I attended the closing night of Stevie Wonder's tour at the United Center. It was my first time in the legendary center. It looks older outside But it is really nice and huge inside! I really wanted to see the Michael Jordan stature but I read it was moved inside to an atrium area that was not open during the concert but check the hours and you should be able to see it. I would gladly return for a game or an event! Great time. Great seats and reasonably priced. read more

I loved the dessert cart! Great Blackhawks cookie! You cannot bring any big bag. They won't let you in. It must be under 10" x 6" x 2". No backpacks or other bags are allowed. Exceptions for guests with required medical equipment. Bag check locker rentals are available at the Uber Zone entrance near Madison St. and Wood St. You also go through a scan. read more

I've been to the United Center for a Bulls game, for a Blackhawks game, and for a comedy show. All of those have been great! The place is small enough that you'll get a good view of the event. There are tons of good food options, from super simple to sit down type places too. The drinks are also pretty good with lots of options and a good beer list. The servers and other staff have also been awesome. So why not 5 stars? It's the cost. I know, duh, this is a huge corporate arena with expensive sporting events and a captive audience. So, yeah, be prepared to spend ~$13 for a beer (or more), and $50 for the absolutely least expensive tickets. Unless you are independently wealthy, you're not taking your family of 4 to an event here without dropping $400 or more. I'll be back. I don't have a choice if I want to see certain shows. But it won't be nearly as often as I would like. read more

Love coming to United Center! I usually am here for concerts, but I've been to a few Blackhawk games as well and I've always had good experiences. I love how big the hallways are surrounding the area. Those can get pretty crowded but because they are such wide hallways, it can help counter crowds a bit. The food is solid, traditional stadium fare. The staff goes a great job making sure the lines moves quickly. The bathrooms are clean and line moves quick because there are so many stalls. We've made so many great memories here, and I'm sure they'll be many more to come! read more

The United Center is massive. It was my first time visiting and I was overwhelmed by the lines. The security lines moved incredibly slow but I understand since there were levels and levels of extra security for the DNC. Once inside, there was a lack of air circulation. It was too hot and humid inside. The air felt stale and uncomfortable. Thankfully, the bathroom lines were manageable and the United Center staff was diligent about keeping the bathrooms clean. There's also a very large unisex bathroom with tons of stalls that I was happy to see. Overall, I think the United Center shouldn't overbook their arena since it felt overcrowded and uncomfortable. read more

Great venue for a concert. We recently saw Stevie Wonder. The acoustics were surprisingly good for such a large arena. The concessions and restrooms were plentiful. We dined at an onsite restaurant and it was great. Ushers were super kind and friendly. Parking can be crazy so we grabbed a shuttle from the hotel. Located on W. Madison St. and S. Wood St. We came here for a pre-season Bulls game, and it was a good time. The arena is clean, and everything was very organized. Seats are comfortable, and I like that the stairs are not steep. Plenty of food & drink concession stands. Staff was even taking drink orders from our seats. The restrooms were clean. Sound is great, and the AC was at the perfect temperature, in my opinion. There's enough staff to guide you to your seat in case you need help finding it. Their merch store is pretty big on the 1st floor by the main entrance. I'm not sure about the parking situation because we ubered, but even Uber was extremely organized with a huge tent lounge, making it comfortable as you wait for your ride. After the game, I noticed there were many buses right in front of the arena for public transportation. Overall, this is a great venue, and we  enjoyed the United Center. read more

Date of visit: February 2, 2024 Since Madonna will never, ever come to Milwaukee, we have to make a trek down to Chicago to see The Queen of Pop when she is on tour. I don't love United Center, but I also don't hate it. The halls are a bit narrow, which can make navigating to a restroom or a merch desk tricky, but the facility is brightly lit and tends to be fairly well staffed. Usher staff was very pleasant and helpful before and after the concert, though Security left much to be desired. There weren't any instructions as to what to take out of your pockets as you approached the metal detectors (every venue is different) but staff would get upset if you didn't follow the unverbalized, unsigned instructions. Lastly, snack options were pretty disappointing--$11 for a bag of Garrett's Chicago Mix? Before tax? And then the register defaults to a 16% tip for the staff person when all they did was run my card as the bags of popcorn were on the counter for me to grab? read more

