Super fun experience!! Wasn't sure what to expect. But our dune buggy guide was super cool!! We visited on Aug 28th for our 10 wedding anniversary! Had only 2 other couples with us, so it was pretty exclusive! Don't wear white (maybe obvious, but just in case you forget, like I did)! You will get a little wet and muddy. They give you partial bandanas in case you forget to bring yours--we didn't. We rode the dune buggy at a Super fun fast pace--probably wouldn't be allowed in the states. Then we stopped for zip lining at El Eden -- we were the only couple that diff this while the others had a beer tasting stop. Then we headed to Tequila tasting. The coffee liqueur was actually tasty!! From there we went to a lunch spot. The food was delish!!! Definitely will come back so our son can enjoy the dune buggy!! read more

Look at all the recent reviews n learn your lessons. The tour is advertised as 3.5 hours but you barely drive for an hour. They have 3 stops on the way for drinks, food, etc where you spend a lot of time. Moreover we had a bad experience as we had booked a single and a double ATV for a family of 3, but as soon as I started driving the single ATV, within a minute, the guide felt I had difficulty navigating it in busy roads n told me I am not allowed to drive. I respected his decision so I joined my friends who were in a 4 seater. After the tour was over we asked if at least 50% of the money we paid for the single ATV can be refunded as we did not use the vehicle at all based on their recommendation. But they said no refunds as their advice was for my own safety even though we never used their single ATV. They said once you pay, no refunds will be given under any circumstances. This company was recommended by our resort Fiesta Americana n I highly recommend against it. read more

Just did this with my Fiancée. We each had our own quad. She had never ridden one before, so I was a little worried and giving her the breakdown. They were all semi automatic, so you didn't even need to change gears; super simple. This was a great trip if you are into off-roading. The streets out there are very rough, and the rest is dirt roads, also rough. I went to scratch my nose once and almost got thrown off my quad. I am an experienced rider too. So as long as you aren't expecting a slow cruise through a city, you'll be fine. First we went to this place way out where they had pools, waterfalls, little café. it was in the middle of nowhere almost in the forest. Beautiful!, but there are spiders EVERYWHERE. So if you are scared this will probably make you nervous. It's the jungle and they are way out there. After that we went to the Tequila tasting. The was cool, and the tequila is good too. They have a killer view from up where they are, so check it out. The people were nice, we even ended up buying some tequila. After this, we went into town a bit and got food. Cool little place overlooking the river, The food was decent, and it was perfect time to eating because we were out all morning. Then we finally headed back. This was an awesome little tour. I would recommend it to anyone. My fiancée who had never ridden a quad before loved this. The staff is awesome, didn't matter we didn't speak any Spanish. Not as good as i would have expect from past ATV tour experiences i have.. Trip was not a loop but a go, reach goal and turn back same way as you came 20-25min of city streets to reach a wide paved jungle path, only the last 15min were dirt roads The guide never gave us an occasion to speed above 16mi/h even when it could have do it. A few drive into water, that is fun. End spot waterfall was nice, we only stay 20min On the way back, tequila testing is ok, but it is really trying to sale you alcohol 10min further, a 45min stop at a restaurant for you to eat was way too long. (food not included) Pictures taken during the tour are not including and were extra ! You get maybe 80min of ATV driving at best over the 3h tour. read more

