They treated me like a person, not like a dollar sign like other places I've seen, and I genuinely appreciated the extra care, especially when they replaced my tires even though they didn't have to. David was professional and quick with communication throughout the process. Extremely Disappointed - Poor Communication and Unresolved Issues I brought in my Tesla Model Y to have the rear wheel, alignment, and bumper addressed. I made it very clear to the GM that I wanted to postpone the bumper repair due to a small dent and because my car is fully wrapped -- I didn't want to rewrap the entire vehicle just for one panel. I specifically asked for an estimate for the bumper only so I could submit it to insurance and handle it later. The GM assured me everything would be fine. Instead, without my consent, the bumper was repaired anyway at their sister company. When I followed up, their team claimed they had no communication about my request to leave the bumper alone. This is unacceptable. Before leaving the country, I asked a service member to escalate this to management and told them I'd be back July 10th. I was promised someone would follow up when I returned. It's now well past that date no call, no email, no accountability. To make matters worse, although the bumper and wheel look fine, my car still isn't driving straight. It only had 4,000 miles when I brought it in. Now I'm stuck paying out of pocket to rewrap my entire vehicle because the new bumper wrap doesn't match the rest. A simple request was ignored, and now I'm left with unnecessary costs and an unresolved alignment issue. Absolutely unacceptable service and communication. read more

Leading the team is their office manager who has the waiting area smartly furnished with coffees and teas and great decorations. Comfy chairs and plenty of space if there might be a wait. Updated Oct 29, 2022: the general manager Chris Kim called me on Thursday (Oct 27th) to let me know my car could be ready for pick up that afternoon or Friday morning, earlier than originally quoted, though I didn't know that. He was concerned about my initial impression of the location and we chatted about my experiences. He said after reading my review he talked with the receptionist about it. I thought she maybe needed more training, or maybe he could find someone who was already friendly and helpful. The other woman who tried to have me sign an illegible page as well as one that said I'd be charged for a full tank of gas at $6/gal apparently was a loaner employee from another caliber collision center (I'd avoid that place then!). Chris Kim said that he made sure my car was detailed and cleaned before I got it back (which was a normal service I'd gotten from most of my prior body repairs, so this wasn't a surprise). I was curious about the "detailing" as I have two dogs that shed and the car was a mess after going to dog runs! If it wasn't immaculate I wouldn't complain. The exterior was washed and looked presentable - which wouldn't have been hard as I refrained from washing to save water (drought excuse); the interior front was vacuumed and lightly dusted clean but not to the point f being overly well done. The hand brake area was totally ignored which was my gauge for how much effort was put into the "detailing." The back interior was looked at but ignored basically. I'm not rating on any of the cleaning. My rating changed from 1 star of first impressions, to 4 stars for ONLY the Genera Manager and service on my car. Less one star as detailing isn't the word I would have used for cleaning my car. I might consider returning to this center 1) because I now know where it is, 2) give them a 2nd chance, 3) see if they will really clean the car afterwards or not, and 4) see if having all the lights on would make the office look more open or not. Oct 24, 2022: First it's really hard to find this place even with the GPS. Second there's really a little parking here. Third the reception is more invisible then present - though it might have been part of the Halloween theme?!? The two times I had gone into the office I had not been greeted but surprised when some disembodied voice said something. The interior is a bit dark and it seems ambiguous as to where one goes to talk to someone, the front has a lobby on the right with sofas and on the left with counters of coffee and Misc. The reception desk is the little bit toward the middle and the receptionist hides behind two computer display screens and some high counter in the middle of the office. I was referred to this location by my insurance company. I trust my insurance company. So I am hoping that this group here knows what they're doing. The front end is not exactly reassuring. I also find it odd that the receptionist and another worker could not give me an estimate amount of time for the repairs. All other times I've had body work done I at least got an estimate of time. I also noticed that the estimate given seemed a bit high with added items that didn't seem damaged. I will update this review after I pick up my repaired car. (1 star Oct 24, 2022) read more