Big fan of the UC especially during basketball season. Parking out front is $32 and they accept CC for payment. There are other parking lots that vary from $15-$30. UC is a fun arena that knows how to put on a show. You can sit anywhere and have a great view. I recommend arriving a little earlier than your event to avoid waiting in line to get in and also give yourself some time to walk around to check out stores and grab some food and drinks. Staff members are helpful to guide you to your seat and are quick to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. Food and drinks can be on the pricier side however that's basically everywhere when going to a game/show etc in Chicago. Tip - if you're seeing a Bulls game and have an AMEX card they offer 10% off. Make sure to let em know you're using an Amex card so they can apply that discount. read more

Went to a concert here it was so unprofessional. They had no people telling you where to go. Had one person tell me one line to go in and then waited in that line for 45 minutes and just to tell me it was early entry only. When I asked they were extremely rude for no reason. Will not be coming here again for a concert. read more

Arena Tour Series (United Center), Part 1 "Everybody was Kung Fu fighting (huh!). Those cats were fast as lightning (ha!). In fact, it was a little bit frightening (huh!). But they did it with expert timing (ha!)." Carl Douglas The tone for this hockey game was set during the pre-game announcements when fans were told that they must contribute if @nhlblackhawks were to be assured of a victory. Many of the fans took this to heart and one sitting below us levied nearly continuous abuse of the glass separating him from the combatants. Based upon his body language I'm guessing that his comments were not affirming of the opposing players or the refs. While there was occasional booing for some of the penalty calls, the loudest boos initially seemed to be because there hadn't been a fight...yet. Well it wasn't too long before it was time to rumble! While the first fight was a little lackluster, the title bout lasted so long we thought there might be a 3rd intermission! I learned that the quality of a hockey fight is also judged by the players and both teams applauded with their sticks when this one finally drew to a close. Also worthy of applause was @anthem_singer for his performance of the national anthem! Although this was just our 6th NHL game, we have a suggestion for @nhl to make these contests even more exciting. We noticed that just prior to each period the referees skated about the rink with great enthusiasm. Well how about sending out just one more ref than is needed each time and having them all duke it out Gladiator style to determine which one is benched for that period? C'mon, you gotta know that would take things next level and the crowd would go bananas! We were impressed with the fully enclosed Uber Zone across the street from the arena which had us on the way back to our hotel within approximately 10 minutes of our arrival. Visiting from San Diego we thought it pretty hilarious when the announcer proclaimed excitedly, "For the 1st time in the last 72 hours we've gotten up to 3 degrees here in Chicago!" First time at an NBA game a few weeks ago, and all I can say is "Wow". Parking was a breeze and once we made it to the private suite, I knew this was gonna be a "night to remember" The fan interaction was top tier and the energy was electric throughout the Bulls vs Mavericks game. They even had a "Baby Crawl" race, which was a highlight, during halftime. Truly an unforgettable experience! Gonna share a glimpse of another highlight of the night...the Dessert Cart!!! When it reached out suite, we were literally like kids in a candy store. May sound corny but "Suite Life is Sweet!!" Literally and figuratively. read more

