If you don't want to waste time, use Labcorp instead. I picked up a sample kit and when I made the appt it didn't prompt that I'd need an appointment for dropoff too. They will NOT take your sample unless you just wait, even with an empty waiting room. 45 minutes that I didn't have. With an empty waiting room! Labcorp label all your samples at pickup, so dropoff is easy and quick. Note - The staff member there seemed very nice. It's just a stupid process. I hope it helps their workflow, because it's awful for customers. Update: I had to make an appt at another location 2 days later. In and out in 3 minutes. 3 MINUTES! Quest made me wait 2 more days and take a 60 min round trip to save themselves 3 minutes... read more

The lady that took my blood was very kind and even gave me water and helped me get my bar from my bag when I got lighthearted. True, there's no check-in desk but the electronic kiosk was easy. I had no appointment but was seen in about five minutes. Rosie told me I was the last appointment (this was about 5 minutes before closing) and a minute or so after me, a little person in a motorized cart arrived at the door and was having difficult getting in. Rosie stayed open to care for this woman. She was also a very good "stick" -- this from someone with post-chemotherapy veins that are hard to access. I saw Rosie act with kindness as well as professionalism. Worth giving them your business based on my experience. read more

There's several Quest Lab locations all over town but this is the only one I go to now and have been for the past few years because I've had issues at their other locations. This location is always clean and they're usually always on time - especially if you make an appointment like I do. I've never had an issue or problem here. I hope the higher-ups read these reviews because I usually wouldn't leave a review on Yelp for lab work. But I have to let everyone know how awesome & incredible Crystal is. Not only is she an excellent lab tech, she is gentle, kind, sweet, compassionate and extremely patient. My Dr's office made mistakes with my lab orders but Crystal went above & beyond today with me and all the wasted time we spent together trying to contact & get though on the phone to my Dr's office. Crystal even stayed well-past her lunch break to assist me as we attempted to contact my Dr's office several times to resolve their mistakes; before they were gone for their lunch break, which would of required me to comeback after 1pm or reschedule for another day. My appointment was @11:40am and I checked in @11:30 and was seen 5 minutes early. Had my Dr's office staff & nurses done their job properly, I would of been out of there in 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, I didn't get out of there until 12:15pm. But Crystal didn't mind working through her lunch break because all she was concerned about was solving the problem and providing me with an exceptional experience. No other Quest Lab location I know of would of cared as much and sent me on my way @12pm on the dot without providing services nor would they have excelled & shined like Crystal did today. My phlebotomist was professional, kind and really good (didn't even feel it)! I didn't catch his name but he's a young man with nicely combed dark hair- so professional!!! As soon as we walked in we found out that although our doctors sent in the lab request "lupe" couldn't find it on her system, on top of that two out of three of our appointments never went through. As soon as we were called to the room "lupe" refused to work on all three of us claiming that there were too many people while there was only one other person who was getting work done by someone else. She spoke in a completely rude and disrespectful manner.She was so rude we had to get up and leave and we are never going back to this location, they have the rudest staff with no understanding of manners. read more

