Can you spell FUN. Great adventure, you drive through town, creeks, and the forest. It was a great fun adventure. Highly would recommend this.

Super fun experience!! Wasn't sure what to expect. But our dune buggy guide was super cool!! We visited on Aug 28th for our 10 wedding anniversary! Had only 2 other couples with us, so it was pretty exclusive! Don't wear white (maybe obvious, but just in case you forget, like I did)! You will get a little wet and muddy. They give you partial bandanas in case you forget to bring yours--we didn't. We rode the dune buggy at a Super fun fast pace--probably wouldn't be allowed in the states. Then we stopped for zip lining at El Eden -- we were the only couple that diff this while the others had a beer tasting stop. Then we headed to Tequila tasting. The coffee liqueur was actually tasty!! From there we went to a lunch spot. The food was delish!!! Definitely will come back so our son can enjoy the dune buggy!!

Just did this with my Fiancée. We each had our own quad. She had never ridden one before, so I was a little worried and giving her the breakdown. They were all semi automatic, so you didn't even need to change gears; super simple. This was a great trip if you are into off-roading. The streets out there are very rough, and the rest is dirt roads, also rough. I went to scratch my nose once and almost got thrown off my quad. I am an experienced rider too. So as long as you aren't expecting a slow cruise through a city, you'll be fine. First we went to this place way out where they had pools, waterfalls, little café. it was in the middle of nowhere almost in the forest. Beautiful!, but there are spiders EVERYWHERE. So if you are scared this will probably make you nervous. It's the jungle and they are way out there. After that we went to the Tequila tasting. The was cool, and the tequila is good too. They have a killer view from up where they are, so check it out. The people were nice, we even ended up buying some tequila. After this, we went into town a bit and got food. Cool little place overlooking the river, The food was decent, and it was perfect time to eating because we were out all morning. Then we finally headed back. This was an awesome little tour. I would recommend it to anyone. My fiancée who had never ridden a quad before loved this. The staff is awesome, didn't matter we didn't speak any Spanish. We would definitely do this again.

Great tour--the guides made it fun while making you feel safe. The instructions were easy and quick, so it gave you more time to enjoy the activity! Great pit stops for drinks, food, tequila, mini waterfall jungle experience..all those stops were on your own charges. Tour gave you so Free time at each stop to take it all in. Overall great fun and reasonably priced!

BEST ADVENTURE EVER!! Y'all! I DO NOT EVEN know where to begin!! Me and my daughters loved the Rio Cuale ATV Tour so much!! I'm always hesitant about booking group tours because we've had a bad experience or two in the past! Well, not this time! Victor was our "shining star" tour guide and David came a close second! We loved the hand signals, waving and sharing 'holas' to everyone we passed in the towns, and loved pressing the gas and going fast. We saw so many beautiful sights and felt pretty cool in our helmets and bandanas. Victor and the team made sure we laughed (lots), we were sung to, we had someone to jump from the small cliff into the watering hole with, and just always did cheerful check-ins to ensure we were happy girls!! (We were and stayed that way the entire time!) There are several stops for snacks and tequila tasting! You NEED cash for drinks/goodies. Otherwise, at the 3rd stop, the restaurant, you can use your card and for bottles of the most delish natural tequila you can use your card as well! This tour felt authentic and just flew by!! We NEVER stopped smiling and experiencing our off road journey in PV!! We cannot wait to return and take a longer tour with the next level ATV skills! Victor, David and team....we thank you and we'll see y'all again soon!

This was the best experience! Staff allowed or a safe and fun experience! It was reasonably priced and so much fun!

Tour said you stop to swim... they gave us 30 seconds st the waterfall to buy pictures. No swimming or hammocks at all.

I'm a super planner. I plan out my travel days to be exactly what I want. So when I book a tour to get certain features, I'm super upset when I don't get it. The tour I purchased was much different than what was advertised. The can ams were fun. The zip lines were so awesome!! But the extra time to swim and enjoy the waterfalls and the hammocks throughout the area?? There was absolutely none of that. I packed around towels and bathing suits for the swim to "refresh" for 4 hours and was forced to either go tequila tasting or to eat at a restaurant instead. They just wanted you to spend money with their partners and not enjoy what you already paid to do. So our 4 hour tour ended up being roughly 1.5 hours on can ams, 1 hour on zip lines, and 2.5 hours waiting to leave cuz we didn't want food or tequila. Boo!!!!

