The room itself is incredibly clean and comfortable. It offers everything you'll need for the perfect getaway. The owners are extremely kind and will give great advice on local restaurants and sites to visit.

They offer both motel-style rooms and cottages--though I can only speak to the motel room, as I didn't stay in a cottage. I met the two new owners, sisters from New York, who were actively making upgrades and working on the landscaping. They were incredibly kind and accommodating, even placing me in a room away from other guests so I could enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. The room was clean and comfortable, with great amenities. The bed was cozy, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the rate was very reasonable--about $100 with tax. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower and a slight delay before the hot water kicked in. Other than that, no complaints. Check-in was super convenient. Instead of keys or cards, they use a keypad system with a code programmed specifically for each guest--reset after every stay. Great for travelers who are in and out. There's no on-site restaurant, but the motel is only five minutes from town. The property features a scenic view of a field and trees, plus a pond and small play structure. If you're planning to spend most of your time exploring the area and just need a quiet, comfortable place to sleep, this is a fantastic choice. Good parking, great people, and a relaxing environment. And to make things worse, they gave us the wrong key code to the new room, so we were stuck outside for a while. What really made the experience worse was the lack of professionalism from John, the person in charge. He wasn't helpful, never apologized, and didn't seem to care at all about the inconvenience. Not even a "sorry" after making us do all that at midnight. It was a very frustrating and disappointing start to our trip. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you're expecting basic hospitality and accountability.

Rooms are small, it not that bad and bathroom is older and not comfortable, they give soaps and shampoos in dispensers. We were out of body wash soap by second night. You can have rooms cleaned or choose not to. All in all, spent 3 nights,probably could have done another if had time. They do have a pool, didn't have time though. Playground and fire pit. Grounds are well kept. It was busy. I guess it depends how much you want to spend. It's not too far a drive from center and the Acadia National Park. Glad I came. Probably will search more for a more comfortable place. But glad I got to see beautiful Bar Harbor and Acadia at a reasonable price.

There also were not a lot of places to plug in devices either. Also, staying for over a week we never once saw anyone sweeping the floors in rooms that people had left and/or we never heard a vacuum. The towels and bed sheets were clean. This brings up another note, when we did laundry there were dead cockroaches in the floor from where the hotel had not swept them up. I think we counted at least 6. It would have also been nice to have been able to use the swimming pool but it was also not open as advertised. It didn't open our entire trip and it was advertised to be open a few days after we arrived. Also some of the breakfast items were not available on the menu either and they ran out of most of the items as we progressed throughout the week. Would recommend only if you are planning to stay maybe 1 night.

They were super jealous of our cabin and we definitely cannot blame them! A few nights were super chilly and the heat really made the cabin so cozy. It was the most luxurious place I'd ever stayed! Tucked off the main street in Southwest Harbor, this is a quiet little spot with well maintained grounds and amazingly organized cabins. Top notch bed and pillows. It's about a twenty minute drive to Bar Harbor, but it's easy and quick once you get the feeling of the layout. The "office" has extra swimming towels, movies, and books about Acadia. It's really awesome how the owners, Tom and Vickie, care about their customers. A downside was barely seeing the owners! We went in during their office hours but didn't see them. We received an invoice, and I was sad to not chat within our 48 hours of staying there. The 10am check out also was pretty brutal. You also clean your own cabin, which is okay, but we made breakfast and tea- doing dishes while packing up and paying the expensive price before 10? That was not great. It's pricey here, but it's so luxurious and beautiful, it's worth the splurge.