Horrible. Who runs this place? I attended the Drake concert that took place at this arena on 7/5. Being from out of town, I had no idea what to expect when arriving. The day finally came and it was unfortunately pouring cats and dogs that day. It was a literal full on thunderstorm.. We took a rideshare to the arena and we were dropped off at the "rideshare area" which is across the street form the arena. We followed everyone else and from the drop off area you have to go through the rideshare tent. From here, you are to then walk across the street to the actual arena and wait in line to get in. This we did, but since it was pouring outside no one wanted to exit the rideshare tent. People were hogging the doors, pushing, and shoving into each other. I did not see one security here and I was worried as to a fight breaking out. We didn't care about the rain at this point since we were already soaked so we pushed our way out those doors. We sprinted our way to what was the side entrances to the arena and again people were pushing and shoving trying to get in. It was a complete madhouse and every single person was drenched. These lines moved like snails. Matter a fact, snails move faster. It took us 45 minutes to get in and the entire time we were under the pouring rain. The person manning this entrance was doing a horrible job. There was no control and people were just walking through security, were these people just hired?... I feared for my safety as to no one in my line from what I saw was patted down. Coming in from the side door was a huge mistake for us as we did not know the layout of the venue. There were no maps from what we saw nor any employees to help guide us to our seats like our Arizona arenas have. SMH. The merch line was about a 2 hour wait so we skipped that. The concert was so much fun though and Drake put on a great show. It made us forget the nightmare we had just endured. Trying to leave this arena was again another literal nightmare, thankfully it was now not raining. I saw a security lady get punched in the head, people arguing, pushing, fake merch being sold outside, to girls walking around barefoot. Ghetto. The rideshare tent was a legit sauna and one of the worst things ever created. Why the F would you hold people hostage in this hot a** tent and have them wait there for their rides? The worst idea ever. I felt like I was suffocating as there was no ventilation. Oh and you do have to wait in this tent and you are not allowed to exit until you can show proof that your ride is outside.. wtf. Hate this place with a passion, see you never. read more

We have a suite here, so we stopped in to catch the Blackhawks - Ducks game. Our suite attendant was awesome! She made great suggestions and was very attentive! It was a breeze getting in and out. The view was decent, but these suites seem to be much better for hanging out and socializing than actually watching the game. The energy level was just 'ok'... I'm from the DC area and used to the Caps, which are not only a very energetic team, but watching their games is such fun. Getting in and out was easy. The only annoying part were all the shady taxi drivers all over asking if they can give a ride on the way out - the staff should do a better job keeping them away. Also, same with the homeless... a guy with his dog begging was very annoying and coincidently, I saw him the night before somewhere else downtown walking in traffic with that dog - I could careless about him, but someone needs to ensure the dog is taken care of, healthy, and kept safe from his odd actions. Oh, and keep the beggars away from the stadium too. Overall - A great time was had! read more

Madonna is a living legend, and I really wanted to see her maybe this last time as you never know.  We saw her one other time, and it was also here at the UC back in 2009.  This was a rescheduled performance as she almost died from a bacterial infection last year.  She and her large entourage put on a dazzling spectacle of a show and as seems typical for her these days. Like her best ever 2012 Super Bowl half-time show this was a concert but also a lot of musical and dance theatre.  There are no live musicians and the music Madonna sings to is from sound tracks, but man, even on the 300 level, the steady background beat was heart thumping. Well, in spite of the recent lawsuit she brought onto herself in Brooklyn for performing much later than advertised, she still made her first appearance for this 8:30pm show at 9:53pm, duh.  We got 1 hour and 15 minutes of loud DJ music starting at 8:35pm.  The show lasted 2 hours and 22 minutes, and ended at 12:15am, but in the end it was worth it for this once in a decade spectacle.  Thank you Madonna for being a great and sexy performing artist and putting on another great show.   The United Center did a physically nice job as usual as an indoor venue for a world class concert.  However, I just wish they would open the doors earlier than just a stingy 1 hour before show time instead of making us wait outside in February.  Also unless you have money to burn, eat or drink up before arriving as for example a premium draft beer here is up to $19 now, pfft!  Leaving here at 12:15am also made for a breeze of a commute going home though, yaay on that. read more