I don't feel quite right about giving our experience five stars because, unfortunately, due to a slight injury, we were unable to take the complete tour. Don't worry, though - Mr. P is totally fine now and fully realizes he's not Tarzan. We signed up for a dune buggy tour and, as it turned out, we got a private tour. Pro Tip: find out when the cruise ships are coming for their excursions and don't schedule your adventure on those days. After our intrepid guide, David, gave us a 30 second dune buggy driving lesson, we were off. We drove through the streets of Old Town Vallarta and up along the coast of beautiful Banderas Bay, past some gorgeous cliffside homes and Los Arcos National Marine Park. Our fun photographer, Pepe, took photos and videos of us and the scenery along the way. As soon as we turned off the paved road, things got very dusty very quickly. Pro Tip: wear clothes you won't be wearing for the rest of your trip, unless you have access to a washing machine (I am not kidding about this!). We drove through a little village and then farther up the road into the jungle where we arrived El Eden and the set of the movie "Predator." We walked around there for a while, took some silly photos, and enjoyed the lovely waterfall. After Mr. P dislocated his finger doing his George of the Jungle impression from the rope swing, we had to cut the day short to seek medical attention. Sadly, we missed out on the tequila tasting and lunch. We appreciated all of David's and Pepe's understanding and assistance in getting us back to civilization before our tour was over, even though they both were obviously disappointed. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour company to anyone looking to experience more of Vallarta than you otherwise would walking around in town or lazing at the beach. And if you see mi amigo Rolando on the beach selling tours, tell him I said hola!

    Monique C.

We had so much fun; wish we would have come when it was wet out doors but it was fun. Got to get a good tori of the inner city. Did a tequila tasting. The tour guide was really nice. I'd recommend doing this tour

I appreciated having the crew explain how to operate the ATV, safety advice, and how they followed along with the riders making sure we were all OK and taking photos & videos. The ATVs were well-maintained and in good working order. We had no breakdowns or operational issues among our tour group. We enjoyed the views and the stops along the way where we got to try making tortillas, and having a snack by the cool creek. We also stopped for a tequila tasting, which was informative and fun. The tour started at the Estigo facility in town and we were escorted out of town by the Estigo guides. It's a bit bumpy riding in town on cobblestone roads, but as soon as we were out of town it was smooth riding. We did a morning tour, so I struggled with sunlight in my eyes, which proved to be a bit concerning when rounding corners as we headed up the hills leaving town. I admit to white-knuckling the early part of the ride. Once we were in the foothills, I was able to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I booked this tour on my own through the Estigo website, which made it a much better value than one of the cruise ship excursions. We also had a smaller group and just took a cab from the cruise port to Estigo's faculty. I definitely recommend Estigo if you are looking for a fun activity when visiting Puerto Vallarta!

We were provided with neck gaiters, goggles and helmets. This was a private tour, so just two of us and our guide and a photographer/videographer. (NOTE - make sure you take some photos of your own along the way). So much better than a slow dusty caravan of the group tours. Then, off we went! The first bit of the ride is through city streets to get to the road up the mountain. The cobblestones of PVR gave way to dirt roads and some paved areas at smaller towns along the way. After an hour or so, we stopped at a small bar/restaurant and enjoyed a beverage by a waterfall. We had a great conversation with Agustina about traveling. The road up the mountains has some holes and some puddles so you have to pay attention, and we occasionally encountered some traffic (mostly other ATV tours or buses) and a bull, a donkey, a cat, and several dogs. The speed bumps in the residential areas can sneak up on you, too! The views of the mountains are beautiful and you spend a lot of time running along the Cuale River. We always felt safe and Augustina was a fabulous leader!! When we returned to the office, the videographer had compiled our video and photos to review on the computer. The price was a bit silly $1500 pesos ($100US) for either the photos or the video, $2000 pesos for both. So, we passed on that. We have already recommended the tour to fellow travelers and would even take the same tour again ourselves. Highly recommend!!

