I was told that my dog WOULD NOT be allowed in "group play" being that he is over 7 months and not neutered. I took him to the vet to get the vaccinations required to be at daycare. At first I was happy to hear that an accommodation could be made for my dog to interact with humans and get out for some potty breaks. I only needed 3 hours to take an exam. I brought in his breakfast and came back 3 hours later to get my dog. When I walked in his food was still out in the lobby.... The employee or owner (unsure) who greeted me asked who I was there to pick up. I told her my dog's name and she said "wow he hasn't been here very long. I haven't gotten a chance to meet him yet." I thought that was bizarre... then what was he doing? 2 days later I received his "report card" which included the photo I posted below. My dog was in fact in group play. Not only could he have gotten another dog pregnant... he came home with kennel cough. Another vet bill later he is okay.... But still. What on earth are they doing in there? How many other "accommodations" are they making that aren't kept?? Maybe another dog didn't need to get a bordetella vaccination and that's how mine came home with it? I don't know but a 30$ stay for 3 hours (including the price to just make an account) plus over $300 in vet bills later. I'm not happy and would never recommend this facility to someone. I truly hope no one came home with puppies because I know that is a lot more than $300. PSA if your dog stayed here on July 14, 2025 they may also have kennel cough or be pregnant.

I didn't owe them a dime and on the last two occasions that I used them they failed me. they failed my pup LB even more on the last and never again trip to them. he became sick on the 28th with diarrhea and still was himself. on the 29th he acted like he felt slightly bad. that evening I called them and made and appointment for first thing next morning. the next morning 30th, they tested him for parvo and claimed he had it but due to me not having "funding" was their words, they refused treatment. he died later that night. the lady stood right in front of me and told me to go and get some "funding" then we will talk about treatment. how could they and if that wasn't bad enough a person calls and claims she was my pups owner and they pulled my charts and told her all about my animals and history along with lies about me. this place does not deserve anything but to be shut down. do not go there because it does not matter that they know your pup or dog is dying. if you have no money regardless how much business you bring them they will let your baby die!!

It's hard not to take it personally and begin to question your own worth. The boss has poor communication, lacks intelligent leadership skills, and walks around with an air of hostility. He will address a problem by screaming/yelling, nasty looks, derogatory comments, snide hallway remarks, and talk about you negatively with your other colleagues. While not every job is perfect, you want to work in an environment that will not make you feel devalued or worthless.

After talking to them on the phone a few weeks ago, I thought this would be the perfect place for his first boarding experience. I was not wrong. After dropping Jake off and visiting with the ladies for about 30 minutes, I felt completely comfortable leaving Jake there. I missed him while I was gone, but I didn't worry about him at all. He seemed as happy as a lark when I picked him up and has not "repaid" me for leaving him like I thought he might. I highly recommend Critter Cottage and plan to use them again in the future. It's nice to have somewhere to take him when I want a weekend away. Now I can go to hotels, etc. that are not pet-friendly.
