Let me list the ways that Jerrod is EXCEPTIONAL: - I have a LONG list of criteria for the property I want. Jerrod has several tactics to find what Im looking for. His intelligence, resourcefulness and creativity materially expanded the potential homes he brought me to land at a really special property that I loved. - He treats my money like its his own even though it means more work for him. For example, I was willing to put a little more into the offer but he advises me "I wouldn't pay more than X". Another example, given the circumstances, I was also skeptical we'd get anything on the inspection objection so I wondered if it was worth the effort and he said we should put one in bc you never know, and we ended up getting a couple grand. He saved me at least a few thousand over the course of the entire process. - He property manages himself so he has a great network of contractors and he has a good idea of what things cost. Very helpful in figuring out how to negotiate after an inspection is done. Both during the after the purchase, Jerrod got several handyman in to quote and fix things. - Jerrod goes above and beyond: I thought the 3rd party inspector could have done a better job inspecting the foundation. I expressed my concern and Jerrod offered to jump into the crawl space himself. He found hairline fractures in the foundation and traced them above ground to figure out the source and recommended a mitigation tactic which he then implemented by himself. UM.. Who does that?! Renee stays very in tune with market data and analytics, and understands the legal side or realty much better than most realtors, which was a plus for us. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to see our house in person, so Renee provided us great detail, videos, and answered all our questions, whenever we had them. Knowing this was a place our family had always wanted to live, we quickly decided to make the move and immediately began looking for a new home the local area. After several weeks of online research, we decided it was time to look at some homes in person so we got in contact with a local real estate agent. Having worked with RE/MAX in the past, we reached out to the local REMAX office in Colorado Springs and we were put in touch with Kristen Norton. After a few conversations discussing our search criteria, we set up an appointment to see several resale homes in the Northeast Colorado Springs area. As member of the military my schedule changes all the time so when I have a weekend available, it usually comes at the last minute. Thankfully Kristen took this in stride and she was able to set up several showings with an extremely short notice. Although the first few homes we walked through werent quite right for us, we worked with Kristen over the course of the next few weeks and she set us up on an email system where new homes meeting our criteria would automatically be sent to us. After several conversations with Kristen we also learned about the hyper competitive nature of the Colorado Springs market and decided to refocus our attention on a new build. After giving Kristen our new home search criteria she quickly put together a tour of new builders in the local area and did an amazing job coordinating yet another extremely short notice weekend tour of new home communities. After talking with several builders Kristen then showed us the Cordera and Wolf Ranch community in Northeast Colorado Springs. In doing so, we were fortunate enough to find a builder who had a spec home available that just so happened to met all the criteria we were looking for. Knowing this was the perfect home for us we immediately went into contract and began the home buying process. With regards to our Realtor- Kristen went out of her way on several occassions to help us with the process for our new build. She took photos of our homes progess and talked with our sales representative on our behalf when we werent available. She kept us updated on the home building progress and helped us every step of the way.
