I tagged along with a buddy to purchase a few items and wound up finding something for myself. The store was relatively crowded, but surprisingly, they have an amole of employees, who constantly are verbal with customers. They only have a cashier for people doing returns/exchanges and paying with cash-everyone else, must use the self-checkout. Everything in the store was clearly labeled with the price and/or promotion price and everything in the store was neat. I had to return both items as they were too small. I am 5'8 and weigh 170. I ordered XL. So, the sizing is either from Asia or for very thin girls. The two pieces cost close to $100. A sales associate named Rick went above and beyond during my visit to this Atlantic terminal location! He provided me with knowledge on fit and pointed me in the right direction for the graphic tee & artist collaborations. He went above and beyond to and found a varsity jacket in the size that I needed and was told by another person it was sold out. That was the highlight!!! If you must, shop online so you automatically have a receipt of your transaction because if you shop in store, need to return items and either fail to take or lose your receipt you are screwed! Should you have questions, call a store directly and NOT their general Customer Service number. 1-855-486-4756 I purchased a bunch of items two days ago and needed to return a few of them. Looked for my receipt and realized I failed to take it from the self-checkout machine. I called their Customer Service and they told me if I went back to the same store with said items that as long as they had all their tags etc. and I had the credit card used at purchase that it wouldn't be a problem to return. When I got to the store and spoke with a sales person then manager I was told the information given to me by their own Customer Service was wrong. I have a love/hate relationship with Uniqlo. Normally I go to Uniqlo, see something I really like but they either never have the color or the size I need. Whether it's a shirt, shorts or pants this has been the case for me for years. So it was to my great surprise when I happened upon this Uniqlo and they actually had what I was looking for! Now, let's be clear. The items I needed were not actually on the shelves. When I entered I saw a display with the pants and shirts I wanted but they did not have the colors and sizes I wanted. A helpful associate came up to me and basically helped me look up the item in store and in other branches. He basically hung out in the area until he got someone to check the store room in the back. A few minutes later they brought out the items I needed! I was absolutely shocked (pleasantly so) at the level of customer service. Even the cashier was super nice. The store itself is large (bigger than the one by me out in New Jersey) with plenty of rooms to try out the clothes. The shelves were nicely organized, but what was on the floor tended to lean towards small and extra small sizes, so be prepared to ask someone for sizes above that. If I intend to buy from Uniqlo again I'll likely visit this branch. read more

This location can be a bit better in terms of cleanliness and "available" staff but it definitely saves you a trip to Manhattan. Sometimes certain sections are a bit messy but the staff members do try to keep the areas organized. Now asking anyone to help you; that's a different story. When I asked for assistance from previous visits, I heard excuses from "this isn't my regular location" to "I don't work on the floor" to "I just stand at the door" like really? So if you come into this location, don't expect any red carpet service. Also, the HeatTech clothing is usually high in the demand and they seem to run out of it at times. The store being in the Atlantic "Mall" jolts me into a reality that I'm indeed in Brooklyn and yes those are 15 loud teenagers right outside with nothing to do. They were just being kids though, so no harm done. Anyway, back to the shopping. Warning: If you want to try on a coat, you must do so on the floor. You have to find a place to take off your coat, purse, bags, etc and lug said coats with you to try on. I don't know why, but this policy is stupid. Especially for coats that felt cheap and weren't well made. This isn't Burberry. All in all it's nice it's here, but it's not for me (see Fulton Mall). I love their basic clothing, you can easily mix and match the shirts, t-shirts, skirts, dresses. No more " I wish they had that shirt in whatever color " cuz they do have it. Me personally love grey and white options but they got black, navy and pink tones as well for most of the collection. Located on the 2nd floor of the Atlantic Mall across from the Target, they are very centrally located for Brooklyn residents. Not too crowded, nice size fitting rooms, line for payment takes 10 minutes max. Reasonable prices. I also saw many designer printed t-shirts at my last visit, good for gifts. Nice stretch pants. I get it- people make mistakes, but why didn't the alarm go off when I was leaving so I could have known and had it removed? Disgusted, I came in to uniqlo location in Atlantic terminal just to witness an extremely unprofessional manager screaming at one of the cashiers and getting extremely loud with her until he had everyone's attention in the store, I can only imagine how embarrassed the poor employee was, to be yelled at in that manner in-front of co-workers and customers, I wish I could've recorded this unsettling altercation but he took her into the office so quick to reprimand her I assume. I asked one of the cashiers what the managers name, I was told something along the lines of "Kerry" or "karry". Some of these Yelp reviews crack me up. People are honestly mad because this location is smaller than others especially the FLAGSHIP store?!?? Well, I for one, like this place. I have a very sick infatuation with the Atlantic Mall, which is bizarre because there aren't many places that I love there, but it gets the job done. When I was looking for a new winter coat, I decided to see what this Heat Tech bizniz was all about. When I saw that thin a$$ coat I wanted to knock the whole display over. I don't play with the winter and I felt like Uniqlo was trying to play a sick joke on me. I approached one of the saleswoman and asked her to give me the real low down on the jackets. Was it warm? Would I have to wear 12 sweaters? What was the return policy if I turned into a frozen popsicle after wearing it? After she answered all of my ridiculous questions and assured me that it would keep me warm against the wrath of mother nature I purchased my coat and I can happily report that I am so happy that I did. It's certainly a treat that has kept me warm this summer. They also have other quality items that are reasonably priced and if you love a frugal world, you can also be confident that the higher marked items will inevitably go on sale. read more

