My BMW decided to break down on me last weekend, all the way in union city. I didn't think twice, I called my insurance and asked them to tow it to unique. These guys were again very fast and efficient in detecting the problem and fixing my car. I The shop is clean and they have a nice waiting are with a plasma tv so you don't get too bored if you have to wait a bit...All in all I am extremely pleased, Humberto even showed me the parts that he removed from my car (which were all either broken or melted...FML) and my car was up and running again. read more

I had a check engine light on my 2003 Subaru Impreza, turned out to be failed Head Gaskets causing 2 of my cylinders to misfire. Subaru wanted to charge me $2800 for the fix. We all know that they'll always find more once they get in there and will charge you outrageous amounts for that. I called up Unique Automotive and got a quote for the same work, turned out that I was able to get the head gaskets and the additional work done all for less than Subaru wanted to charge. So I walked in the shop not expecting anything and as soon as I steped in, I was welcomed. Humberto was very helpful and very professional and knowledgable. He assessed my car and took it right away. The very important thing he asked me if I have a ride going home which is a A++ for a customer service. He kept me posted and e-mailed me with the prices of parts and labor. On top of that he hook me up with a free oil change and suggested further repair that needed to be done in the future. All in all I have a good experience with theses guys and I can trust them working on my BMW 325. Worst Customer Service EVER! What do you expect from a Automotive Body Shop when you walk in???? First time i called this Place this guy Joazinho ( John) treated me fine and talking about the problem my car was having he asked me to swing by , then , he could check for me... I was supposed to swing by in the same day we talked over the phone but the problem my car was having disappeared so... I didn't show up. 2 weeks later my car started to have a problem with transmission module sensor and I decided to call him again to talk about the problem but I didn't know he was pissed with me because I didn't show up even I said : I'll try to stop by ... Didn't make any appointment or asked him to wait for me... Anyways... I started the conversation with him and even in the beginning he was not very nice... Then he asked me how I knew the problem then very calm I explained to him that my friend did the scam for me and gave me the diagnostic so... He started to talk to me in a way that made me kind thing: what's wrong with this way??? So... I asked him... When can I stop by to check what's going on with the car? because I will have kids in the car and as soon I said that he said it was not allowed I go with Kids to his Body Shop and told me to rent a car and leave the car for all day long. WTF???? Rent a car just to check whats the problem and gime me the estimate? Then ,I told him I couldn't do that because I will spend a lot money for some he can do in 10minut and he said: I can't look your car if you can not leave here for all day and if you decided to do not do the service I'll charge you for what I checked.... After talk to him I called my BF and said to him : Hey... This guy is very rude , he told me to rent a car and said I can't go with the kids then my BF said he maybe was busy or having some problem and that I should give him a chance and try to go there in person instead call him, so I did... Today I asked to get off earlier and decided to drive there, WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!!!! I asked my Bf for the address n walked in with my car. When I got there nobody came to me asking if they could help me so.. I decided to look for the person my Bf said( Joaozinho) ... I figured who was Joazinho and walked in his direction and gave him my hands saying: Hi, how are you?? The guy looked at me and said: My hands are dirty!!! Hum...... I didn't mind and said : hey I called you 2 weeks ago about my car's problem and I would like you do the estimated to replace the thermostat because the check engine light is on and I just came from the dealer with all the diagnostic and he asked me to wait inside the car while he finish to working in another car . I went inside my car n waited for exactly 45minut.... Yes, 45 minut inside a car waiting for a estimate then when I asked him if he could do the estimate because I needed to drive back to the city he said: I can't stop what I'm doing just because you want , come back later!!!! I was pissed because this guy made me wait almost 1 hour to do a F$&$&$ estimate for later This guy just say: I can't ??? Wtf? What a terrible customer service over the phone and terrible customer treatment ! I will never, EVER go back to this place . The guy is a such asshole!!!!!! Wonderful! I had a BMW Mechanic in the South Bay for years. My daughter - inlaw advised me to take my car to their mechanic, just give him a try.