I've honestly never thought I'd be so disappointed during a blood test that I'd have to come drop a negative comment on a Yelp page. I was here a few weeks ago for a simple check up. I have never been so badly handled while having my blood taken out. I was asked to not be afraid and to stop shaking, when the person drawing my blood was shaking like a goddamn leaf!!! He literally was not able to keep the needle in the arm to take out a vile and had to stick me on my second arm. Then I listen to his tales of being stuck and sticking people while in medical school and how he's an expert he was. Bull-fuckin-shit. When he drew blood from my second arm, there was so much blood coming out of my arm, you would think I went to the butcher rather than a medical clinic. I've been stuck by enough needles from nurses to know that was the worse experience as a patient. I wish I remembered the guy's name so people would know who NOT to work with while there. This place is outrageously rude and insensitive and unprofessional and incompetent. They denied me service after being incompetent and not able to figure out the code for a lab and by the time they figured it out one hour after my appointment time, they said it is too late and they don't have enough time to do the lab. This was for my 11 year old son who was the whole time waiting with so much fear and anxiety. They are also not willing to combine two differnt docotors orders with the same blood draw which is unheard of and asks you to come on a different day to do the other order even though there is like 80 percent overlap between the two orders. Worst experience at a medical office ever...no one managing the front desk, no sign to ask you to sign in via computer, then they claim walk-in are welcome, and while the office wasn't busy at all, it took 15 minutes before anyone was called in and then they kept taking scheduled appointments before me after an hour of waiting. Rude and lazy staff...there was no way they couldn't have fit me in...and on top of that, they didn't even ask what I was waiting for, how long it might take (the computer said 30-60 minutes...all bullshit. They don't answer their phones. They cancelled my appointment when I was 10 minutes late and told me I would have to come back another day. They wouldn't take me as a walk in. I tried to make another appointment and there weren't any for two weeks. The phlebotomist said she was the only one there. I have been here twice, first time went ok. I came in with an appointment and got bloodwork done. This second time I also came in with an appointment and i had to call my dr. to resend the fax bloodwork order because they didn't have it, probably lost it or threw away. Once they had It i literally had to wait 25 minutes more, and i had to leave to move my car because I parked in a 1 hour zone (i thought it would be quick because I had an appointment). I walked back and got blood drawn, the tech wrote my two last names backwards and I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for her to correct it. Never coming back here again. I made an appointment way in advance. I went to the branch, but apparently, my appointment never went through. I signed in as a walk-in. It took 2 hours for them to take me. 2 different Drs had sent the Rx. one by fax, and the other in the system. "The lady with red hair" refused to look for the one which was faxed. SHe said it takes too long of a time. I begged her and very politely asked if she could please look for the fax b/c I had waited too long already, it's hard to go back, and they are important labs . She refused. I tried to explain further, she all of a sudden took the torniquet off of my hand and refused to draw my blood and said I was rude. I was shocked, begged her to please just draw my blood so I can go. The other tech from the other room came and said I had to leave otherwise they would call security. I am a professional individual and I work at Cedars as a provider. I have never encountered such a thing. I told her so, she told me to go back to Cedars and get drawn. I left and right away found another appointment with another quest on Wilshire and Lacienega for that morning . They were very nice, friendly, and helpful. But he couldn't find the orders that were already in the system, ( i am thinking b/c the tech from Bedford printed them already and perhaps released them or somehow they disappeared from the system after she started the process. He was very nice and told me to wait in the waiting room to work on it and find the orders. But unfortunately after one hour, he said he could not find them. But he did find the orders that were faxed. But could not open them. AFter all, He told me it's best to reschedule for another day. It wasted my whole day from 9 AM till 1 PM. Bedford staff were very unprofessional, unorganized, careless, and incompetent. Wilshire people are very nice, friendly and handworker. But my experience with Quest overall is horrible. Every time I go, there is an issue, and it seems the workers don't care at all, and they are just there for a paycheck. Please fix the system. A lot of people feel the same. read more

I recently went to this location in BH as a walk-in. Covid aside, the staff at the front desk, specifically the gentleman checking patients in for appointments was very unfriendly and unprofessional. He refused to answer questions regarding checking in because the capacity was "one person " (meanwhile, there were 4 people sitting inside waiting) If occupancy is their main concern due to covid 19 regulations, then the option of walk ins should be removed from this location, otherwise they are requiring you stand in a hallway outside of the facility, without them even knowing you are there. I appreciate health care workers during this time and always, however as a patient, I would like to be treated with kindness when I walk into a health care facility and that is all. read more

I've been here several times, but today is the last. I didn't find out until after I got there that my doctor's office hadn't sent the orders for blood work. M-kay. They made no effort to reach doctor, and I couldn't get through when I tried. But they DID have old orders from 2020 still in the system. Quest is typical of corporations that come about to destroy small business is a horribly run organization whose only goal is to maximize shareholder profits. The front desk staff are not very bright and quest purposely makes their work laborious and there is no way you will ever walk in there lab even when there are no other clients and get out in under 35 minutes. They tell you that they have to do paperwork before bringing you in to draw your lab and it takes them forever to do this process. It's like going to a government office in a third world country where it takes a whole day to maybe get one thing done and where the staff have no interest helping expedite your care. They are not stakeholders in the business and thus don't care about you the client. Go to independent labs as much as possible. read more

You know how McDonalds has figured out that you have one person taking orders, one person cooking, and one person cleaning? Division of labor, Econ 101, etc. This place has ONE person entering information, drawing blood, SHIPPING BLOOD SAMPLES, answering the phone--everything. AND she's rude, but that's probably because the fact that she's the only worker means everyone after the initial appointment is delayed. It's barely the afternoon and she's estimating that I'm going to be 45 minutes late for my 15 minute appointment. For comparison, the estimated wait for a walk-in is 45 minutes. What was the point of making an appointment? (Hint: Don't.) Also, if we're both estimated to go in at the same time...and she's the only person here...I don't know if she's going to draw blood from us with one hand each at the same time or what. I kind of WANT to see what happens, but I'm leaving instead. Do your labs elsewhere. read more

