organization. Also ceo Tina LeBlanc asked followers to send 3,000 pennies so she could do her bedroom floor. This group has been nothing but stellar! I have participated in a handful of transports for URRKN. Every person (conductor) I have encountered has been friendly and professional. Tina LaBlanc and her directors have gone 100% above and beyond helping facilitate kitties to their "furever" homes. This is no easy task if you look at the logistics involved! Remember, this is a group to transport CATS...stick to the facts, instead of a few disgruntled HUMANS trying to create drama outside the group, and you have a wonderful, volunteer organization. read more

This past weekend, I was part of the Valentine's Love Train. I helped in transporting two kitties from Delaware to New Jersey. Everyone that I was in contact with was amazing, from the two conductors I met during pick up, and drop off, to the EA that was extremely helpful with all my questions, This was my first transport with this organization, and I look forward to helping out as much as possible. This organization is the BEST if you need to get a kitty from place to place. They give you full support especially on transport day. They make sure the cats ride in style, not cramped up in a little carrier. All conductors are vetted, for minimum drama. Being part of one of their love trains is a great experience, and I take advantage every opportunity I get. They've personally gotten 6 foster kittens (in groups of 2) and one adult foster cat transported for me with no hassles or drama. I love this group! read more

URRKN is an amazing service that helps people and kitties all over the nation! I have now had a chance to not only adopt a kitten using this service, but I have also had a chance to be one of the drivers helping another person adopt a kitten, so I have been on both sides of the coin! I've driven for URRKN for a few years now. As professional an All Volunteer organization as I've ever seen. Safety of the cats and the drivers is paramount. there have been some hiccups in the past. The procedures were immediately changed and there have been many successful transports and many loving homes granted.
