My car gas tank was close to empty so I needed to fill her up. As I was driving on Atlantic Blvd, I happened to stop right in front of this very well lit and clean 76 gas station. I said I should take advantage of this moment and get gas and so I did. I turned into this gas station and chose my pump. I noticed the diesel pump was separated out from the non-diesel pumps which was a first for me to witness. My visit here was very short. I paid at the pump which is my preferred choice. I seldom if at all pay at the register unless the credit card option doesn't work at the pump. What I noticed as I was driving away is that this 76 has about 18 pumps which I thought was interesting. It's probably this largest 76 I have ever seen. This may be my one and only time visit unless I'm in the area again and need gas. read more

Just north of 10 San Bernardino Frwy off at Atlantic blvd by Valley blvd. It sometimes gets busy here, they deliver gas every other day which makes the gas fresher for your pickier Hot Rod. read more

It's almost always busy at this gas station, so it's a good thing they have a lot of pumps. My estimate is that they have 26 pumps. If I don't fill up here, I fill up at Costco in Alhambra. This WAS my usual go to place for gas. That all changed when I met Ana at the register. I came in to put in $25 for regular gas and gave Ana a $50 bill. She mistakenly inputted that I was putting in $45. I would have looked this over at first, since it's a mistake that can be resolved by pumping $25 exact and expect $25 back as change (To be exact, I pumped $25.05). When I got my change back, I noticed I was missing an extra $5 that I was owed. I talked to Ana about it and she claimed she had given me the correct change of $19.95, despite me giving $50 earlier!!! Ana said that she'd look on the camera to see if what I said was true, but the inane way she insisted she was correct was already rubbing salt into the wound. Needless to say, I didn't want to make a fuss about it and simply called customer service, who got me in touch with the manager. Four hours later, I came back and got my $5 back from Ana, who seemed less than thrilled to see me. Here's a question for management: why would you employ someone who admits that she's made this mistake MORE THAN ONCE and smiles about it? TIP: Do not come here in the mornings if you're paying cash. You'll likely get shortchanged if Ana is there. Apparently I'm not the only person who's had this problem before. People drive out of their way for gas at this 76 because of the slightly cheaper prices. I drive out of my way for this station because it is where I met my wife. Seriously. It puts a whole new meaning on going to the gas station. "Need me to pump your gas?" "Fill 'er up!" "Want me to check your oil?" "Premium or regular? Full-service or self?" "Pay at the pump." Of course, the reality of our meeting is much less exciting than you imagine, but still absolutely memorable to me. It was her eyes that captured me. Not that you really care ... so, let's get back to the gas station. This is the busiest 76 around. There's no car wash and no mini-mart with icees and donuts. It's just a bunch of pumps and a guy in a booth selling smokes. Pull in, fill up, and move on. It gets so much traffic the city actually had to partition and widen the road. If you are going north on Atlantic, you'll have to make a left at the light and enter from Shorb. Don't worry, it's pretty obvious. Plenty of pumps (I think there's 5 rows with 3 pumps each) and an air station. It's a set price unlike those Cash vs. Credit stations...bleh! Avoid coming on weekends or during rush hour...there will be a wait. Two complaints: 1) they keep cancelling my CC transactions once I press "yes" for receipt. It's happened to me a handful of times...Ugh! 2) stupid drivers blocking the intersection on Atlantic and Shorb! How am I supposed to make a left into the station. I have been coming to this gas station since I started driving. They use to be the least expensive, but not so much nowadays. The gasoline prices is about .02-.04 cheaper, but not the cheapest. This gas station use to be always crowded. But not so much anymore. Competition is fierce doing business in the San Gabriel Valley. I come here for the convenience if I am in Alhambra. This is a very popular spot, prices are decent for the area, only place cheaper is Costco gasoline. Most of the times it's not too crowded and you get a pump right when you pull in. I use the GasGuru app to search for the cheapest stations near me. So far, the only drawback that I could think of on this gas station is the lack of a walk-in convenience store compared to other locations and no restroom. Hence, minus one star on the rating. Since this station is along Atlantic Blvd. it can be difficult to exit towards the Atlantic Blvd during busy times. read more

Cheapest brand name gas in the SGV area. I've been coming here briefly after the gas prices hike. I used to not be a fan of this gas station because it is always packed, no window wiper, no restroom, no auto shop, and no convenient store. But in the tough economy we are in now, who cares about those those....it's all about paying less for gas! It gets packed during rush hours and on weekends. Sometimes, the prices at Costco or at United Oil on Garfield (north of Main) is slightly cheaper, but usually they're all equivalent. Please people, ENTER ON SHORB, not Atlantic. This is the ONLY 76 I get gas from in the SGV. I live close and the prices are cheap. One of the side effects of cheap gas is a ton of cars trying to squeeze in for a fill up. 1) Fill up late at night (usually past 10pm) or early (usually before 8:30am). 2) Enter on Shorb St. The flow of cars usally head out onto Atlantic Blvd. So you'll be rolling the dice by entering on Atlantic. It's like a salmon swimming up stream. 3) PLEASE pull all the way forward! It irks me to no end when people just pull up to the last spot so they can leave without obstruction. This never works because so many cars are waiting behind you. That middle spot is not maximized to its fullest potential which leads to more back up. Stop being a selfish prick! Btw, if you are a timid driver, please keep moving on to the next gas station. You'll be eaten up alive by the other aggressive drivers like ahem, me. The gas station doesn't offer much in terms of free air, water, or selling snacks and drinks. Go up the street to the chevron on atlantic which is about .04 more expensive for gas. This being SGV, the obvious and logical conclusion is long -- unreasonably long -- lines during rush hour. Why not pay 5 or 10 cents more per gallon (60 cents or $1.20 for a 12 gallon tank) to avoid 10 to 15 minute waits? I remember that this was THE station to get gas because it was always the cheapest. The downside was that it was always insane trying to get in because the lines were so long. These days, I'm not sure if the prices are much lower than other stations or not, but there was NO wait and there were several empty pumps. Perhaps we hit it at the right time or perhaps the gas isn't as cheap as it used to be. Regular was $4.05 and Super was $4.23. My new regular station is usually under $4 for regular, but haven't driven by in a few days. The station was immaculately clean as usual and there is plenty of room in the rows of three pumps for three cars to actually fit in and pump simultaneously. Unless I hear otherwise or see that the prices are lower elsewhere nearby, if I'm in the area and need a fill-up, I'll stop by again. read more

Back in my college days a lot of news are spreading that is someone put some unsafe needles to make the person who fills the gas become HIV/ AIDS. But overall, the gas station is good, safest place. The worst cashier ever named Toshimi. I went there to buy cigarettes, and he asked me for ID. I show him my ID, and he look at it for 30 seconds and asked me for any credit card associated with this ID. Gas is cheapest here in west SGV. During peak hours, it takes a bit of navigating, waiting and claiming a spot. There are double stalls here and lots of people so it is get in get out quick relationship here. They have diesel and I'm not talking about the overpriced fashion. Traffic Is dense here so be warned of lethal Chinese driver. I dont remember if they had a bathroom, but they did have an air hose and water. They have no TV or walk in store, but I have exceeded a normal persons interest in a gas station. read more
