I came in with a friend who recommend this place as they had done an excellent job repairing her necklace. When I first stepped in I was blown away by the selection. There are some really unique, high quality pieces here. I had come in just to get some of my pearls stranded, but my greedy spirit kicked in and I couldn't help but cast a covetous eye around the place. Thankfully one of the employees saved me from myself and reminded me to focus, which was kindly as my magpie mentality would have only benefited her. Truly, a hidden gem! My fiancé and I went here looking for a wedding bands, we didn't expect to really find anything right off the bat since this is the first spot that we went to. We are welcomed by one of the owners of the store, and after chatting with them, discovered that they've been in business for about 20 years! They had lots of wedding bands to choose from both men and women's options. They were able to work with us and figure out what we wanted, how we wanted the band to look, and how we wanted it to fit! We were able to get a good deal on both of our bands and placed an order that same day! The bands were ready for pick up about a week later. I was always stressed that wedding band shopping would be extremely time-consuming and difficult, but they made it very easy here. Both owners also said that we can bring our rings in any time for a clean or a polish or if anything happens to the ring. They seem like a hard-working couple and we will definitely be back for all of our jewelry needs! read more

Excellent experience. I had trouble finding a jeweler who would re build the prongs in my ring holding five stones. He had no problem with this. He noted that the ring was large for my finger; he sized the ring, cleaned the ring and made a complete repair of the prongs to hold the stones ---and in a short period of time. He is well worth the travel from DC for me -for jewelry repairs. He was recommended by a fellow jeweler who told me he was so honest, very nice and reasonably priced. Highly recommend! read more

Went in because my diamond fell out of my engagement ring and decided we wanted to make the original diamond into a pendant and upgrade my ring. Kim was absolutely amazing! He was so kind, did very quick work (had everything back in a week), and very well priced. He had great craftsmanship and recommended six prongs on the ring for security which I was apprehensive about but it turned out amazing. Unique Jewelry has some stunning pieces for sale. I must admit that I had fun looking at the dazzling display cases, as I waited for Mr. Kim. Mr. Kim and his daughter are charming and delightful. I took in two pieces of jewelry for repair. One ring needed to be made smaller and the other ring was missing a stone. Mr. Kim is knowledgeable and funny. He put the stone in my ring while I waited. The other ring took a day to be serviced. His prices on repair are fair and his work is excellent. By mistake, he made the one ring too small, but he corrected it immediately and it fits perfectly. I love the way he cleans your jewelry, so it looks shiny and new. I definitely want him to work on an custom idea for my granddaughters. And, I still have my eye on one of his necklaces. 11/21/21 Unique Fine Jewelry has worked on three custom made peices for me; however,  photos of one item seem to exist.    I am happy to say I found my lost  photos on Facebook while looking for one items made by Unique Fine Jewelry.  The Batman icon  was the only item I found.  I wore this  piece of jewelry for years. Eventually I fell on hard times and sold the jewelry.  Still, Unique Fine Jewelry made a  bracelet  for me, as; well, as a spear necklace.   The spear necklaces was melted down and made into the Bat Symbol.  Why waste gold. When working out a way to make the payments, the owner was very helpful on a paid  arrangement.   The bracelet was the most expensive,  but I got it paid off.   If I were going to get something else custom made, I wouldn't hesitate to come back here and get my idea for a piece of jewelry made here. read more

ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE here today. I dropped off a Silver Bracelet for repair last Tuesday June 30th. Was told it was repairable, (band snapped in 2) and would be ready by that coming Saturday. I told the lady, I would be in the following Tuesday as I had to work Saturday, and they are closed Sundays. I went to pick the bracelet today, no phone calls from them the whole time, to come to find out they burned, and destroyed my bracelet - Jewler said "Solder became too hot, and heat traveled through bracelet" I looked at him and said "this is now trash, how horrible!" I gave them 30 seconds to make me some sorta offer, apology, and NADA. I grabbed the bracelet and walked out. I will never recommend this place or step foot in here again. Mistakes happen, but the lack of service, making the situation better, or simply an appology - seems like they just want your money. No I didnt pay them for destruction of my bracelet that had a lot of sentimental value, as it was given to me by my Mom who had it mined, and hand made in South America. read more

I love this family-owned jewelry store. They make custom pieces at very reasonable prices; I haven't stopped coming here since I got my first ring and haven't stopped recommending friends. I needed to get a ring resized. The ring came in only one size at 7 and I needed to get it sized down to 4.5. I have been going to another jeweler in Rockville for several years and had some stones that I was saving to make earrings. The pandemic hit and I didn't go back to get my stones until a year later. For this Christmas, I purchased an expensive Italian pen as a gift and needed it get it engraved. There were several jewelers in the area but I decided to come here because of the great reviews. Boy I'm so glad I came here!!! The jeweler is an older Asian gentleman with a strong accent, but he clearly is knowledgeable about engraving. He gave me advice on what fonts to use based on the area that the engraving is supposed to go on (the cap). He carefully checked to make sure that the engraving would fit and look perfect. Because the cap had an asymmetric clip, the words were going to be tilted (noo!) but he was able to adjust it so that it would be straight. The engraving was beautifully done. I'm so impressed with his service and skill. His price was also extremely reasonable. Hands down, if you need something engraved, come here! read more
