I am an IPFW student, formerly and education major and currently working on a dual major in Fine Arts and Art Education so as you can imagine I am very familiar with the store. Sometimes I feel like its become my second or third home and I have no complaints about this. Both teacher materials as well as art supplies are reasonably priced and they are almost always well stocked in both selection and quantity. On the rare occasion that something is out of stock in the store, they are happy to get it on a shipment right away and it usually never takes more than a week to get what you are looking for. Although I am now quite familiar with the store, this has not always been the case. However, I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful in assisting customers in what they are looking for. You can tell you are in a place with a high standard of customer service and satisfaction. I would both choose and recommend United Art and Education to teachers, aspiring teachers, artists, students, and crafter's alike. Great products. Great prices.Great Service. read more

This is my favorite store ever. Every time I walk in I take a deep breath and sigh from the sheer joy this store gives me. It's comparable to a kid in a candy store I suppose! It isn't just because of all the 'toys' and tools I want but also because I've been going to UA&E ever since I can remember! (Oh the memories!) My dad is an artist and has always gone here for his supplies too! Anyways, they always have everything thing I need and want and more! It's always my go-to for art supplies, gifts for my 6 year old niece, and any craft project I wish to tackle. The employees are very knowledgeable and have helped me numerous times find just what I needed. I also always suggest UA&E to everyone I know when they need something that I know they can find there and they always tell me how awesome the store is because of everything they have. I have shopped here a few times over the years for my art supplies , it is like walking into candy land for me . I went today to restock some of my graphic pencils , and to take a look around . I am never able to just walk in and grab what I want , not because I can't but because there is just to much to look at . Shopping for anything else takes me about 5 minutes , shopping here is never less than an hour . I am always greeted by the staff , not just the ones closest to the door but every member that I come across in the store , and all are willing to help me find what I came for . None of them are pushy . I have never left without what I came for , and have always left happy with the service and the line of products I had to choose from . In Fort Wayne, IN, United Arts carries an excellant reputation with teachers and artists alike. I love art and if I cannot find it anywhere else I always know I can find it at United Arts and Education. They carry name brand oil, water and acrylic paints as well as, my favoriate watercolor paper, Arches. I love shopping at Untied Arts even for tutoring supplies for my LD Student. The variety of supplies in teaching materials and art supplies in one place makes it the place where I love to go first for all my educational and artistic needs. They also have well educated assistants to help when I cannot find something. They are always courteous and they go out of their way to find what I need. I absolutely love United Art and Education! I go there for all sorts of things. I gather art supplies, office supplies, and future gifts when I go. The staff are all supportive and helpful, willing to try their hardest to answer any questions asked. Its a cozy, beautiful, fun, and educational business that promotes creative thinking and learning. The price of items are fair and reasonable for their high quality and variety of uses. I could wander this store for hours and encourage people to go and at least spend a few hours just looking around at all of the material they offer. I'm currently a double art major (photography and ceramics) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, but my hometown is Fort Wayne. I will make special trips home so I can go shopping at United for my art supplies. I take an average of 3 studio classes a semester and I've always gotten my supplies here. No stores in Lafayette compare. Prices are better at United, the isles are so well organized I find anything I need super fast! And customer service is so good! No matter what kind of mood I'm in, I always leave happy because the employees are so nice! In fact I'm coming home this saturday to get some clay for my ceramics class. United Art and Education is the best store! They have everything your looking for and more. My kids love coming here to shop for unique and educational items. United Art and Education helps encourage and inspire my kids to want to learn more. My kids would rather come here to shop than any other toy store. The staff are very helpful and nice. The store is very clean and organized. The products are of high quality and the prices are reasonable. I also enjoy the coupons I receive on-line. If you sign up on their web-site they will send you valuable coupons to use at your next shopping visit. Every trip I make to United Art Supply is a good experience. The store is well organized and the staff is always happy to help me find what I am looking for. They have been great, in particular to college students, by setting up sections of the store that are supplies specifically needed by classes at Saint Francis. This is extremely helpful when you rush there between classes needing supplies. They also provide coupons through their emailing list which is helpful in saving money, which let's face it, all college students and teachers could use. I absolutely love United Arts! I have been shopping here for over 30 years for my Church and Sunday school materials. I teach Sun.School and I can find just about everything I need to enhance my lessons from the bulletin board decorations to actually finding materials that coincide with lessons. But it's the staff that I think is fantastic! They are friendly, helpful, and know what they are talking about. Not like all other stores today who seem clueless. I had to fill out papers for tax exemption awhile back; even my husband commented on how patient they were. The only problem with United Art is that they are too well stocked with a wide variety of goods. I'm a student and ANY time I need supplies for art classes, or even study guide sheets, for Spanish as well as any other language, and I ALWAYS find more stuff then I need when I go, but I never regret it. I went to get underglaze for my ceramics class (and such a wide variety of colors and options) and ended up getting a 4'x6' wall map, as well as new ceramic tools. It's SO worth going there for supplies if not just for the option to walk around and find other stuff you need or really want to have. I never leave the store with JUST what I came in to buy, in a good way! read more

I remember when I was a little girl and my grandmother would take me to a candy store. We'd pick up a little tray and go past all these counters with what seemed like hundreds of penny candies. She would guide me to making the best selections with a nickel or dime. I was over whelmed, over joyed and completely inundated with all the glorious sights and smells! Now this store, United Art and Education, is the only place I can still get those feelings and memories from my childhood. United Art and Education is a great "candy store." I love the variety of products, things you can't easily find elsewhere. The sales clerk was a tremendous help on Friday, April 21, helping me find exactly what I wanted. However, not one word was said about the 10% off if you buy a green bag and fill it. I didn't find out about the sale until I got home and found an email about it. I had seen the bags by the door when I walked in, but didn't see anything about filling it and getting 10% off the items in it. I passed up the bags because I have so many of them. However, had I been told about the discount, I would have bought one. read more

We are a homeschooling family, and this is where I go for all kinds of resources, especially art supplies, books, and stickers. I love that there is a wide variety of art supplies for a range of budgets and abilities, from the very basic things for a preschooler to high-quality paints and pastels for an adult. As a first year music teacher, I was in need of many decorations and supplies for my classroom. This is Absolutly by far my favorite store! I was an art major in college and United Art and Education was my go-to store for ALL my art supplies. The prices were good and the people were super helpful. Now I am a stay at home mom and I homeschool two of my three children. My third will begin Kindergarten, in the fall. As a teacher, I absolutely love this place! Everytime I go in the employees are always willing to help me. The remodel makes the store seem so much bigger. Everything is labeled and I know where to go. They also have a great stock of items! I always find what I'm looking for. Even if I wasn't a teacher and simply a parent, I would have to go to this store to buy items to use at home with my children. I am a home school mother who loves United Art and Education. My only dismay is in the fact that they are on the north side and I live on the south side of Ft. Wayne. I like the recent change in layout of their Ft. Wayne store. The store is always fresh, clean and welcoming. I really enjoy the coupons they mail out to those on their loyal teachers mailing list.
