I was surprised to find out they now charge for gas and when I was filing it up it takes 10 min to "register" so I filled up the truck and returned it and today they said it was only 81% full, I have a picture of it over full. I really loved using them and now it's not a deal anymore. Back to u-haul for me. The convenience is good. But after gas and costs of vans etc it's not a deal anymore. Oh well Need a truck? Need it fast, when I want it and for a great price? Well, this is the place! I found this gem online after multiple google searches (they need to pay to have google provide optimization for their site so it's easier to find). Like us all we have used uhaul and Penske or our friends trucks to move stuff when needed...all of the latter aren't always affordable or available. Now enter the metro ATL market Fetch Truck. Does the name sound like it's missing an "a"? Yeah I agree Fetch-a-Truck just rolls off the tongue better. Well, enough with that down to the nitty gritty. Their mobile site is good and will show you the trucks available closest to you via a zip code search. Luckily I have one near me, close to downtown Roswell. I had called and spoken to one of the owners to find some more detail and he was very helpful, pick your time and pick it up at their location with your phone, no person behind a desk to deal with etc. Finally, convenience! You reserve the truck via mobile or website (be sure to login or register since it will keep track of all your rentals) and it will send you a text confirming everything along with the details on location, time and how to unlock the vehicle. They definitely spent some money on the mobile app, it's great. It unlocks the truck, lets you take pictures of the truck before you leave and shows you current rental time and miles used All trucks have gas included and they allow you a # of miles for the rental duration, my case it's 50 miles a rental if it's for 1 hour or 1 day! Pick up truck is $10/hr which is way less than Home Depot/Lowes and even uhaul, all of which you need to pay miles, gas or both. Upon return you just use the text message to link you to their site and take pictures (for liability purposes) of the truck and lock the vehicle. How easy and perfect is that!!! The only reason I was hesitant on writing this is that the more it gets known the less I will be able to snag a vehicle when I need it. I have multiple rental properties and this is very convenient for me. I hope they really take off, it's a great concept with new nice trucks and good locations. If the truck breaks down by their fault and inside the truck there will be small damage that you didn't do, they will double charge you and would never send you a proof of photo with the date and time! Also they couldn't provide any receipts and answering for the emails very long time! Exceeded expectations. As someone who would prefer to do everything online and hassle free, this was the ideal way to rent a truck (or in my case, a cargo van). Had to pick up a large item from the hardware store and after it didn't fit in our SUV, made a reservation with Fetch for the same day. Uploaded my license and insurance information- and we were in our rental within 30 minutes. Check in/check out instructions were super detailed & we were sent a receipt shortly after returning the vehicle. Best part? Never had to interact with a rental counter. I don't rent trucks often, but will only use Fetch from now on. read more

I am a big fan of the personal computing era. Technology at its finest. Thus, I was both intrigued and amazed at the ease of renting a moving van without the need to personally see anyone. I took pictures to start and end rental, and easily extended the time actually needed to use truck. 100% on ease of use regarding rental and use of truck. Highly recommended for ease of rental. My issue is with invoicing. I have an invoice issue 10 days post-rental. I am unable to obtain a final invoice. With all the great technology involved in the truck rental, on the front end, it's equally amazing that on the back end, I am unable to get a final invoice. Strange and disappointing. Awaiting until the weekday to see if a final invoice can be obtained. Currently only a summary of charges are available under my Fetchtruck.com account. This company is a joke. I reserved and paid for a cargo van a week in advance to move my daughter out of an apartment an hour away. The reservation was for 8:00 am on a Sunday. On Saturday, I received a confirmation text advising how to access the van. On Sunday, at 7:10 am, literally 50 minutes before I was to pick up the van, I get a text from Fetch advising that the van is no longer available and cancelling my reservation. Fetch advised that there was another van available, but it was 45 minutes away, the wrong direction from the apartment. For the additional 90 minutes of driving, Fetch offered me a credit of $15. I called and spoke with a costumer service representative who had no authority to fix the problem or offer more than the $15 credit. After being elevated to a supervisor, exact same result. Yes, $15 dollars to drive 90 minutes. Lest we forget the cost of the gas for the extra drive to pick up/drop off the van, and to drive to / from the apartment. Because Fetch, apparently, does not have a fleet of vehicles (despite showing pictures of "Fetch" labeled vehicles on its website), Fetch has no ability to move trucks when there is an issue with a previously reserved truck. Further, Fetch took absolutely no responsibility for the dilatory advisory that the van was not available. If you want to do business with a company that breaches its agreements and baits and switches, then do business with Fetch. Otherwise, rent from a company which actually has a vehicle fleet and takes responsibility for its errors. read more