This is an HONEST review. From really pissed off customers. (Group of 4)…read moreI really wanted to tear these guys down.... But The Guides pulled me out of my rage. Reason for the RAGE you ask??? I will tell you Quick fill in.... We purchased the tickets from a VALLARTA ADVENTURES booth while in town. 4 people at $44 each = $176. The sales lady only wants $100 cash and I am to pay the remainder once we get to the location. All of this information is on my recipe. Purchased the 10am start time / slot. We are to be picked up at 9:45am, but told to arrive 15minutes early. So we did. 10:05am rolls around, we start to panic, so we call the # ..... "Your driver will be there soon" WILL HE BE IN THE PREDATOR BUS WE HAVE SEEN AROUND TOWN?? "Yes, he just passed your stop" Driver arrives 10:10 ish in a little beat up van and proceeded to tell us that WE WERE LATE. He takes my ticket/recipe and immediately starts trying to get $$ out of me. I say NO, I will pay once I get to the location.... We proceed to argue for another 10 minutes...... It's now around 1030am..... We then start to drive and he pulls over. Gets out and calls someone. Gets in and starts demanding cash. We again get into it. He backs off after I tell him, I'm not doing Any business with a driver! I'm about to get out and cancel. Over the next 1.45 hour we pick up 7 or 8 other people on this tour...... 2.5 hours later (1220ish). we arrive at Eden and I'm ready to beat this MFr all the way back to town. He knows it, hell every person in the van does. From the second we got to Eden we were rushed. We got 20 seconds at the chopper location. Shoved directly into the gear required and I made a comment or two. The guides pick up on the NEGATIVE energy and start to do damage control. This driver must be a problem cause they say something like... "Don't be mad at us, we just work with that guy" We proceed to have an AMAZING 45 minutes of zipping through the jungle. 10 lines that was the perfect length and height for my rookie kids. My partner and I on the other hand... We have done some big zips... And this was a disappointment for us. No upside down, no repelling, no waterslide.... Just 10 simple Ziplines. This is more of a jungle HIKE with a couple zips in-between. It was super Hot and humid. We are dripping sweat from every pore. (3 groups together). We are all talking about the pool. I want to point out how professional our 3 guides were and how quickly they got me (and my family group) back into FUN mode from HULK SMASH mode. We wrap up the Zipline and I kid you not, the moment we get unhooked from the zip, the photographer is on me..... I tell him to BTFU, I am Hot and I just want in the pool.... Another small fight starts and I tell him, I'm not interested in anything if he says another word to me. We proceed to swim, but again being rushed. The brochure says we get time for swimming, food, photos and to see the Predator movie set. Nope.... We had 20 minutes tops before that same Fing driver was rushing our group back to the van. I only got to see 2 of the movie locations. I got 75 pictures of my family for $75 The only upside to being rushed. I was able to basically name my price. $1 a pic VS $4 that he wanted. I wanted to 1star this place, burn it down. But the rest of the staff went out of their way to damage control.... And it worked. I'm not so sure that everyone experiences this, but I am Still massively disappointed. Sadly, I will probably never get the opportunity to see the movie set again. I have a 12" Predator Tattooed on my arm. My favorite villain. I wanted this to be amazing. Instead I'm venting on Yelp

If I could give negative stars, I seriously would. This is one of the worst experiences that I…read morehave ever had with both diving and customer service. We were in Puerto Vallarta over Christmas where my 17-year-old son was going to do his open water certification. He did his first 2 dives with Silent World Divers (who, by the way, are AMAZING: professional, gracious, honest: everything Chico's is not) but was not feeling well on the scheduled second day. We scrambled to find another SSI dive shop, and Chicos said that they could take him for his third and fourth certification dives. We clarified that with them both on the phone and it was clearly written on the receipt when we gave them our money. Then ensued a comedy (or, rather, tragedy) of errors. We were told to go down to the peer and look for Eric on the Chicos boat. We could not find the boat, but overheard some other people talking about Chico's and they turned out to be other divers on her trip also looking for the boat. We finally found the boat, and after we had left the pier the sole dive instructor on the boat introduced himself as Raul. I quickly piped up and said, "I thought we were diving with Eric." "Eric's not coming," Raul replied. I explained that my son needed to get his SSI certification, and Raul said that that would not be possible because he himself was not an SSI instructor. Eric was the only SSI instructor at the shop. Raul then said that my son was welcome to dive, even though he wasn't yet certified, wouldn't get certified, and there were four other divers (in addition to us, at various levels of training/certification) also on the boat. I protested, as we were leaving in a couple of days to fly back to the Pacific Northwest and this was my son's one shot to get certified. Then Raul offered to have Eric sign my son's checkout form, even though Eric was not on the boat and would not have witnessed any of my son's skills. I I observed that that was terribly unprofessional, and after some further back-and-forth we requested to go back to the dock without diving. I would have been willing to chalk that up to an unfortunate misunderstanding, except that when we went back to the dive shop to get our money back they refused to refund it. We spoke to Eric on the phone, who said that we had been given an option of diving, but that it had been our decision not to proceed. I reviewed multiple times that we had specifically signed up for SSI certification and that they were unable to provide that, but he steadfastly refused to refund the money for the dive we never did. I am a very kind person, and it takes a lot for me to lose my temper. I probably raise my voice once every 2 or 3 years, and this was the once every 2 or 3 years. I was very forceful and saying that if he did not refund my money, that I would write negative reviews on every review site that I could find documenting what happened that day. He finally relented, and told me that I would need to come back to the dive shop (which was very distant from where we are staying) in a few hours when he was able to get there. I pushed back again saying that that was not the way we wanted to spend our vacation, and this led to an approximately 1 month ordeal of back-and-forth and supposed transfers of money that finally came through a couple of days ago. So I would say that if you do not value safety, honesty, or integrity, you might want to dive with Chicos. Otherwise, go with Silent World.

