Car arrived on time and journey took about five minutes but at a cost of £7 this seems overpriced and well over (almost double) what my usual taxi (JL TAXIS) charges. Also the journey was not metered, the driver just had the cost of the fare written on a piece of paper! I feel thoroughly ripped off and will not use this firm again, I would not recommend this firm to anyone.

When we asked the driver why the delay was told he had traveled from south shields so there was never a driver waiting for us ! So the next day I phoned the office to speak to the manager and was told he was not in, then again, and again, So I will never use this company again and have informed family and friends of the false information I was given that they would be waiting for us at arrivals so please use beware of this problem with this company

The taxi fare was more than double the cost of other firms I have used and when I asked the driver why, he said it was because I was in a minibus and not a car. I tried to explain to him that I only booked a car as there was only me traveling and did not request a minibus. He said that it didn't matter, I should of refused to get in when he arrived to pick me up. I was fuming, but I reluctantly paid him the fare. I then rang another Taxi firm in the area and asked them the rules around this kind of thing and they told me that I had been ripped off and should report it to the council. So I did just that this morning, and was told off them that he had broke the law by overcharging me as I did not request anything other than a taxi. They said they would deal with the matter and would contact me when they had. So a word of warning, this company ripped me off and in my opinion would not think twice about doing it again to someone else. I would strongly recommend staying clear of this company! The only reason I rang these in the first place is because the company I normally use (Aura Taxis) where busy and had nothing available for the time I needed it. But in future I will stick with Aura even if I have to wait a while until they have a taxi available.

However it would be nice if they could tell us they were running late after all they do have my mobile number when booking it. Drivers range from sullen and unfriendly jobs worths to polite and friendly and fun drivers. Fares are about average for a taxi service however other taxi companies are cheaper door to door. I would recommend phoenix taxis as their fleet is modern compared to other taxis.
