I've read quite a few negative reviews on this company, which functions as a broker in the auto shipping industry. I almost cancelled my pickup due to the many negative reviews but I didn't. They called and told me my vehicle would be picked up on Friday in South Florida and delivered to Tennessee on Monday. They picked up the vehicle Friday afternoon at 4pm. I was shocked when my son called me Saturday at noon and said the vehicle had been delivered! 20 hours door-to-door...not bad! I highly recommend United American for your transport needs! It's a bummer that there are so many bad reviews. I wish more people would write reviews when they have a good experience too. Anyhow.... Booked with these guys, they came in at the 2nd lowest bid. They ended up calling to offer me a pickup one day earlier because they had a cancellation. GREAT!! We were trying to coordinate a cross country move (not easy) and they made the vehicle shipping part easy! Told me the truck would be arriving to me at 12:00pm approximately. Sure enough, they arrived at 12:20. I even got a courtesy call when they were 15 minutes out. Smooth and easy pick-up, and car was delivered 2 days later (1700 miles) in the exact same condition they picked her up. They were courteous, helpful, affordable, and reliable. If I had to ship a vehicle again I would use them again for sure! read more

Here's a long one: Posted on a website that helps you find a carrier to transport your car on 7/2/18. Brian Cooper from UAAT was the first to contact me and I asked him to try to find a driver for the quoted price and let me know. I got about 12 quotes from various companies, transporting my vehicle about 160 miles door to door. UAAT was the lowest by about $50 from the next quote. They have a door to door price guarantee that you only pay the quoted price, so I expected to not have to pay more than that. They also said they do not require a deposit to find a driver, but once a driver is dispatched and on the way, they take their deposit and not a moment sooner, and that the quote balance will be due to the driver at delivery. Sounded good so I asked him to do what he needs and see if a driver will do it for the price quoted. The requested date for service was 7/5/18. All sounded reasonable and legitimate. Wish I had read reviews first. These people seem to not know what they're doing. The vehicle that is being transported is financed, so the finance company has to release the vehicle from the auction yard its being held at. These people did not tell me that whom ever they hire to carry the vehicle will need to be added to that release form. For days I waited to hear back from them about if they found me a driver or not. On 7/9/18 I contacted them again and they had me on hold for about 19 minutes. I decided to go online and type in my quote number and request service that was and with in seconds I had a call from them. They said it was no problem they would have a driver out there today to get the car. Tuesday morning is when I find out that the finance company has to authorize a third party to come get the car and I find this out by calling the auction yard to see if it had been picked up. And find it that it had not and why. UAAT DIDNT TELL ME ANYTHING. So I call UAAT to see what the driver information will be so I can get that release to the auction yard. This is at 2 pm at 4pm I get a call from the yard saying that the driver is there at security and will need to fill out and sign forms in the release office to pick it up. At 6:30 I get a courtesy call from the driver to inform me that the yard charges a $50 forklift fee that will be due to the driver if I still want them to pick it up, but the yard closes at 5, and the forklift operator was gone, so they will have to make a special trip in the morning, if I still want them to pick it up. Naturally I was upset about this hidden fee so I contacted UAAT as my broker to question this via email and asked hem to explain to myself or my husband what they plan to do about this fee since they guarantee their prices. Their response was to only pay the driver $175 as agreed and implied to let the driver bite the cost of the forklift. Said they sent me a copy of the dispatch form but I never received it... That doesn't sound right to me so I call them. And they proceed to tell me how this isn't their fault and the driver doesn't know what he's doing or what they're talking about and blah blah blah. Meanwhile, apparently someone else from this company is calling the driver and "cursing them every direction" so the driver calls me back upset and asks if I still wanted them to pick up the vehicle and that they understand if we choose not to tip them because of this fee and that they're already making less money off this transport than expected because of the unexpected delay but they're happy to do it because low business is better than no business and blah blah blah. MEANWHILE I receive 11 (YES ELEVEN) calls from UAAT while on this 6 minute phone call with the driver. So I get off the phone and answer the eleventh call and it's someone who claims to be the owner of the company. Don't remember his name, and I don't know if he's just the branch owner or what but he was incredibly unprofessional and cut me off every time I tried to speak and as I'm talking to him he hangs up. Tried calling back and no answer. I then get a call from the driver this morning to let me know if I still wanted him to proceed this morning he will gladly do so, and let me know that UAAT has reposted my job on their bidding board. So if they dispatch another driver I may be charged again for a vehicle that has already been transported (or in route). I'm curious to see if my car is actually delivered today. I'm less upset about the extra $50 forklift fee as I am the unprofessionalism that has occurred here. My $250 door to door no fee garuntee service will cost me $300, and no one will take responsibility for it. read more