Mechanical issues... i rented a truck with this company for 2 days. The second day i notices the truck was leaking oil and the check engine light came. It was not a small leak it was leaking lots of oil. I called the company and they told me to prove it... so i sent pictures and video. It was decided by the company that I should return the truck immediately. Which I did. I did not get to use the truck at all on the second day. I requested a refund and they said they would look into it and should take 2-3 business days. 2 weeks later I receive an email stating they did not find anything wrong with the truck and I could not get a refund. How does this make any sense. I didn't use the truck, they demanded I return it so why would I have to pay??? And i couldnt get another truck without doing a brand new reservation and deposit. I will never use this company again. No respectable company would have policies like this. Dont waste your time just rent through uhaul Or home depot at least you will get better customer service and peace of mind if the vehicle has mechanical issues!!! How you do confirm a rental via email and then the next morning (on the day of the rental) send another email that states the car isn't available anymore? And then, the only solution is to cancel, and offer a $15 discount in "the future" - as if I'll ever use this company again? Very poor business operations and service. An "app" based business that sells themselves on the idea that they are inexpensive and convenient alternative two businesses like U-Haul but in actuality may not be neither... I'm not going to pad this review. I'm just going to get to the Chase and tell you what you really need to know about Fetch: Cost: the initial cost of 12 to $20 per vehicle per hour is initially not that bad, especially if you need it for only 3 or so hours. The catch comes in the mileage. If you need to drive this vehiclean hour one way and then an hour back to return it then you're significantly going to be charged more for going over your mileage. Again, the mileage overage on paper doesn't look too bad but it'll add up quick! Gas isn't too much of a concern. At 2.55 a gallon and only cost me 9:50 to fill up so I can't complain too much about the gas. What I can complain about however is the $75 Insurance hold that they put on your account. now I'm a fine print reader and even I didn't spot that. If I had known that I would have used a credit card for this transaction because I used my debit and it almost put me in the red. Be warned: they were not very upfront about this and I only found out after the fact. They can even hold that amount for 7 days if they so choose. Regular rental places like U-Haul will not do this and that is something to consider when using fetch. Convenience: yeah, I will have to admit, it was pretty convenient. I found the truck pretty easily. It was parked at a self storage place period easy to spot and directly out front by itself. the check-in process by your cell phone was fairly easy to. It prompts you to take four pictures of the vehicle from all sides and then the next step is clicking on the little box windows for the pictures to be downloaded to there "app". This part was a little difficult because I found that their website ran a little slow and it would sometimes just reject the picture and you'd have to reattempt it before it would stick. It felt a little inefficient but it wasn't a deal-breaker. It was just annoying. the Apple auto unlock your doors as your rental begins and then from the glove box you'll find a hand safe with a keypad. They'll give you a 3 digit code to unlock the hand safe to get your car key and you're off. when you return the vehicle you have to take another 4 pictures, repeat that last process, play ski back in glove compartment, make sure you have gas up truck , And park it back at the same facility that you found it. Then you're done. All in all, it cost me $55.00 to rent an 8-foot flatbed truck for 3 hours and I drove it 44 miles. I think the breakdown was $38 initially, $3 and taxes, and approximately 9.50 in gas. And then you can add a big fat 75 more dollars on it until they choose to release that... I think my issue with fat comes down to one simple thing: they sell the whole idea their business low-cost convenience well being afraid to reveal any negatives about the product. I realize that there marketing to millennials. if one thing holds to be true Millennials hate to hear anything negative and will walk away if it seems inconvenient. this makes me think that they would resort to hiding anything negative from the customer to ensure continued business... Oh, and they do not have an app even though they constantly mentioned doing business through the app. You'll be working through their emails. Again, deceptive language and deciding a product that would entice millennials. I can't entirely recommend Fitch. It's an issue of trust. read more

