Amazing experience 10/10 recommend!! Amazing private tour from Edson he took amazing care of us, I went my 2 girl friends and he made us feel very safe. We were first time riders and he gives thorough instructions and guides you greatly along the whole ride. If you have any complications, he is there to assist immediately. You spend time going through the towns, the mountains with a few fun stops. I say take full advantages of the rivers, jump in and have some fun! We got a drink, and bought a few tequila bottles. If I ever went back I would do it all over again with Edson!
We did a private tour with Sergio and were impressed with the tour overall. Stopping by a river with a small waterfall where you can jump in the fresh water and drink a cold beer. Then we made our way up to 3,000 feet where we were able to take in the breathtaking views. Finished off with some lunch and tequila tasting, it was a great time.
The Xiutla Riders are perhaps the best adventure company in Vallarta. They provide excellent services. For everything from surf lessons to scooter rentals. They are a small operation, so they can provide personalized service with a smile! They are attentive, they know the area where they work like the back of their hand. They operate with a kind and friendly attitude, never an upsell, never impatient with you. The entire staff puts you at ease immediately. Their prices are more than reasonable. They have a restaurant up in the hills called The Cocina del Cuale where you can stop and have lunch. Muy delicioso. Adventures in Vallarta? Choose Xiutla. They will dance you outside!!
We had an awesome time on our atv tour, it was the highlight of our trip. Guide Marco was great and made us feel safe, even riding through the streets of PV. Never felt rushed or pressured. At the last minute we had to reschedule our tour, and they worked with us to get a different time/date, no problem. Yes the atv's are a bit old and janky, but worked well enough.
Our group of 8 did the four hour tour up the mountain. Our tour guides Edson, and Martin were fabulous . Safety was their number one concern through downtown traffic and up in the mountains. Views were amazing. I would give them 10 stars but five stars was the max. If you're looking for a nice day trip this is a tour to take. Thanks guys for a great adventure!!!!
Great experience from start to finish. They greeted us curbside with smiles, excitement and hospitality. The check in process was clear and easy. They provided us everything we needed, helmets, goggles, dust masks. The tour was wonderful! They gave us the basics of riding and offered to go at our own pace. We felt so safe the whole time. We have two people with us, the guide, Juan and photographer Roberto. Juan led us safely through the city and the trails. Roberto ran ahead and made sure traffic was stopped at intersections. Made us feel so safe! Juan was amazing. He stopped numerous times to show us things and get drinks, water, etc! Bonus, everyone Spoke English and Spanish based on our preference. I would highly recommend this tour.
This tour was Great!! My only (minor) complaint was mostly my fault. If you want to stop for photos,you have to be aggressive and signal the tour guide - Who is in front of you. If you don't signal them, they won't know to stop. But as I said...mostly my fault. Before you start, they will let you get familiar with the ATV's and make sure that you are able to control it well (Don't worry - It's easy) As for the tour - IT WAS A BLAST!! You get to see some parts of Puerto Vallarta - including Gringo Gulch and the Lighthouse, then you continue on to the mountain trails. The scenery in the Sierra Madre Mountains is breathtaking!! The trails are in fairly decent shape, but note that failure to control the ATV could have deadly consequences...Some of the drop-offs are 100's of feet deep. If you feel that you need to slow down, remember that this is a Private Tour - YOU set the pace!! Please keep in mind that during dry season or dry days anytime, you may need goggles and/or face masks for the dust. If you have Asthma or other breathing disorders, keep this in mind. Best advice - enjoy the ride and HAVE FUN!!
I will start by saying: Black people don't do things like this. Moving on, I grew up in the country and rode ATVs while growing up - one of the few. My gf, she was born and raised in Miami FL. She's never rode an ATV and never cared to. For starters we arrived late due to a bad Uber pickup. CoCo, our new favorite Frenchman, waited for us to get there even though we were late. He did a great job at explaining how to operate the ATV for my gf and really took the whole tour at her pace. To my surprise, she actually rode very well and wasn't that nervous (I credit CoCo). From jumping in a waterfall, talking to CoCo about our life and learning about his, to going to the mountain top and coco scaling the side to take a photo of of us, to having a scenic view if the city - we ended up having a blast! Thanks for the amazing experience man!
This tour was WONDERFUL!! Our guide, Agustina, spent time up front with us making sure we were comfortable with how to operate the ATVs safely and with her hand signals. We were provided with neck gaiters, goggles and helmets. This was a private tour, so just two of us and our guide and a photographer/videographer. (NOTE - make sure you take some photos of your own along the way). So much better than a slow dusty caravan of the group tours. Then, off we went! The first bit of the ride is through city streets to get to the road up the mountain. The cobblestones of PVR gave way to dirt roads and some paved areas at smaller towns along the way. After an hour or so, we stopped at a small bar/restaurant and enjoyed a beverage by a waterfall. We had a great conversation with Agustina about traveling. The road up the mountains has some holes and some puddles so you have to pay attention, and we occasionally encountered some traffic (mostly other ATV tours or buses) and a bull, a donkey, a cat, and several dogs. The speed bumps in the residential areas can sneak up on you, too! The views of the mountains are beautiful and you spend a lot of time running along the Cuale River. We always felt safe and Augustina was a fabulous leader!! When we returned to the office, the videographer had compiled our video and photos to review on the computer. The price was a bit silly $1500 pesos ($100US) for either the photos or the video, $2000 pesos for both. So, we passed on that. We have already recommended the tour to fellow travelers and would even take the same tour again ourselves. Highly recommend!! read more

