My first time at this Costco Gasoline station yesterday evening. It's conveniently located in Monterey Park right along side the 60 Fwy. They weren't super busy, but each row of gas pumps was still occupied with cars. Grounds were clean. Great to see the overhead LED indicators are available to show whether the gas pump is vacant or occupied. I saw 4 sets of columns with 4 pumps on each side. If I do the math right, there are a total of 32 pumps. Pretty decent size. I saw green and drove right to that pump. Space between the two sides was enough for my Mom's van to pass through. Got a full tank of gas and we were on our way. No interaction with staff whatsoever. Prices were in the $5+ per gallon. They are usually cheaper by $0.10 or so compared to other name gas brands. Tip of the day, you'll have to enter the gas station area from the outside road that borders the parking lot. There are markings on the ground, but I still got confused. Stopped by on Saturday & although it looked busy and the lines seemed long it wasn't as bad as we thought. There are a lot of pumps at this location (or maybe it seemed more than usual). The lines are pretty well defined and organized not like other locations. We were in line for less than 5 minutes. There's also a Chase next to it and food options at this location. read more

This cosco gas station is super chill, totally passes the vibe. You just gotta know when to go. I won't be telling yall at what time or day to go exactly out fear it will get burnt out but if you know you know. The attendants there are super chill too. They often direct you or give you a heads up if a gas pump is available. Cosco members here are super chill too, one time i forgot my executive membership card and my gas pump neighbor let me use his girl's cosco card on some chill shit. One thing that people have relied on is that Costco has cheaper gas than other branded gas stations. With that is mind, we find comfort that all stations will have the same low price regardless of which location one gas up. Not so, I have discovered that this location, on several occasions, is at least $0.10 to $0.24 higher per gallon than the one at the City of Industry. To be fair, I cannot verify if this is the only location that has a higher price. As far as quality of the gas, Costco is known to buy their gas from the major fuel refineries & no one knows for sure from which refineries they end up putting in their tank. This Costco gas station has 2 entrances from different directions. You can only go to certain lanes depending on which direction you are coming from. There are 4 pumps which makes getting gas faster. It is pretty empty before Costco open and when they are closed. That's when I like to get gas. It can get busy during the weekends but because of the 4 pumps and multiple lanes, you don't have to wait too long. read more

I am not sure why people complain about the lines...it's Costco. Expect a line at Costco gas in the same way you expect a line at their food court or store. It's a member store, where people go out of their way to make it to a costco because it's more bang for your buck than any other place. Early mornings are best. Received terrible service. They don't know how to delegate responsibilities it seems as I saw one employee yell at another one since he was just standing around. When two lines were made into three, they weren't splitting the lines equally. Meaning the people in one line were getting through faster than the other leaving some of us waiting for our food orders for over 30 minutes. At one point the employee servicing our line disappeared to go to the bathroom and instead of telling the 3rd service worker to take over our line, we were just left waiting. I don't usually get gas from Costco because the line is usually really crazy. I've been to this location four times now on the way home from work and honestly, I've never had to wait in the line more than just a couple of minutes. It should be noted that I'm always leaving a little later from work and it's on weekdays. I'm guessing the weekend is a different story. What helps this place is that there are lots of lanes, sensors to let you know what spots are open and they have those extra long pumps, so it doesn't matter what side the tank is on. I would give Costco gas station five stars, but the lines are just too long with that said it's the cheapest gas around in price and I take premium, well of course you need to be a member. The customer service is great Enrique and Vaju. are always helpful. Costco needs to add more pumps to the station here in city industry. Costco Gasoline in Monterey Park, is probably the best Costco Gas Station I've been at in California. With the recent upgrade from 3 gas pumps stations to now 4, the wait times have been significantly reduced. I also like how they recently switch the entrance to the gas station on the side road to reduce traffic for those who just wanna park at Costco. Gas Stations here are usually clean and all stations are modern. Costco offers Top Tier gas at a lower price which is a huge plus compared to Sam's Club for example. FYI - No Diesel Fuel at this location. Only Costco Business offers Diesel Fuel. Accepts: VISA Card or Costco Cash Card only. You can also scan your Costco membership QR code to the pumps scanner. read more