Updating my review from 3 stars to 4! I recently had a slightly frustrating experience with Fetch. Within an hour of posting my complaint, the owner contacted me directly by phone and wanted to listen to my concerns. To get a personal call from the owner (who also remembered me from when I met him two years ago during my first rental) was really impressive. It is clear they are truly invested in making sure all of their customers have a seamless and pleasant rental experience. What I will remember most about Fetch won't be the hiccup in my last rental, but rather how valued I felt. I love to support local businesses, especially when the ownership is so focused on the happiness of their customers. Found Fetch Trucks when we needed to accelerate our moving schedule and I had to quickly find a truck for the weekend. I found the service, price, and availability great! It took about a week for my insurance to be refunded. My suggestion would be for them to create mobile apps and quit relying on mobile websites. The interface and the integration with the camera and GPS opportunities would be so much better; I found the image taking feature very clunky. I would definitely use them again. read more

I attempted to use this service for an event and the approval process took a little longer than anticipated (be sure to plan for a delayed approval time as everything is done via app.) I told them we had to choose another option because of the delayed reply for approval. Adam, informed me we would still be charged for the rental even though approval was finally submitted on the same day we needed the van. We had to make other arrangements. I outlined that we'd keep them in mind for future business for sure. I was told our account was deactivated because we refused to pay the rental fee despite the lengthy approval process. Not to mention the "support" e-mails normally come directly from Adam and he doesn't sign with his name to make you think it's another person. There's certainly some room for approval and professionalism. They get two stars because pricing is good for SHORT distances. read more

This company should NOT be associated with Home Depot, honestly they should not even in the rental business!! 1. Hourly rate does not decrease the longer you keep it... this alone is RED FLAG! Our total would have been over $700 if we had not threatened to cancel the charges through our credit card!! 2. After having a detailed conversation with agent at 11:30 am regarding converting to the 24 hour rate, she still didn't change and called us back 5 hours later to tell us we owed over $300 at that point! 3. Don't look any further than Fetch for your truck/van rental needs! I work for a school and used Fetch to transport sets, props, and costumes for a school musical involving over 100 students. The van I used was clean, had more than enough room to fit everything for our show, and was incredibly simple to rent and return. To make it even better, Fetch worked with me personally to provide a very reasonable rate that fit within our production budget! This company has their act together and is absolutely the way to if you are looking for clean vehicles, a quick and simple rental process, and excellent customer service. 10/10 would use again! read more

100% satisfied with multiple Fetch Truck rentals. We have two cars - a two-door and a four-door - and neither can haul much. I have used it a few times to go to Lowe's to get mulch and other bulk/larger items that would take me multiple trips in one of our cars. I usually get the job done in less than two hours. Super cheap, easy, no interaction with people (big plus) and no aggressive upselling of useless insurance policies. Do everything with your phone. Billing was correct every time and no hassles. Important to note that this is a locally owned and operated business that is growing rapidly outside of Georgia. If I could give no stars I would. The first time I reserved a truck, 2 years ago, the truck was not there when I went to pick it up. They said sometimes the people that had the truck prior to me don't make it back in time. They found me another truck after 2 hours and a significant distance from me. I figure it was just bad luck. The 2nd time I reserved a truck, 1 month ago, they contacted me 5 days prior to moving saying that the truck has scheduled maintenance and I will need to book another truck. Unhappy but have no choice so close to move date must travel again to get truck. Arrived to get truck and you guessed it... NO TRUCK. They said it was with 1 mile so we searched for an hour. Ended up without a truck. The kicker to all of this is they CHARGED my credit card for the rental that I NEVER got. The people on the phone are so nice but this company is so disorganize. read more

The customer service of this company is the worst I've had in a very long time. You are required to fill the gas tank up prior to return, and that's exactly what I did. There is a gas station next to the Fetch return and I filled the tank up until the nozzle shut off and looked at the gauge and was over the full line. $150.00 is required deposit they deducted $15.37 because "the tank was only 88% full. After several emails back and forth explaining the situation I was required to provide proof by receipt or bank statement of gas charge. I then got a call from Robert and instead of apologizing he explained why they did what they did " industry standards" etc. He then started to refute what I was telling him, and I called to his attention he was arguing with me instead of apologizing, ironically he told me he wasn't arguing with me hmmm.... read more