We booked this with our hotel, Villa Del Palmar. Was a bit apprehensive after reading reviews but…read morefelt we would give it a try. Arrived early at the pier and spoke with two of the boat taxi guys who said they would let the dive shop know when they arrived. Right on time Eric and one other gentleman showed up to offload gear and park their truck. Walked us down to the boat and off we went. We had an excellent time and Eric did a great job with us. Give them a try.

Unforgettable Whale Watching Experience with Carlos!…read more Carlos and his whale watching group were absolutely amazing! We saw a ton of whales, including incredible head pop-ups that took our breath away. Carlos and his team are extremely knowledgeable and shared so much insight about the whales and their behavior, which made the experience even more special. What really stood out was their deep respect for the environment and the animals. They clearly prioritize responsible, ethical whale watching, which is the most important thing. You can tell they truly care about protecting these magnificent creatures. If you're looking for an unforgettable, respectful, and educational whale watching experience, i highly recommend.

We hired Eco Explorer out of the Puerto Vallarta Marina. First off, I read hundreds of review about…read moregoing to Playa del Amor as I am a very weak swimmer. I booked mine through Viator and used Eco Explorer because they had so many positive rating from scared ppl like me. Take bonnie and/or Dramamine!!!!! I am extremely prone to seasickness and took it. We arrived at their office at the marina at 8:30 since we like to be early. We were fitted with fins. Charlie/Carlos was a great host. Talking to us about the area, where he was from, etc. Charlie is so knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. Yellow footed boobies were diving for fish at our wake. It was so beautiful!! The day we went, the ocean was like glass. However, when we arrived at the island that has lovers' beach, the tide was too high. Charlie suggested we snorkel around. To tell you the truth, the boats made the waves a bit choppy, and I was scared. I told Charlie this and he legit towed me around, while pointing out magnificent sea life. We even saw an octopus. Then, because I started to feel sick in the water, I popped my head up, puked for a while and felt better. When I went back in, I was surrounded by fish!!!! Charlie towed me about again and I saw a second octopus... or maybe the same one. I saw so many beautiful fish. My husband is usually the one who tows me about, but I am glad I was with Charlie because he was so good at pointing out all the sea life. It is very clear that these guys love the ocean and know this bay very well. They really are experts. The other guide, Ricardo, was so great at watching out for the other members of our group. My husband is a very strong swimmer and certified master diver, so he got to enjoy the activity. We got back on the boat and saw blue footed boobies!!!! They are adorable! Mexico is such a wonderful place! When it was time to swim to Playa del Amor, Charlie towed me in again. This is the tricky part. Y'all have to listen to the guides. When they say float and relax, listen. When they say kick, you gotta do it. All will be well if you listen to your guide. Know that you are wearing a life vest and a helmet and nothing will happen to you. However, know that this cave entrance is a challenging swim. Even my husband said he doubted he could have towed me in. We had more than enough time to take photos, enjoy the view, and mess around. We did not feel rushed at all! On the way back, Charlie towed me again. Back on the boat, they gave us some basic, but yummy, sandwiches. On the way back, we saw dolphins!!! They were feeding and we would see them pop up. There were no babies jumping out of the water and playing, but a lot of adults popping up. Then, Capt. Erik pointed out whale that were slapping the water, blowing, and slapping their tails. We watched them from afar as it is not whale watching season and the guides wanted to stay away as not to disturb them. Everyone at the boat had more than enough time to watch the whales from a respectful distance. The way home was great and peaceful. If I had to change something, it would be that I would practice swimming more before this trip. We will bring our 18 year old back here and only hire Eco Explorer. Note: these guys ensure our safety and enjoyment! Please make sure you tip them!!!! -Brian and Sherry Read more about - Marietas Islands Snorkel Tour & Hidden Beach

For a fun filled day away from the beach consider zip-lining with Canopy Indio. Our guides, Ricki…read more(Ricardo) and Jorge were helpful, enjoyable and made sure we had a good time. I have been on several zip lines and this one is good, primarily because Ricki changed it up. Some of group, including me went upside down or like superman flying through the trees. Or if you'd prefer, you can just hold on to the steering/braking handles and let her rip. There are 9 lines and it takes about 1 hour 20 minutes for all of them. At about $40 US, everyone in my group loved the morning. There was a tequila tasting afterwards which was informative and interesting. When I checked prices in town, they were much cheaper than what was offered here. The restaurant is mediocre; They will encourage you to have a full lunch at 300 + pesos - too much food and money for my lunch meal. Most of the zip lines were scenic as you zip through and over trees with the river and rocks below. There is strenuous hiking involved on the first 7 lines. Photographer available who will try to sell you memories of your trip. Some tips. - Bring insect repellent - Wear closed toed shoes or hiking boots - Wear long shorts or pants so the harness fits over them and not your bare legs. - Drink water - water is provided at two places on the trail. Drink it -it gets hot and humid in the canopy - Lockers provided if you want to store your stuff while you are zip lining - Go early in the day - less crowded