*Zero stars. I've always taken my vehicles to Caliber Collision facilities and never really had a problem, but not the most recent visit to the Mtn View location on Old Middlefield. First, when my vehicle was determined a total loss and not repairable I called to let them know that I would come retrieve my belongings. At that time the customer service agent informed me that all of my belongings had been removed from the vehicle "for me", although I was not informed beforehand, let alone gave permission to enter every interior compartment of my vehicle and remove belongings to elsewhere. When I came to pick up my belongings, it was a difficult process to locate them, and when they were found everything was covered in dust/dirt as if it had been stored outside. Mind you, this vehicle is still legally mine. When I get home I spread everything out and realized my sunglasses and a pocket knife were missing, approx. $350 worth of belongings. I returned to Caliber Collision to check the vehicle for those items, but the vehicle had already been removed to an auction facility. I called the auction facility and they checked the vehicle, finding no belongings in any compartment. I informed Caliber Collision of the situation. At that time manager Juan, whom it took at least half a dozen phone calls to get a hold of, initially began to argue that their agreements outline Caliber Collision is not obligated to return any belongings left in any vehicle once it's in their possession. At a later time, customer service agent Victoria made the same argument. Both a big red flag that this location does not feel obligated to treat their customers with any respect. Ultimately Juan escalated the issue at my request, which took 1 week+ to receive an answer and another half a dozen phone calls, and apparently the regional manager Patrick doesn't feel obligated to treat their customers with respect either because Juan let me know that he too feels that any belonging left in a vehicle does not have to be returned to the owner. Last time I will ever patronize this region of Caliber Collision's facilities, and probably any Caliber Collision altogether. If you can't be trusted with your customers' belongings in their vehicle, then you probably can't be trusted with their vehicles either. Especially when you went about touching your customers belongings without their permission. read more

After being in a minor fender bender, I stopped by Caliber Colosion in Mountain View. They were busy and I walked in with no appointment. However, I was greeted and assisted in a timely manner. Sonya was so helpful during my visit. She answered all of my questions and walked me through what the complete process of the services will look like. They are on top of it here. Our 2018 Ford Explorer looks brand new. Everyone at Caliber was super helpful, knowledgable and so nice to work with. They respected my time and even went out of their way to pick me up when I couldn't make it in to pick up my car. I feel they are reasonable and aim to repair cars with the least amount of cost to their customers, with high quality results. The repair went through insurance, but the price was on par with a quote I received from another high-end repair shop. Very pleased! These guys are good. Whilst I have scored great and they are, there is room for improvement. They are : 1. Informative communications (they were none. Just we have moved the date). It was good I was traveling and did not need the car, but 8/16 to 09/5 was a tad long. They assure me they will improve. 2. Cost of fixing my smacked rear bumper IMHO was excessive though the other driver's insurance paid for it. insurance premiums will go up for all of us. Since I do not make a habit of being in accidents, I have no frame of reference. A driver smack the rear of my car and that is why I needed repair. These chaps did a good job indeed. So kudos to them. They are close to my residence, and very pleasant. Try them. Try getting additional quotes if it makes sense. read more

I ended up at this Caliber Collision because it was an option for direct pay from my insurance carrier, but my experience was good enough that I'd select it specifically if I needed body work for my BMW again. When inspecting the damage, Milton noticed that two tires had developed tumors (bubbles), and driving the car on those would of course be a big safety risk. He offered to see if the shop could work with a local tire vendor to get me the new tires (and alignment) without my having to return to get the car after the bodywork, only to have to go immediately to get the tires replaced. He did a good job of keeping me informed about everything related to the repairs to my vehicle. When I picked up the car, it looked great. I'm very satisfied with the work and customer service I received from this Caliber Collision Center, and their staff. read more

My car was damaged on the left front bumper and front end, from an accident. The car had been parked under pine trees for a few hot summers and had pine sap spread throughout the top and rear sides. Caliber Collision called and said they'd been able to get the car fixed 3-4 days earlier than expected. I couldn't believe it when I got my car back. It looked perfect. The repairs where perfect. But on top of that they removed all of the sap and buffed out every scratch that gad been on the car!! I can't tell you how pleased I was. They are an amazing fast and caring business.