My husband and I used Fetch for the first time and it was a pretty good experience! It wasn't a perfect experience but good enough to use again. Thoughts: 1. Reliable- I really like how I could reserve the pick-up truck and I had a guaranteed vehicle waiting for me. I contacted Home-Depot before this but their pick-up trucks are apparently only first come first serve. 2. Convenience - I love how Fetch has different pick-up locations so there's probably a location that will work for you. The idea of this rental service I think is genius and should be the future of all truck rentals. It's so easy to manage the start and end time of your rental! 3. The truck was clean and in condition! The car was clean on the inside, it didn't smell bad, and we had no mechanical issues. Very smooth and pleasant ride. 4. The only thing I see where there is room for improvement is with the car description. Fetch is using stock photos to show what car you've rented when in fact it's different. When I completed my reservation it showed a picture of a white Ford pick-up truck. So when I arrived to the location that's what I'm expecting to see. Nope! It was a Red Chevrolet pick-up truck. I called their customer service to confirm I was looking at the right car and she did confirm that was the car. This may be a minimal complaint but it's confusing and misleading. I used this service for the first time last week and unsure if I will use again. I was trying to rent a home depot truck at my local location but they said the only vehicles available have to be rented online through fetch. They did check other locations and found some available for in-store rental but I was on a time constraint and needed a vehicle ASAP so I assumed renting would be quicker than going to another location (next closest one is about 10 mins away) The initial process to set up my fetch account and book a vehicle took around 5 minutes and then another 10-15 minutes while I waited for approval. The rental rates appeared to be the same as renting in-store. There was a flat bed truck along with 2 different size box trucks in the lot but the fetch website did not show the flat bed as available for rental. I had no issues with the truck itself. I ended up needing the truck longer than expected. Extending the rental is easy. What I found out afterwards was the rental is in 1 hour increments. I was assuming it would be the same as in-store rentals which is 15 minute increments. When I returned the truck the flat bed truck was in exact same spot from when I left. I'm assuming the flat bed truck was never used even though the website didn't show the truck available to rent. When I rent trucks through home depot directly there is a $150 deposit and your rental charge is deducted from the deposit. With fetch I was charged the rental in addition to the deposit. You get your deposit back either way, just with fetch I'll need to wait for the whole $150 deposit to go back into my account. Not sure how long I will have to wait for my deposit to come back. In my experience, with home depot in-store rental, whatever amount of deposit is left minus the rental rate is back in my account within 1-3 days. Fetch is a convenient service but next time I need a home depot truck I will not use fetch unless absolutely necessary. read more

Good concept As a 10 year customer of truck rental service from Home Depot these trucks are great. However the company managing and implementing this new no contact experience has no idea on maintaining the expectation from regular patrons of this service It take 15 minutes to setup the account in the parking lot, it takes 2 minutes to take photos upon preparing for the rental and return. Furthermore home depot would allow the charges to come out of the deposit, well this company charges for deposit, then separate charge for service and will surprise charge you for additional service without notification. Your rushed within a time frame to get everything done within a specified time or you will be penalized with duplicate fees. Just keep your phone ready and dont waist time in the parking lot. The service is higher than the contract cost the stores originally had which I rather pay another person to do than the benefit of another app company. read more

Very modern, quick, do-it-yourself way to rent a truck/van for a few hours. Approval process took 10-15 min. Just like uhaul, you must fill up the tank to the level you received it. First 50 miles free, then 55 cents per mile after. Van fit my 5 seated sectional sofa. It was just big enough for the longer 3 cushion portion. Paid $42.50 after tax. I hated every minute of rental process! So incredibly time consuming. Went to home depot to get a van to quickly transport something like many times before. This ended up being 2 hour long rental process! You have to make an account with them, upload YOUR selfie with driver's license, front and back of your DL, your insurance card , they have to call your insurance agent and confirm which takes time. Once you are finally approved you get to the car and it is locked! To unlock the car you need to take pictures from all sides, upload them and click to unlock. By that time you are already 20 minutes into your paid rental and you didn't even sat in the car yet! It was to late to cancel... Thank you but no thank you. I will not do this again. read more