Then another guy (as indicated in other reviews) calls you saying theres a problem bla bla bla... The "new amount due is...". They took my first car... I could see on my cars GPS that it sat in a lot down the street from me for 6days!!! After leaving several messages (each with an increasingly more agitated tone), they stopped returning my calls and no one picks up.... This is your chance to say "this guy had ONE bad experience"... Sorry, but no! While my car was sitting I called these clowns for a second car shipment (this was before they cut the lines of communication with me), they gladly took my money (and took the liberty of charging me $25 more than the last one. BUYER BEWARE!! This company is a complete scam. My order was confirmed 4/15/16 and to this day 8/1/16, they never came to pick up my car. I needed my car shipped from Arizona to North Carolina. They are very nice and courteous when you call in. But they never deliver. They take your deposit and you never hear from them. You have to do all the calling. They tell you they will call you once they find a driver. Once they tell you they found a driver, they never give you the drivers cell phone number. They also tell you once they find a driver, you can't get your deposit back. Well I beg to differ. I called my bank and told them the story and that this place is scamming people out of their money. They put my money back in my account temporarily while they investigated. Once the investigation was over, it became permanent and I got my money back. It's not worth the hassle. I wished that I would have read these reviews before dealing with UAAT. This business is so not professional at all. I should have known this from the way they answered the telephone. Hello, like they were answering the phone at home & I had to ask is this united american auto transport? I did an online application on Friday for my car to be picked up on Monday & delivered on Wednesday. They said they could & gave me a price of $500. (Newnan - Oklahoma) They were supposed to have emailed me the confirmation after we hung up. Didn't receive it on Friday, nor Saturday nor Sunday. I flew out to Oklahoma on Saturday & thought everything would go smooth. I called several times on Monday since they gave me a time frame 12 - 2:00. They told me the driver would call me an hour before so that I could authorize them to charge me the deposit. I called several times again & was finally told that "the truck had broken down & they were looking to get another driver to pick up my car. I asked what time would they come & he said the same time. That didn't happen. I called again after I'd gotten off work & was given 2 numbers of 2 drivers that should pick the car up at 7:00 pm. The dispatcher told me they would be there & if I had any problems call & leave a message. Really? I waited 7,8,9,10,11,12:00. Nothing, no phone call, nothing. BUT they did however charge my card for the deposit & finally sent the confirmation email & the price was now $575. The driver finally came Tuesday right before noon & said it was too late for him to come on Monday. I did receive my car in Oklahoma on Wednesday around 8:40pm! I did have a scratch on my vehicle but since it was dark when I got it, I didn't see it until the next day. My brand new 2015 vehicle that I'd just purchased on Friday before flying out to my new job on Saturday. I will NEVER use this company again and will NOT recommend them to anyone. I am a US Navy serviceman who seeked the services of this auto transport company to move my vehicle from my home state to my area of duty. Regrettably, I cannot rate this business with near any stars because of the lack of integrity and the sheer gall of conducting near fraudulent business transactions. My vehicle had been booked on the 31st of January to be picked up which is a day after I called, they had claimed they had a driver available. And once we sorted arrangements they deducted a deposit of 100 dollars from my card in accordance to their policy after dispatching a driver, of which I have no issue with. If the driver had actually come, on the time he was supposed to, exactly as agreed upon of which I even have a confirmation email with them. They had then informed me the day of that the driver had broken down and would not be available till Friday! Amusing, as it seems so convenient that the so called "present" driver had broken down and would not be available the day of my pick up. Due to my service obligations I was not going to be available