I went in today after making an appointment online two days ago. My appointment was for 10:30, I got there at 10:30 and was sitting in the chair to get my blood drawn by 10:33. Amanda was wonderful. All the reviews about her were right on. She is friendly, professional and cares about what she's doing. If you need blood work done this would be the place to go. I have had many bad experiences over the years with painful trips to the labs INSIDE hospitals and clinics that don't initially use the correct equipment or are insufficient. I'm talking being stuck 6 times before the 1st vial is done :( I drove to this location in Beverly hills from south la passing dozens of quest locations to come see Amanda because of here excellent reviews on Yelp. She did not disappoint! Amanda was very nice and made sure I was comfortable before drawing my blood. She explained everything to me before during and after and AMAZINGLY drew 6 vials of blood in mealy 3 minutes! From start to finish, I was out of there in 20 minutes, including waiting time! Before we had only horrific experiences with quest diagnostics, my son was traumatized. But here it was all very different. Easy and quick experience. There is parking available two doors down and it's free for the first two hours. My appointment started on time, despite them not having the right information in the system. Overall the appt was fast.. Only reason lost a star was because he read the scale wrong for my weight (didn't care enough to fix), and he left a massive bruise on me while taking blood. He kept moving the needle around. Should have read these reviews before heading in. AVOID! There are too many other good locations in the area to have to deal with the arrogant and unfriendly staff at this office. My 2yr old daughter needed to have blood drawn for the Southern California Food Allergy in Long Beach. We were told by the allergy office that any Quest location could draw the blood... and when we arrived 15 min early for our appointment the receptionist Rawquanda looked at the SCFA paperwork and stated 'This is from that Long Beach office. You need to go there to get blood drawn.' I explained that the SCFA office said any Quest could perform the draw, at which time Rawquanda's attitude was kicked in full gear. She called for another receptionist to look at the paperwork, they whispered, and the 2nd receptionist repeated the same thing. I asked if they were sure, and disgusted with my question, I was asked to sit in the lobby while they researched. After 10 minutes I was asked to come back to the front desk, where Rawquanda said 'I'll do you the favor this one time and call the SCFA office to figure this out for you' at which point I asked for my paperwork back, her name, and said with a smile that I appreciated all of her help and we'd head down to Long Beach. In the parking lot a quick call to SCFA revealed that any Quest location was able to perform the draw that that 'we've head of this happeneing before at this office'. Yelp absolutely came through for me on this one. Amanda knows what she's doing. After dozens of blood draws over the years, I have had one too many phlebotomist (that's the name for people who do this for a living) poke my arm endlessly, say "I think I found one," and then stick the needle in, wiggle it around, and get nothing. I'm sick of it! Amanda took about 5 seconds to locate the best vein and then proceeded to explain that she could get the best stick by inserting the needle straight on and then angling it to the left. And just like that, she took 6 tubes the first time, painlessly. It reminded me of the legend of Babe Ruth pointing his bat to left field right before he hit a home run there. I didn't even have an appointment and yet, including the paperwork, waiting, and getting the blood drawn, I was in and out of here in less than 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it. Parking was free in the public garage next door, too. I would not hesitate to send anyone here. I'm a difficult patient for blood draws and if they can do it that well for me, they can do it for anyone. read more

Absolutely the worst Lab in the World!!!! There is no way to ever call them, they will never answer. If you have a dial up phone, you are out of luck, it just hangs up. If you have a flip phone, you are doubly you are out of luck and If you do not have a computer, you are triply out of luck. Their advertised hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the Internet but when you go there, they are closed a few minutes before 4:00 PM. read more

I had a late morning appointment and arrived on time, only to find out the lab was closed for a few hours because they had "a situation" that needed to be assessed. They must think no one works/has kids and everyone lives in the building so it's totally convenient to pop over. I have always used Quest but twice now I received a bill from them that my insurance didn't cover the labs. Quest never told me prior to my tests my insurance company wouldn't cover the tests. I have written numerous letters telling them my problem with them and they should try my secondary insurance only to receive a final notice to pay the bill. It's not fair! I have called only to be put on hold for 32 minutes before I hung up. I will never use this company again! read more
