I love going here for my art supplies! The staff is very helpful and the place is nice and clean. I think their prices are definitely cheaper than some places; say for instance, Michael's. It is a bit of a drive for me to United Art and Education compared to other art supply stores but so worth it! Though I go there for art supplies, their teacher section is outrageous. It brought back so many memories of grade school and answered the infamous question as to where my teachers had bought those fancy bells that sat on their desks. I am an art teacher, and United Art and Ed is really THE only store in the Dayton area to find it all when it comes to art and teaching supplies. I can always count on them to have whatever random thing I'm looking for, that another art/craft store doesn't carry. The staff knows the store and stock, and I've always had good service. Once I really needed mat board, but the color I needed was damaged at the corner. The manager sold it to me at a great discount, so that I could buy more pieces and make up for the unusable ends. As someone who still uses pen & ink, I really appreciate a store that actually sells artist supplies. Stores like this are a dying breed and I feel fortunate that there is one in my area so I'm not relegated to buying my supplies from the internet. United Art & Education is clean, well-lighted with a friendly staff who leave you alone to browse around but are always available for questions or helping you find a certain item. I am an artist and I am able to find quality equipment for my many different projects. If I can't find what I want there is always a knowlegable person there to help me find it. Since I have a 4 year old great grandson I am always looking for educational products for him and have been doing so since he was about 18 months old. United Art and Education offers the BEST variety of teaching materials and classroom decor I have ever seen! I love coming here when I am in the area to stock up on materials for my classroom. I have ventured into the art section a couple of times as well, and had to hold myself back! The selection is incredible! It is always clean, well-stocked, and organized. There are always deals to be had, but the prices are reasonable any way. The store is great for shopping for arts and crafts gifts for our many grandkids, for both Christmas and birthday gifts. We can find gifts appropriate for all ages and tastes. We also find useful items for our own interests and hobbies, including art supplies and craft paints and materials. The staff is very helpful in helping us find what we need. read more

I like the variety of choice in the learning materials. Things are easy to find. I also find the size of the building is spacious. Sometimes teacher stores tend to seem small and jam packed with stuff - a little claustrophobic. Restroom is large and clean - that is always a plus in any retail establishment! read more