on the Friday next available so I told them to push it till next week. When I had called again to give them dates they had told me they have a confirmed driver for friday, when infact I had informed them I would not be available. At that point I decided to no longer utilize their services due to their daft sense of my service obligations. I called to cancel and they said they would keep the deposit. Such gall, as they claimed they had dispatched the driver that had broken down, hence they are entitled to retain the deposit! With the advent of me having to fight for my money back, and facing such fraudulent like services, I can only say that these establishments are the reason the military manages a "blacklist" of certain shady and scam like businesses. I told them I needed the car to be picked up from OK and delivered to CT. I needed the car for March 28th. They said it would be an additional 50 dollars for a 24hour pick up. I gladly paid them and waited to hear back. Nothing. 3 days later I called them and they said they couldn't find anyone. Ralph said they would have some to pick up the car the next day and that they would charge me 100 dollars over a card, and the rest would be paid to a driver. I called over 5 times to get the driver info. Finally got it. I called the driver and he said the car wouldn't be picked up for another 3 days. I called Ralph back (I had to call 4 times to get him on the call) he said he would get back to. NEXT DAY I had to call him. I asked to be helped by someone else. I asked to talk to the owner. They said they didn't know his name. Long story short. My Car was finally delivered to me a day late. It was picked up 3 days late. These guys will tell you anything to get more money. PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THOSE NEGATIVE REVIEWS TELL IT ALL. I don't even know where to begin. Right after searches for quotes, Greg from UAAT called me. He made it clear it's Door to Door and it's gonna be $1,100. No extra. There were lower quotes like $800 but he convinced me if it's too low there is a chance a driver refuses to pick up and go with someone with higher price. Put $100 as deposit and received an email that says remaining balance is $1,000 and I'd get contacted at least 2 days before pick up date. NO BODY CALLED ME until the pick up day. (Yes i'd called them twice to make sure my car gets picked up) But still no calls from anybody even on the pick up day. Our movers were loading our stuffs and We had to turnover house keys and had a flight to catch. I was really nervous. After making several calls, we were told that a driver is late and my car needs to be brought to the driver who is 2 hour away and we are responsible for that extra transporting cost. We said NO. After a hold Greg said a driver will be here between 2pm to 4pm. NO BODY CAME. Called Greg again and he said he'll call us back in 20 minutes which was end of office hours. Of course he didn't call us back and only we hear was automated messages. Again, no drivers info either. We were so desperate because there was nobody to call. Got a call from a driver around 6pm while we were heading to a shuttle. He picked my car up at last and brought it to the actual driver who couldn't come pick it up. Today, after not hearing from anybody for 10days regarding my car, the driver called and told me I need to pay $1,300 at the delivery. I told him it's supposed to be $1,000 and made him to confirm with UAAT and UAAT's answer was $1,300 as well. What about the $100 deposit I paid? He said that probably was just a broker fee. He also told me if I don't pay full amount he'll bring it to a storage. So, I had no choice but paying the extra $300 which probably was for that pick up from our place to the actual driver WHO WAS LATE AND COULDN'T COME pick up. We are a business and used a lot of transporting services. Spoke with Greg from UAAT #678-541-7686, need a car transported from Copart TX to us in FL. Specifically told him we have no forklift and car is not a roller - will need help unload and a flat-bed if possible. He promised "HIS" drive will take care of it with a wench and charged us extra $100 for the "service". Driver and dispatch contacts me on the day of delivery, said Greg told THEM I will have the manpower and tools to unload without issues. So wasted hours trying to unload and we paid extra out of pocket to get a local flatbed to unload. Should have found the reviews first and stayed away. Even BBB gave them a bad rating. read more

Dan Li with this company assured me the deposit was refundable. Well, the worst happened and the vehicle I 'won' on ebay was a scam. When I called to ask for my deposit back, they told me if would NOT be refunded since I had already requested shipping on a certain date. I learned later that there are MANY other shipping companies that do not require deposits--us them, but NEVER United American. I just used United American Auto Transport last week to ship my vehicle from Colorado to Florida. I worked with Edwin Richardson and he was prompt and straightforward with me the entire time. As these guys are brokers, he hooked me up with a transport company (From Here to There). They kept me in the loop the entire time and my vehicle was picked up within a week of my inquiry and delivered in 4 days safely to the final destination. I didn't have any problems with using Ethan at United American and would use him again. read more