Xiutla Riders was an incredible time ! Our guide Sergio was the freakin man! He was funny and super laidback. His instructions were clear and easy to follow. It put first timers like us at ease. We first traveled through town and small communities. We made our first stop at a restaurant alongside the water to jump in and have margaritas! After that we went up a mountain and got some great photos opportunities. Finally we stopped at a lunch spot where they offered tequila tasting and lunch. We enjoyed the chipotle chicken. I booked the private ATV Tour of Everything Puerta Vallarta (3 hours) with a group of four. We had some newbies(I was one of them) and a couple of veterans and Edson was super patient with teaching us and making sure we were safe. During our adventure, we started in an open street and drove past villages, alleys and a couple rivers. Towards the Sierra Madre Jungle, we stopped by Rancho Mi Abuelo, and grabbed some margaritas and Pulpas Tacos. Ranch Mi Abuelo is a family-owned Ranch and they provided a demonstration of how to freshly make tortillas and salsa and Pablo( I think that was his name...or maybe Poncho?) gave us a Tequila tasting. Everyone was friendly, the food was delicious, the salsa was flavorful and the Tequila was smooth. For the return ride, we drove past a couple dirt puddles since our group didn't get that dusty/dirty. I really enjoyed touring around the beautiful city and seeing all the locals. I highly recommend this tour and I booked it through Aviator since I never knew about Xiutla Riders until now. Maybe I'll try to book with them directly next time. read more

Oh my goodness! This was so much fun!!!! Our family of 4 had a blast! We rented 2 double ATV's. The views were gorgeous and the stops were really unique! Megan, our guide, was amazing!!!! We look forward to coming back and requesting to ride with her again! read more

Edson was such a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and patient when it came to showing us how to properly handle an atv. Keep in mind I've never been on one before but I felt pretty confident after getting a lesson on how to maneuver it. 10/10 recommend!! read more

My boyfriend and I booked a private tour of the mountains with Xiutla Riders a day or two before our excursion with them. I thought that one of their trips included the tour of the Jorullo Bridge, but I was misinformed online--totally my bad. I didn't realize this until the day before when one of the staff reached out to me via Whatsapp informing me that they don't do tours there because that bridge is owned and managed by a different company (Canopy River). Fernando (the owner) was so kind to keep my request in mind and gave us the option to drive up there on the ATVs and pay separately to go on the bridge. Yes, you can customize your trip if time permits! I was so happy that we were able to fit that into our itinerary. The highlight of the trip was really stopping by each place and almost having the entire place to ourselves the entire time. Our guide, Juan, was alright. I've had better tour guides. He wasn't particularly enthusiastic or eager to show us around, but he was accommodating and helpful. I think a big part of the experience is having a fun tour guide who is excited and enthusiastic. The lack of that was slightly disappointing, but I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt--perhaps he was just having a rough morning? I would recommend booking a tour with Xiutla Riders because communication with Fernando is excellent and we had a great time despite the so-so tour guide. Hopefully others have a similar or better experience with them! read more

My fiance and I rode with Sergio today on our private tour. When I say this was the best thing I've ever done, I mean it. If you're looking for the best deal with the best experience this is it. I recommend the 9 am so it is not as hot. We drove up to the first stop which was a little bar and waterfall with pools. Went for a swim and grabbed a drink. Then drove to a picture spot with a great view. After that we stopped for free tequila tasting and grabbed a bite to eat along side a little river restaurant that was amazing food and very nice people. Along the way we got to see so much of what PV had to offer, driving through the back streets. Then we started the offloading parts. The cameraman got lots of nice pictures for us, driving through the rivers and puddles. We were surrounded by butterflies and big beautiful mountains. Got to see lots of dogs and culture of the city. Prices for the pictures were a little steep, but we chose the full package and got all of our pictures for around 100 USD extra. Overall great experience. read more