They sell you a tour saying you'll go thought the jungle , through rivers and creeks (more like a little town) waterfalls (lies) This is definitely not any type of adventure . You leave and go Through the streets to get to "your atv tour" up a mountain for about 10 min, if that. Them You stop at the top which is a dead end and a place to have drink. That was about 25 min. Then you drive back down to an "tequila tasting" hop back on then to a restaurant for one hour All they do is take you to three stops to spend money. Nothing exciting and relevant on this tour. BEST ADVENTURE EVER!! Y'all! I DO NOT EVEN know where to begin!! Me and my daughters loved the Rio Cuale ATV Tour so much!! I'm always hesitant about booking group tours because we've had a bad experience or two in the past! Well, not this time! Victor was our "shining star" tour guide and David came a close second! We loved the hand signals, waving and sharing 'holas' to everyone we passed in the towns, and loved pressing the gas and going fast. We saw so many beautiful sights and felt pretty cool in our helmets and bandanas. Victor and the team made sure we laughed (lots), we were sung to, we had someone to jump from the small cliff into the watering hole with, and just always did cheerful check-ins to ensure we were happy girls!! (We were and stayed that way the entire time!) There are several stops for snacks and tequila tasting! You NEED cash for drinks/goodies. Otherwise, at the 3rd stop, the restaurant, you can use your card and for bottles of the most delish natural tequila you can use your card as well! This tour felt authentic and just flew by!! We NEVER stopped smiling and experiencing our off road journey in PV!! We cannot wait to return and take a longer tour with the next level ATV skills! Was promised 11, time to spend at park and enjoy waterfall area. Quickly had yo get back in keep and go back to town. Was sold Something else then what told. Not worth it. I'm a super planner. I plan out my travel days to be exactly what I want. So when I book a tour to get certain features, I'm super upset when I don't get it. The tour I purchased was much different than what was advertised. The can ams were fun. The zip lines were so awesome!! But the extra time to swim and enjoy the waterfalls and the hammocks throughout the area?? There was absolutely none of that. I packed around towels and bathing suits for the swim to "refresh" for 4 hours and was forced to either go tequila tasting or to eat at a restaurant instead. They just wanted you to spend money with their partners and not enjoy what you already paid to do. So our 4 hour tour ended up being roughly 1.5 hours on can ams, 1 hour on zip lines, and 2.5 hours waiting to leave cuz we didn't want food or tequila. Boo!!!! read more

Vile, none caring company, I wish I'd read their many poor reviews pre-booking, they don't use genuine Polaris RZRs (as shown in their photos) but instead cheap Chinese copies, they charge you for any small of damage caused (bearing in mind you are driving off-road) they do not offer cruise ship pick up and if you cannot make the tour due to illness are totally unfair and keep 100% of the tour cost (we would have been happy with 50% as that would have been fair, but it's fine, keep all of it, I want to share my honest experience). Very fun trip! They say that free water is included, but we never got any unfortunately. We had to buy it at the stops along the way. And just know you WILL be stopping for 30 minutes at a restaurant in the middle of your trip, whether you want to buy lunch or not. Overall we had a really fun time. (But be warned, at the place where you go for lunch, we saw the waiters taking the leftover salsa off of peoples tables and dumping it back into the main salsa containers then reusing it on other tables!) read more

Was referred to Unique ATV Tours by my coworker. Reserved our spot online prior to our trip, which was discounted online. My partner and I did the ATV cruise+Tequila Tasting+Zipline at Canopy River. We bought two bottles of Tequila and they accommodated to bring our bottles back to the office and pay at the office since we didn't carry much cash and didn't want our bottles to break while we were still cruising on the ATV's. Also had a pit stop for lunch by the river was perfect before the end of our cruise. We will definitely be back again with family + friends next time around! I don't feel quite right about giving our experience five stars because, unfortunately, due to a slight injury, we were unable to take the complete tour. Don't worry, though - Mr. P is totally fine now and fully realizes he's not Tarzan. We signed up for a dune buggy tour and, as it turned out, we got a private tour. Pro Tip: find out when the cruise ships are coming for their excursions and don't schedule your adventure on those days. After our intrepid guide, David, gave us a 30 second dune buggy driving lesson, we were off. We drove through the streets of Old Town Vallarta and up along the coast of beautiful Banderas Bay, past some gorgeous cliffside homes and Los Arcos National Marine Park. Our fun photographer, Pepe, took photos and videos of us and the scenery along the way. As soon as we turned off the paved road, things got very dusty very quickly. Pro Tip: wear clothes you won't be wearing for the rest of your trip, unless you have access to a washing machine (I am not kidding about this!). We drove through a little village and then farther up the road into the jungle where we arrived El Eden and the set of the movie "Predator." We walked around there for a while, took some silly photos, and enjoyed the lovely waterfall. After Mr. P dislocated his finger doing his George of the Jungle impression from the rope swing, we had to cut the day short to seek medical attention. Sadly, we missed out on the tequila tasting and lunch. We appreciated all of David's and Pepe's understanding and assistance in getting us back to civilization before our tour was over, even though they both were obviously disappointed. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour company to anyone looking to experience more of Vallarta than you otherwise would walking around in town or lazing at the beach. We booked it for 2 adults and 2 kids (1 riding on eat ATV) but when we got there, they didn't have 2-seaters and wanted 1 adult to ride with 1 kid on a single rider ATV! Very dangerous. And they only had manual ATVs which we couldn't operate. They didn't tell us this ahead of time. Their equipment was dirty and not well-maintained and they didn't offer bandanas to cover your face from the dust of the ATVs. The only reason I gave them a star is because they at least gave us our money back. read more