UAAT United American Auto Transport are liars. their liars are very skillful, and are so professional liars. their protocol is like this: First The first guy give me a bait, with a lower price $850. I trusted him without any doubt at first, because all the prices in the reservation form and the placed order are $850. but Carl is so crafty that he sent another order confirmation with price $1000 simultaneously. I thought it was a small error by Carl and call and send him email to do the confirmation. but he began to hide himself to ignore my call or email. Then the Second guy begins to perform continuely, Originally,Some one from UAAT called me saying the price has to increase because I changed the zip code.... Please check the google map, they are in the same city of Saint Paul. I would say even if it is in Minneapolis, I can drive there within 10 minutes, because they are twin city area, and I, just lived in the boundary between Minneapolis and Saint Paul. I tried to explain to them, if they like, I can drive easily to drop off my car in the specific location they required for picking up, as long as it is within the twin city area. But everybody knows, this is not the real reason! they told me obviously: "this is not the real reason. The truth, instead, we ask more money, totally $1000." if I don't agree with that, I can just cancel that. But they will continue to charge me $100 even though it is obviously UAAT broke promise at first! Our airline flight was booked for Tuesday, Dec 19, 2017. On Dec 14,2017 received a phone call from UAAT (Greg Bradley) that he could not fulfill contract, said driver wanted $200.00 more. (Total $800.00). "But I'll make it up on the return trip." Too late to look for another transport company,had plane tickets and limo arranged so I was stuck paying $800.00 vs $600.00. Sounds like a bait and switch. At same time( 7/25/17) I booked return car transport for P/U O/A May 1-2, 2018. Phoned UAAT (Greg Bradley) on Apr 26, 2018. Said will call back on Fri., Apr 27, 2018. He said no P/U Sat or Sun. On 4/27 received a call from another carrier saying that UAAT was looking to book with them for $725.00. They said no deal. Never got a call back and as a result of no auto transport drove back to PA. Lost the cost of my airline tickets ( 2 + dog) and $75.00 limo ride. Returned home 5/2 and on May 3d phoned UAAT 2X ,left messages, no reply. Called again on Fri May 4, 2018 (after I returned home), Greg said, "It's really complicated!" Hired this company to move my car. The people they assigned to move it rolled my vehicle and it was totaled. The moving company didn't even have insurance and my insurance had to cover the claim. I emailed them today to get my deposit back since the car never made it and they refused. Not only did they total my vehicle, used a carrier than wasn't insured and now they will not refund me my deposit. Unbelievable. DONT EVEN THINK OF USING THIS COMPANY. read more

This company is a complete joke they confirmed my order and when I called them 100 times to get an update on my vehicle they kept hanging up on me. They never answered a call until I threatened to call the BBB then tried to tell me they never received a call after atleast 100 calls and 20 emails. This transport company is absolutely HORRIBLE! I am going to report them to the BBB today. They reel you in with lies and false promises. Not one thing that I have been told has actually happened. My car was picked up on 1/8/15 and I'm still waiting to receive my vehicle. Now they are saying it can be a few more days. These guys are the worst of the lot. We called and booked 3 cars to be picked up in the Bay area to GA. The booking was made more than 6 weeks ago. These are the problems we faced: 1) Within 24 hours of using our credit card to pay the deposit, there was a fraudulent use of the card in Ohio (We are in CA). We had to call and cancel the card. 2) They were to pick up the card today and nobody has called us yet. We have tried to call them more than 30 times in the past 2 weeks and left multiple messages but nobody has called back. 3) We are scheduled to catch a flight to GA tomorrow but because these guys have not picked up the cars yet, we have had to cancel our flights. That's more $$$ wasted. 4) Now that we have sold our house, I have to find and pay to park our cars. More wasted $$$. 5) When I last spoke to them, they told us that the person we left messages was no longer with their company - they use every trick and excuse in the book to explain why nobody picks up the phone. BTW - the phone is still being directed to "Tracy's" extension!!! Do not be fooled by the lower quotes you will end up paying a lot more in the end. read more

Horrible shipping company possibly a scam it's been a month and we're still looking for our car they wipe their hands clean of it things are not responsible after getting paid to ship it. The one guy Daniel seems decent ralph is a complete criminal scam artist raising prices after you commit to a number and getting your deposit. read more
