Was also not happy with the cut, again did not give me the cut we had discussed. All this and I still had to pay top dollar. Was happy to spend the money for great color and cut, but under the circumstances. she should have paid me for ruining my hair for six months or so. Definitely will not return to the Diva in Chinook Mall Calgary.

I was told they would be able to get me 1 shade darker than what I was asking for, I agreed to that. When I had finished, I had black hair. It was darker than the colour I had came in with. HOWEVER because I am a non confrontational person, and I had just been in the chair for 3 hours, I said I liked it. Then later that day tried to follow up with the manager. The manager Theresa took 5 days to get back to me, which she then responded with "you told the stylist you liked it, so if you want it changed, you will have to pay for another service." Even after I had explained why I told the stylist I liked it in the first place. I was told not to worry, my hair would fade, well almost a month later.. It still has not faded. I will never be returning here.

The experience was wonderful and Mom came out with a stylish new "do". She received so many compliments when she got back to the assisted care facility. This is a tiny little shop in an old mall with a lot of Chinese shops. The salon appeared clean…read moreenough so I stepped in and just threw it out there: "do you thread eyebrows?" Never expected someone to say yes. I could see they do waxing, but threading was a long shot. Anyway, a woman named Tess is apparently the only threader. She did my brows very quickly, which I mean in a good way...I cringe thinking about the slow threaders and how each of my thick eyebrows makes an excruciating "plink" when it is slowly plucked. Get that $#!+ over with already. So she did a great job. She cleaned them up nicely, the shape was already good. I was a little nervous because so often those little waxing shops will try to give me thinner brows. She did exactly as I requested. For $10.50 Canadian I got a good, clean set of brows to raise suspiciously and judgmentally at everyone I see in the airport today.

Jen my stylist then proceeded to dye my hair black which was the complete opposite of what I wanted. 4 hours later I finally got my cut and regular color horribly done and was not impressed. I called soon after to tell the "manager" that I was not impressed with the services and she said they would fix it no charge (obviously). I went in a week later for my "appointment" and waited another 30 minutes past my appoitnent time to find out that they would only fix their mistake if I paid $300 with a down payment of $100 before hand. I can't believe a salon is able to run so poorly and treat their customers with such disrespect. I went to a different salon 2 days after my terrible experience here and the stylist fixed my hair completely with no charge after hearing about the hack job this establishment did. For anyone thinking about going here DO NOT its a complete scam and like other reviews say the stylists don't listen to what you want and make up lies when you all them out on it. What a joke

I've had long hair, angled bobs, pixies, faux hawks and now my current, highly stylized short on the sides long in the middle do- as well as an array of complex color schemes. He's excellent. Strangers, who are often hairdressers themselves frequently stop me to compliment, admire and take a closer look. And, he's got personality too- he makes me feel like a million dollars everytime I visit. Definitely recommend- especially for short cuts.