Amazing time! Enrique and David were our tour guides for this adventure. Loved how David stayed in the front while Enrique was in the back keeping a safe eye on us and also helping with blocking oncoming traffic when turns were made so that we could stay together. Felt 100% safe, the bar they took us to (first stop) was nestled away in this remote area surrounded by palm trees and greenery, waterfalls, hammocks . Paradise is what I called it. After that we were taken to some tequila tasting and finally a great lunch overlooking a stream. Great views all the way around! During the introduction to their equipment and safety/etiquette of riding they said no crazy riding. 2 separate young men as soon as we got to the dusty trails were fishtailing and blowing dust up with no consideration of trailing riders. My wife was the first to have a young man repeatedly doing this in front of her and when she asked to move me in front of her the lead told her to wait and get behind me. She kept her place and opened a gap for me to ride in front of her. They moved a couple of riders around and the next delinquent ended up in front of me and did not get corrected until we arrived at our next stop where I had some words with the young man directly. I am usually pretty levelheaded. During our lunch they moved us around and we ended up right behind the head guide. We were already on Mexican rock roads the only improvement made was that we did not have to follow the juveniles. I would have been a lot happier as well as the 30+ people behind us if the company would have backed their warnings from the beginning and eliminated the 2 young men from the tour. Hopefully if you take a tour there will not be any delinquents! The destinations were nice, the spotters kept us safe and the food was good. read more

We first tried to do ATV's but my 15 yr old didn't qualify so they converted us to two person Yamaha's. Tour takes you through the streets you'd never likely go as a tourist and up into the mountains. Saw a burro and her baby, a wandering calf, and several dogs. Beautiful country and rough terrain, so perfect for an adventure! Stopped to jump in the river, tasted tequila, and had a really nice lunch on the edge of town. This ATV tour was super fun! We got to ride up into the mountains. Our tour guide was "Victor" and our photographer was "PepeRazzi". The first break we took you can get a drink (beer/water), use the restroom and walk down to the river. There you'll also meet Hershey the Dog, who loves to fetch! The second stop we made was at a restaurant. The best part was the Tequila Tasting that was free (part of the tour!) where "Pancho" tells a little bit about where the tequila is made. We chose this as an excursion & we had so much fun! We had a group of 8 plus our 2 guides & the photographer. We got to look around Puerto Vallarta & see so much of it. It had been sprinkling off & on throughout the day so we didn't get very dirty at all besides some mud from a mud puddle my husband decided to floor it through. Lol. Just took the jungle trek today and it was AMAZING. We had a blast with our guides and they are super personable and are very attentive to safety. At one point, the woman in front of us was driving really slow and dangerously randomly stopping, so one of the guys held us back so we could actually get some good riding in :). For the price, this was a good deal. They accommodated is early on by giving us an automatic Jeep vs the ATV we paid for because a driver in our group did not feel comfortable driving stick. (We had 10 people in our group.). It was fun driving through the streets and jungle. They really tried to push us to purchase the pictures/videos someone from their staff was taking. Good thing is you can negotiate. We did the zip lining part of it as well which was a lot of fun. In addition to being pushed to buy the pictures and videos, we also had to wait for others to eat lunch while we did the tequila tasting. That caused us to spend an extra 1/2 hour just waiting around for them. Probably wouldn't do it again, but I'm glad I did. read more

We were so impressed! After missing our scheduled tour, due to a time difference, we were quickly rebooked for the afternoon tour. The first stop was at a cute hideaway retreat/restaurant, we jumped into the pool formed by water cascading over rocks, and swam with the fish. Later, when everyone else went to the tequila tasting, we were given our own private tour (we don't drink) and taken to an excellent restaurant. When we landings we would like to do some local shopping Juan, our guide, took us to a couple of small street vendors. My only disappointment was we didn't really get wet on the ATVs - but we did get to go swimming! read more