04/20/2021 New location for Costco after being on the other side of the freeway for years. This location features 3 pumps per lane. Yet, nothing seem to have changed. This business still allow people to pull up to a pump and their gas cap is on the opposite side of the car. I don't mind so much that they have to put gas in on the other side. But, do you have to pull on the hose like it's going to pull back? Do you have to stand in the lane so no one could pass? This is also just my opinion, if you're going to be on your phone with a call or text, pay attention so you can move forward. Otherwise I will pull ahead of you since you are preoccupied. Don't get mad because you weren't paying attention. Just make sure you throw away your PPE in the trash and not on the floor. read more

Decent, no frills, cheap and quick. Consistently have been the cheapest gas in the area, and that hasn't changed even as prices go up. Things you've come to expect from any other Costco gasoline. Mobile tap payment options are finally available and you can leave your credit card behind; however, you still need to swipe your membership card. There's been some upgrades since I last reviewed. Now there's 4 gas pumps per lane and they changed the entrance to the gas. So the entrance is on the opposite side near the freeway now. It does help with traffic so it doesn't congest the parking for Costco and the entrance for the plaza that is next to the gas. read more

Hands down the most organized Costco Gasoline I've ever been to. Unlike most Costco gas stations, this location has about 4-5 employees directing the flow of traffic which is necessary when it comes to Costco. For some reason whenever people visit Costco Gasoline in any city, they seem to forget how to drive... You have those people that chooses to enter the line closest to the entrance, blocking any other car from entering just because the pump is conveniently located right next to their tanks and those who just simply won't move forward when theres a huge gap between cars. The line to the pumps wraps around the block and takes about 20 minutes to even get to the pumps, so please do everyone a favor especially the employees by going ALL the way down to the far right so more cars can enter. Also fyi for those that needs it (trust me there's people that needs to know), the lights above the pumps turn green when the pump is available so please go when it is available instead of holding up the line.. Currently as of 03/06/2021 the cost of regular per gallon is around $4.90 which is still expensive but way cheaper than a lot of other stations right now so fill up while you can before it goes up any higher. read more

(Filled-up 10/01/18 MO @ 7:30am): No park in sight at this new location...but plenty of parking spaces throughout the new shopping center! Monterey Park's new Costco Gasoline station was conveniently visible off the 60 Freeway along my driving route towards the city of Whittier, and the Toaster needed some breakfast! On average, Costco's gas prices were usually about $0.20/gallon cheaper than the going rate everywhere else, and I was always about value. How did this location compare with others within the chain and in the area!?: PURCHASE 87 Unleaded Gas ($38.26) - I was below the ¼-tank marker, and this location was right off the Interstate 60 Freeway, so why not fill-up for less instead of waiting until I got to Whittier at my previous regular gas station!? Because this station was still brand new and probably not on everyone's radar yet, I immediately drove up into a lane, stopped, and pumped away; felt like I was casing the joint! After 11.25 gallons of gas at $3.39/gallon, my "Mango Mobile" was feeling good and ready to go onward on a full stomach! SERVICE Unless there was something wrong with the pump you were at, the machine was out of receipt paper, or your Costco membership card wasn't working, it was all self-service. And, my Pump #8 flowed at a good pace. I was so stunned by the lack of customers and giddy about a straight shot to a pump, I couldn't recall whether or not workers were around for any customer support. PARKING (n/a) None specifically for the gas station, but plenty once you drove away and headed towards the actual warehouse where they had a massive private lot. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE This was a large gas station with wide two-lane aisles and long lanes that allowed if you needed to pass by cars. It had a total of 24 pump stations (four aisles with six pumps each [3 on each side]). However, no soapy suds, squeaky squeegees, paper towels, and air or water stations - just like all other Costco gas stations I've been to. But, there were places to dump any trash you had. The pump stations were completely covered from the elements unless a hurricane or tornado headed towards you. I believe there were currently only one way to enter and one way to exit with sufficient space to maneuver once you pulled into the gas station area. There was plenty of natural lighting during the day and appeared like fluorescent lighting at night. There were no TVs or background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Costco Gasoline's Monterey Park location served its purpose not only because of the prices but for its extremely conveninent location to the freeway onramp/offramp.
