This is hands down my favorite thrift store EVER. I don't even live in Maryland, y'all. I visit my family about 4-6 times per year and I almost always work in a trip to Unique/Savers. My family used to live about 10 minutes away from this location, now they live 20+ minutes away and guess what? I still go. The thing is, everything here is solid--each department has amazing treasures to be found. Sometimes when I come in, I like to do the whole sweep--usually shoes, clothes, bric a brac, and jewelry. Sometimes if that's too much, I just stick to one or two departments. The books section alone is gold. Are things overpriced? Yes. But they have a fantastic loyalty program, as well as weekly sales including I want to say one day that's 25% every week. Obviously if you have a senior citizen in your life, they also get a great discount. Do not sleep on this place, I have furnished my closet and my home with items from this store regularly. If you use the store coupons they send or the regular sale days, you won't be disappointed!

OK, it's been 14 years and I visited this place again. It's still quite chaotic and a hot mess that I found some really good stuff here. I think I keep making the mistake of visiting on a weekend when really I need to visit during the week. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were tons of people and kids running wild, but the organization of the store seems to be a lot better. I only walked away with a few items, but it was J.Crew, Marmot and a fun Xmas sweater. Name is affiliated with the savers thrift store so if you have a savers number, you can enter it in here and get points.

It's pretty huge, i have been here in the past when i used to buy little golden books for my children. Now they are grown I don't really go here often. Today we went in the insistence of my daughter. She had all her friends in tow and they went at it. Thrifting is a big thing now especially with the inflation. I saw many diverse customers here. It can be a bit dusty and if you have dust allergies you will definitely sneeze. But many good finds BUT make sure ithe price is right. I saw dollar tree items and they are selling it for $1.99 what you mean it's $1.25 in the dollar tree. I did get a nice bamboo steamer for $3.99 it seems ok. We will see. My mother in law got a lot of stuff like church outfits and such. The prices are still kinda up there but she didn't mind she still bought so much stuff, hats bags and everything. I still feel that the prices should be a bit lower because it is used and donated.

Parking is abundant. I went in there the other day out of boredom cuz i was around there but i actually was surprised how well they are doing( customer wise). There were lots of people in there and they were absolutely doing their best accommodating everyone.. The store is pretty neat and organized, cleaning staff are everywhere lots of cloths and household's items. Check out is pretty fast and thats always important..

This place is my go place for really awesome random items, came in with the intention for a small side table came out with a old school desk. Everything is priced fairly, all products seem to be in fair to great working condition. No issues with any purchases from here. It can be very crowded at times and checkout can be a long process but it's totally Worth the wait.

    Limoges for $1.99.

Trying to locate a thrift store I went to years ago while in Woodbine Md. It was 30 minutes or so away from Rambin Pines campround and would not allow you to try anything on. The store was huge and had a small flea next door - could this be it?

No. This store is between Bethedsa and Rockville, MD. Closer to Rockville.

It sounds like a great but busy place. When would you say is the "quietest" time? I'm not worried about sale day. Also what's final word on discounts for donations? I donate everything to Big Brothers Big Sisters & they give all to the store. Thanks!

They give you a receipt with a donation percentage on it. I've never taken advantage of the discount so I don't know how it works.

Does this company employ knowledgeable employees that know how to answer the phone and are able to let donors know what hours they are able to drop items off?

My guess, based on the way you worded your question, is no. I can tell you that they will take donations during all of their opening hours. This store has a drive up donation spot, and they will help you unload your car and give you a receipt on the… Read more

Even if they are, I plan to do a little something special for them for the upcoming holidays. I don't know their names, but a few stand-outs are: -Woman who regularly stocks household items. She wears little headbands with cute animal ears. She is a ray of sunshine. If I could lift her to put her up on a pedestal, I would. -Dale, who seems to be a manager, is not only extraordinarily kind, but he's knowledgeable about art. Learned he's an artist himself! -Tall young man who usually wears a mask. So personable and helpful. He doesn't hesitate to greet me, and he had some good feedback about a couple of my purchases. -Very young man who works the register. Quick with a dimpled smile. He's very courteous and wholesome. -Older man who works in a bustling and vocal manner. He's not playing around, but his style is necessary and welcome, because he must ensure nobody gets hurt. I have observed him trying to place some large, heavy items, and if customers crowded around him too much, he wasn't able to do his job. Not to mention, if someone weren't aware of where he and the large/heavy objects were, he and/or the customer could get hurt. So, he has to loudly (I'm guilty of zoning out and being unaware of my surroundings) warn customers to stay out of the way. -On the register, young lady with dark hair and cool style is always smiling, Very intelligent--comments on items I'm getting with genuine knowledge. Common thread with all of them is that not only are they conscientious and kind, but they are extremely smart, and I appreciate being able to interact with these types of people.

A mini muffin tin that had a yard sale sticker on it for $0.75 was being offered for $7.99! There is another item I saw that was new in the bag and had a store sticker for $3.95. Goodwill was trying to sell it for $3.99. The store is huge, but for me, I'll pass.