Caught my first basketball game at the United Center recently. It was the Bulls vs. Knicks on Derrick Rose Night. Being a fan of basketball it was really cool to see all the Bulls championship banners and the Jordan statue. I had a seat in the 300s level but closer to the front of the section. The view was pretty good and didn't feel you felt too far from the action. Hope to catch a game again here sometime. read more

Don't plan on getting tickets at the window. They wanted to charge me $250 per person on walk up to see a Bulls game. Crazy!! Get your tickets in advance if you want to go. They don't even let you see the MJ museum unless you come early. Otherwise they won't let you in--not even to use the restroom. Disappointing. read more

The Madhouse on Madison is always a fun time watching Blackhawks hockey. Food and drinks are expensive but great entertainment with plenty of bathrooms. Parking costs $26-$31 for closest lots. Don't miss the pre game show on the scoreboard. read more

Growing up as a huge basketball fan, it was my dream to go to the United center to watch the Bulls play. It was the ring of honor night where they facilitated all the former legends. Most of them were there except for Jordan and Pippen. It was unfortunate for the fans who came all the way to have a glimpse of them. Anyways, I got to enjoy the game against the Warriors where Steph shot crazy as usual. One of the best arenas with the Jordan statue in the front. It was pretty crowded mostly because of the ring of honor ceremony. I was so excited to take pics with some of the players including Curry and take some pics on the court. Stepping out onto the court was unbelievable. Lots of great memories. read more

Parking is a hassle.So is traffic when leaving. Once you're inside, people are available to guide you to your seat if needed. Plenty of signs to read if you wanna, self find your seat. Not too hard. Acoustics are not great in this arena. I generally go to the Blackhawks only. I had a friend who worked many shows for the stage and light union here , and he said performers always brought their own sound stuff in but acknowledged they were limited because of poor acoustics. But he also said the Wirtz family was very kind to the stage and light union workers. Sight lines are ok. Not usually a huge problem seeing your event. The Wirtz/Reinsdorf family usually dont have food or drink specials here, Although Ive heard they cater to box owners/users and that would make sense. The rest of us paying customers are simply sheep. A number to be tallied. Food & drink prices are a bit higher here, than going to other arenas in Chicago. But thats always how it's been. When I had season tickets at the old Chicago Stadium, the food/beverage was overly high back then as well. Bill Wirtz used to say who's going to buy my beer??? All in all its two and 1/2 stars. I gave it 3 cause I usually run into a real nice usher or concession worker that makes my experience slightly above average. Washrooms are kept slightly above average even in the third period (hockey) or in the second half of the basketball game they at least tolerable. Paid for parking before to skip all the hustle and bustle. The food vendors were gratefully expensive and the food was terribly mediocre. Seating was at ease, as long as you followed the signs lol. The arena was pretty packed! We also Visited a bar called Goose Island grabbed a couple drinks and enjoyed the rest of the game. If you've never went to a basketball game, you should! Going to the united center for any event is always a good time. I've been to different arenas and I have to say that United center is the best! The parking is convenient. They have multiple parking lots and they are all pretty close to the arena. It always very clean and they always have plenty of staff to help you and guide you to your seat should you need assistance. The best thing I like about the United Center is the fact that the seats are comfortable and there is plenty of space between you and the people around you. I don't have to feel restricted and as if I'm sitting on top of the person next to me. They also have plenty of locations to get food and drinks. The United Center in Chicago, Illinois, is a premier venue for sports and my recent (and 5th) experience attending a Bulls game there was nothing short of exceptional. Down to the security process which was fast and efficient, a consistent experience that ensures a hassle-free entry year after year. I get the 40 person super suite (I call it the nest) every year for a group of my clients and the food is always wonderful, the staff is so attentive to all my clients and their children, and watching a game from the nest is such a great experience. The running of the bulls and the iconic team announcement music to start the game will never get old. The true highlight of the evening is undoubtedly the dessert cart. How many calories are on this dessert cart total? I want to know!