To top it off, i explained why i couldn't not use their logo/ advertisement infested vehicle since i wasn't allowed to take it into the condominium and their answer was well is not our fault and they still charged me full price even though i canceled the rental. I needed a truck to move some things from a business TODAY. I made a reservation to pick it up. I get to the location with time to comfortably get situated with my vehicle. I follow the directions to a lockbox and, "surprise" no keys. I then begin to feel my stress level rising... I have used this service before so I know how seamless this can go. I get on the app/website to try and get help. I try to use the (unlock) function. That does not work either. I call support at least 5 times and no one answers.( It's 1:30pm on a Wednesday) I try to end the reservation on my phone. There is no way to go forward in the app, get help, or say there is an issue, unless you go through the official "return" process . I go home and try 3 more times to reach support. At about 2:40pm I get a phone call back and was requested to verify the empty lockbox. Fortunately I did take several photos. She then apologized, offered my money back, and a $15 dollar coupon for my next rental. (Final offer) Unfortunately this time FetchTruck caused me confusion, and delay. Not to mention time and money. I think it's very bare minimum to charge me for a rental I never stepped foot in, and then offer that money back to me as if it rectifies my loss today. And then, say try us again, so you can use this coupon. I'm positive this could've been handled better, I 'm hoping it will be. read more

It was less than half the price of U-Haul, Ryder, Budget, or Penske (yes, I got a quote from them all) I was completely surprised at how seamless and easy it was to use; there is an app like interface that let you book your truck; then pick it up before The other guys aren't even open. You get to unlock your truck with your phone; when you have in the fact that they pay for the gas (up front) and have snazzy new trucks; it was less than half of the other guys! Discovered Fetch Truck Rental while scouring the internet for affordable option to pick up Washer and Dryer I purchased from store to my home. With mileage, taxes and fees the larger companies like Uhaul and Penske didn't make sense. Fetch on the other hand had a 6" truck for $12/hr with 75 miles included making it much more affordable option. The rental experience was quick and easy. No service desk. No employees. No long lines. So long as you gave a smarrphone you are good to go. My vehicle was located in Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta on a side street. My account on the Fetch website unlocks when you are next to it,, makes you take pictures of vehicle from all angles and let's you know where the vehicle keys are located. After that, you are all done and ready to go. When you return the vehicle, it's the exact same steps. That easy. Highly recommend for a short haul service of 3 hours or less. If you have a longer haul, the bigger guys might be a better option. read more

Everything was set for our rental and then everything went wrong with them letting us know our van was in the shop the day of rental and we had to pick up and return our new van at a location much farther away from our house and the location where we were picking up an item. We were originally quoted 75 miles free and we were charged almost 40 dollars for miles because they did not alter our reservation to show the original quote. The van was also returned 100% full of gas and they said it was at 80%. We had the worst experience renting our van and will not be using the service again. There was not one part of the process that went smoothly from us not being informed that our vehicle would not be available until 5 hours beforehand, having to go to a much further pick up location, the person we spoke with tried only giving us a pickup truck, and then being severely overcharged when we were told we would be charged 10 dollars less than our original rate. Please look at some other options unless this is a last minute option for you! read more

I am extremely disappointed in Fetch Truck Rental. I have rented a pick up truck twice from Fetch. The first time was to move a piece of furniture and I noticed there was a hitch on the truck. I was so excited that I could use the truck to tow a boat. I checked all over the website including the terms of agreement and FAQ. There was nothing prohibiting towing. I rented the truck for the entire day costing me over $50. After I picked up the truck and got it home, I noticed a lock on the tow hitch. I called the number to ask where the key was and was told that they don't allow towing with their vehicles. I asked for a full refund and was only offered a $25 refund. I said that I was not satisfied with only partial refund and was told they would check into it and return my call on Monday (this was Saturday). I heard from no one on Monday and had to call them to inquire on Tuesday. When they returned that call, I was still only offered $25. They should have offered me a full refund and they should have clear restrictions on use of their trucks for towing on their website. read more