Fun in the sun! Great tour! Juan and Jan led our group of 8 to Eden and Boca de Tomatlán. It was a good distance from where we started so you definitely get to ride most of the time. Our guides were very friendly and attentive. I've been on other ATV tours in Vallarta but this was by far the best. It's a smaller company so you will not have to deal with them trying to sell you pictures at the end or merchandise. It was laid back and made us all just enjoy our time. Definitely coming back next time in PV. read more

The Xiutla Riders are the best adventure tour operators in Vallarta. I say this not because they are the biggest, or they have the most equipment. I say this because they are expert at providing the best service in adventures. Specializing in small groups. They know the lay of the land like the back of their hand, and they know so many of the people who you will meet along the way. Everybody says "Hola FER! Jota ! Agus, JC...Como estas amigos" They are personable, they make you feel at home, there is always good natured humour when you are with The Riders. For a great adventure, go with The Xiutla Riders...from La Lancha down south to Cabo Corrientes, in to Eden and the hot springs in Ejido Jorullo. and all points in between. All around Bahia de Banderas. While on vacay in Dulce Vallarta, check in with "The Riders". Go for a ride. They will dance you outside ! read more

Our private ATV tour with Fernando as our guide allowed us to finally escape the tourist traps and see the hidden beauty of Vallarta. Fernando led us away from the congested streets up into the hills for a view of the entire city and ocean. He knew he best photo ops for us. Then we rode on the highway to Los Arcos and then to Boca for lunch on the beachfront. We had extra time and rode to the breathtakingly beautiful Chicos Paradise and then back to the Romantic area. We liked that Fernando paced the tour to our comfort levels and interests. He was very relaxed and didn't try to sell us anything. His English was excellent and we enjoyed asking him all our questions about local life. The open air ride was beautiful and met our need for adventure. My husband and I both agree- next time we are in Vallarta we will be back for another tour with Fernando! It was a 100% enjoyable day. read more

Wow wow wow! My boyfriend and I had such a blast on this ATV tour! Emelie was our guide - she was cool and fun! We stopped at the little restaurant for a bit but mostly just ATV'd the back trails (the old road to Guadalajara). We road alongside the river which made for great views the whole trip. Riding thru town was easy (even with traffic) and also beautiful. We stopped at the lighthouse on the way back which has incredible views of the city, highly recommend. Honestly, we couldn't recommend this company more. Fernando, the owner, was helpful and made the whole experience effortless from start to finish. If you want to go to ATVing in Varrarta this is the company you want to use! You get a private tour at comparable pricing to the group tours!!! Our day was everything and more! :) EPIC!!! read more

Seeing Puerto Vallarta via ATVs is the best, no make that the ONLY, way to see the City and surrounding areas. Fernando speaks perfect English and was a wonderful host. We will definitely use him again in the future and took several of his cards to pass out at our hotel. The fact that the company is locally owned so helps the local economy is an added bonus. I cannot begin to stress what a wonderful day we had. My family and I have traveled all over the world and this is probably one of the best side trip excursions we've ever taken. The day started out riding the cobblestone streets in Puerto Vallarta and seeing how the rich and the poor lived. Then we went off road into the jungle and all kinds of twists and turns with a fun pit stop at a bar. Great laughter all around. We ended the day high above the city watching the sunset over the ocean. Two thumbs up! read more

Great experience! My boyfriend and I did an ATV tour through the back roads of PV. Each of us had our own. My BF doesn't drive and was able to manuever this thing around like a pro. I was nervous at first but Felt like a pro after driving through downtown and old town just to head up to the rainforest. Our guide, Coco, was so awesome and brought us To the top of the rainforest. We jumped in a waterfall area, had a beer and handmade quesadilla (SO GOOD). This was the best excursion we did because it was at our own pace and having it be private made it more of a personalized experience. We actually wanted to book it again for a more intermediate level bc we loved it much. Highly suggest it! read more

One of the best experiences ever! I came here to do a private ATV tour for my friend's birthday weekend. We had Juan as our tour guide, who was fantastic! Half the group had experience and the other half didn't. Juan made us all feel very comfortable and let us go at our own pace. We went around so many gorgeous areas and had the best photo ops. Juan even climbed up the side of the mountain for a good shot of the backdrop. At the top of the jungle there was a resting area and we got some beers which was a nice break, got to relax and get to know Juan a little better. It was nice that he was the same age as the group and gave us good recommendations to check out during our stay. On the way back, we were all a lot more comfortable with the ATVs and started picking up more speed. Last stop was at a lighthouse for the view of the sunset. It was beautiful and you can see the entire city. I'll definitely do another tour whenever I'm back here and highly recommend this to everyone! You won't be disappointed! read more

We went on a tour with Co Co. He was super cool and took us to some great sites. Definitely the highlight of our trip. I will send everyone I know who visits PV here. Loved the products in the store too, shirts, keychains, etc... this is the best way to see PV. Can't wait to go back! read more