Wow...pretty surprised this Uniqlo doesn't have a higher rating based from my experience. I guess enough people really hate that this store is not ginormous enough like the other locations. Even though the selection isn't as extensive as the other locations, i feel like they have a wide range of items being sold there. I got a few color socks and a pair of jeans. I had the jeans hemmed to a shorter length, and the length was perfect. The only real negative I found was that the hem on the right leg wasn't really closed neatly. It was a little messy, but it's not a big deal. The deciding factor that made me give this store a high rating is because of their customer service. I was really taken back (in a good way) because everyone who I encountered in that store was ridiculously friendly and professional lol. From the employee in the dressing room (and subsequently the one that helped me with the alteration for my jeans) to the cashier, they were all extremely polite and cordial. Not sure if this had to do with the previous reviews complaining about the customer service, but everybody seemed to go through a certain protocol (borderline scripted dialogue). I dunno why everyone is hating on this Uniqlo; I think it's pretty great. I found everything I wanted and needed (plus some extras) within 10 minutes of entering the store. There was no line for the dressing room and I waited less than 5 minutes in the checkout line. The employees with whom I had interactions were perfectly friendly and helpful. Yeah it's much smaller than any of their branches in the city but given the constraints of the Atlantic Terminal that's understandable. Went back the next day to switch something out for a different job and had a similarly smooth experience. I'll be going back; way less overwhelming than the Uniqlo flags in Manhattan and really convenient to my house. read more

Uniqlo's merchandise is great--durable, simply designed, and reasonably priced. Most New Yorkers know that already, having been to the giant Manhattan locations. This location has the same inventory, but in a much smaller space and a simple but somewhat cluttered layout. On a weekend, it's a little too packed to make shopping fun. Maybe if you know what you want you can pop in and out, though for now, the lines seem kind of long. While the Manhattan/Flagship stores are huge and extensive, and fun to browse, this is the one you go to for targeted shopping. You want a new sweatshirt? New Heattech leggings? Jeans? Some of those comfy cotton t-shirts all the guys I know wear? THIS is the spot to get the basics while avoiding the massive Manhattan lines!! You're in and out quick, and it's great, PLUS they'll probably have your size since there's less traffic here. Small sizes like XS are nearly impossible to find at the Manhattan branches, as others snatch it up quick there. The employees are all nice, helpful, and have genuine smiles on their faces. Since it's a smaller store, they won't have some things like earmuffs or lounge slippers, but that's okay by me. You don't need to buy those nearly as often as leggings or shirts. read more
