When she found out she had cancer she had to take her dog Willie back here, she was very sad. He's a large pup, way to much for her to handle. They are a no kill place. He was placed in a good home right away! Mom says the head of the place and helpers are super nice. All the Fur babies are placed, and well cared for! The place is clean inside out, that's great for the furbabies. They have a website, so we set mom up. And she told them she was lonely and wanted a small dog, and bam in a week she got Ashton a Chiweenie OMG he's cute as hell. Again mom has commented on how organized, clean, and happy she's been with the place and staff! Thank you for making my MIL happy!

They took in the pup we ended up adopting from another facility. SCHS was more thorough in her evaluation than the first, and they were able to discover a medical issue that was addressed immediately. Thank goodness our new baby was saved, twice, by these special caring people!!! We will surely adopt here again and recommend all of our friends to do so also.

She was very caring, and truly loves the animals. The cats are free to wander in an open room. There is a long haired, one eyed tuxedo cat I fell in love with particularly that I'd love to take home if I just could! Another favorite is a mid sized red dog, who I'm told has had a hard life. He's previously been scarred by mange, and was neglected. He doesn't know what to think yet, but a sweet and cheerful fellow was giving him personal attention. I wish I'd gotten his name. But anyway, this shelter is where it's at! Friendly, professional, caring, and helpful people abound. This is my kind of place. If you are looking for a pet, come and meet your forever friend here!

First, they had kennel cough, then she had a infection that required antibiotics, they tested faint for leukemia, hopefully don't have it and now yesterday I took them to the vet and they had tapeworms.
