We called ahead to book a cab at 3:30am for an early morning flight. The cab never arrived. Dispatch didn't help except to give our phone number to the driver who never called. We were traveling with my infant who was crying from being woken up and having to wait outside. 20mins after our pick up time we ended up calling a Lyft (thank god for them). Dispatch called back and we told her that the driver never contacted us and we had to arrange other transportation. And had the audacity to ask for a tip!! Doesn't have a tap system so don't take them if you don't have cash. They're taking all your card info for payment like its 1994. Absolutely awful. I work at a hotel and had a guest that needed a taxi ride to the airport (they couldn't get an uber because their phone was dead). I called this company to have him picked up. The person that answered the phone was super rude first of all. They said to wait for a call back from them so I'll know the driver is nearby. Two hours had passed and I hadn't heard back so I called them back, and the person said "just keep waiting." Here I am, 5 hours later and still nothing!! The guest missed their flight because of this company! Super unprofessional and very badly run business. Got ride from DIA to Broomfield, 22miles. The fare was over $105, so with airport fees, $98 fare for 23miles, Nearly $5/mile!!!!! Their website says $2.25/mile I complained with the driver and he played dumb and told me to contact their office. It was late, I was tired, so I obliged. Union Taxi Cooperative Aurora. Stay away. Double charged me for a $160+ ride which the fare was egregious as well. After defending their double charge to my credit card company I had to let my CC company know I would close my account if they didn't re-examine the evidence and the second charge wasn't removed, which they did then remove. Basically I showed my credit card company my statement which had me being charged for two taxi rides, 4 minutes apart for over $160 a piece. This fraudulent Taxi company defended the double charge. The driver first swiped my card with the in-car system and said the charge didn't take and he couldn't provide me a receipt. He then swiped again using his phone/Square dongle and I was charged a second time. Finally resolved with my CC company after 60 days. Will never use Aurora Union Taxi Cooperative again. Have been an Uber customer a long time. Would rather pay surge pricing then get ripped off by an industry on it's way to the world of VHS tapes, end of the line for Taxi cab companies. I took the taxi from Denver Airport to Downtown. It's supposed to be a flat rate of $59. The driver stuck me for $76. He claimed his computer was down so he couldn't give me a receipt and had to call the company. When I questioned him about the overcharge I saw on the counter, he tried to tell me it was right. The bellman was standing there and told the cab driver he could only charge me $59. So the cab driver said he would get it corrected and I would get a message with the receipt printout. I asked him to write it down on a card, since every cab I've ever taken has a hand written receipt for back up. I kept checking my phone but made the mistake of getting out of the cab before receiving the messaged copy. The guy took off so fast that by the time I got the receipt showing the $20 overcharge, he was gone. I'm looking into filing a complaint with Colorado Business Department. read more

Got in a cab from the Denver airport. Right as we left the airport the driver turned off the meter and said it would be a $45 flat fee. I looked up the flat fee regions in the car, and pointed out that the hotel wasn't in a flat fee region and that $45 isn't the price for any region and he just kept rambling about how it actually. I called the hotel while we were driving, and they confirmed they weren't in a flat fee region. Didn't know what to do so I just paid the fee and made sure to get a receipt. The driver also made sure to berate me saying that "asking so many questions could lead to an accident". Afterward I called the cab company to explain the situation, and the guy on the phone was very reasonable. Given the destination, the overcharge was actually quite minor, but that's still not an acceptable way to treat customers. I was transferred to the manager who didn't seem to care that much (clearly he doesn't or he would do something about this constant problem with this taxi company). Said he'd give me a refund. As with other drivers, arrived at my hotel and what should have been a $90 ride was $143. I am a small female, and the driver a very large male. When I questioned the amount he became aggressive, leaning towards me and raising his voice. I was scared of him so I just paid. As I was getting out I realized he didn't give me a receipt. My feet were out but my body was in, holding my bag on the seat, requesting the receipt. He continued shouting at me, and started to drive while I'm half in and half out!!!!!! I took a taxi from Denver Airport to Downtown for what was supposed to be a flat rate of $59. However, about 15 minutes into what was a 30 minute drive, it became very clear the total price would far exceed this rate. Furthermore, the driver was not using the metered rate and was using some app on his phone that somehow calculated the price. My understanding is that licensed taxi operators are to adhere to the documented airport flat rates and if not that then use the city's metered rate that would be clearly displayed within the vehicle for rider to be aware. There was no documentation or fee schedule anywhere to be found in the car even after asking for more details. When i questioned the pricing and how i wound up being charged $100+ the driver insisted he was right and that had their been more traffic, the price would have been higher. That wasn't helping his case of justifying what already was a significant overcharge despite virtually no traffic on a Wednesday night at 11pm. Upon getting the receipt, it shows 0.08 miles were traveled which leads me to believe at some point he just turned off his meter and began charging through some other means that are not within the metered cab rate limits or the contract established with the Denver airport flat rate shown on the airports website. I will be filing a dispute. It's too bad. I've grown to prefer taxis in most cases as they are professional drivers who are licensed and credentialed to a far higher standard than Uber and Lyft. Got a taxi from DIA during a busy time as there was a lot of people waiting for an Uber/Lyft, biggest issue was there was no a/c in the cab during a hot summer afternoon, while it wasn't too bad when we were moving with the windows cracked, we were often stopped in 5pm traffic. Driving home via Colfax right by the state Capitol. There was a cab in front of me, who was driving slower than slow. So, I get over into the middle lane. He decides right by the Denver Post building to not only cut me off, but get over to the lane next to me, so that he can go straight downtown, instead of staying on the 'fax. If you can't drive properly with your company's name on your car, I certainly will not trust you with driving me anywhere when I choose to take a cab! After reading some of the reviews, this seems to happen quite frequently with their drivers. Definitely not courteous or safe. Find a more reputable cab company! read more

I questioned why the flat fee, why was I not seeing a meter like every other taxi I've been around the country, and why that rate was nearly twice what hotel staff had told me to expect. 6/13/2020 Got in this taxi at the Denver International airport. Gave our address. It was about a 10 minute drive to a local Denver address. The Driver acted like he did not understand English. We had to repeat the address at least 10 times. We had it written out also in clear large handwriting. The driver still did not get it for a long time. This taxi service is an obvious rip-off. Avoid this company. When you call, there is no answer. Just odd music. Cannot get hold of them. This should have been a $75 ride. We have done this before so we were knowledgeable. He charged us $95. He obvious missed the turn to our location. We watched him do this very deliberately because we could see the direction on his phone. We are reporting this so no one else has to go through a very bad and dangerous experience. We gave him $100 bill and asked for change. He said he didn't have change. His driving was fast, erratic and dangerous. He was not wearing a mask. He only put one on after 10 minutes after we were in the cab. read more

What started as small talk escalated to him saying "sex is important", "you're single, I'm single", and offering to take me to the mountains.
